slybison8 said:The stewards have officially confirmed that if the race is called early, half points will be awarded to the top eight finishers. This means Mark Weber would walk away with 0.5 points—which would actually be a first in Formula 1 history, seeing someone earn a half-point.

I recall there being one specific season back when Prost and Senna were battling where they used to award half points like that.

The FIA is honestly such a disorganized outfit.

It’s common knowledge that these massive monsoon-style downpours usually hit around 6:00 PM.

Yet, they insist on scheduling the start for 5:00 PM.

If they had stuck to the usual 2:00 PM kickoff, everything would be running smoothly right now.🙏

And now, having to deal with these slick tires on top of everything else...😁

Hey guys, I'm actually outside the US right now, so we won't be able to follow that one.

The Sun is beating down like a heat lamp... honestly, I find myself hoping for a little monsoon around the midway point of the race. 🙂 😁

Pole Sitter Jenson Button - who has never driven his Brawn car in the rain - tells a grid-walking Martin Brundle that a shower is forecast for precisely 5pm local time - that's bang on start time, folks.

Honestly, I don't care that he pulled out; he showed us exactly what he's capable of behind the wheel.☕

If it stays dry, you’re going to be the first one pointing fingers at me if Alonso ends up finishing outside the top five or six.🙂 😍

Fair enough.
🙏

Anyway, let's see what Jergovic has to say about all this.😁

What is there to be afraid of? We all know how Alonso performs when the track is soaked... just look back at what happened in Canada...😍🙏

Let it pour if it wants to. At the end of the day, the drivers who can truly handle the chaos are the ones who come out on top.☕

But that was back in 2006😁

And we all know how poorly that turned out.😍

Subaru isn't going to happen, that's for sure.

As far as high-level motorsports go, I'd say Mazda is more in the same league as Volkswagen.😁

🤣

You’re much better off watching what happens when the rain starts pouring down in Kuala Lumpur.😁

These tires feel incredibly worn out and slick to me

It’s honestly frustrating dealing with slicks that have zero tread left 🤷

I was just sitting here thinking about something a bit ridiculous

What would happen if a driver simply decided to ignore a black flag and refused to pull off the track?

Is there some kind of Formula 1 police force that would intercept them, or would officials actually set up physical barricades right on the circuit to stop them?

That’s the scenario that’s been playing on my mind lately☕

So, Ralf is mentioning that Alonso is clocking the fastest time in the first sector despite using KERS.

He’s anticipating him taking that first corner quite wide, but if you ask me...

HE'LL BE AHEAD OF EVERYONE. 😁

Nicole Reyes97 said:No sign of rain just yet... the broadcast finally kicked off on RTL, and the sun is actually shining.😢

It’s definitely better when the sun is out; once the clouds break over here, the rain tends to turn into a complete deluge.

What exactly would it take for them to call off the race? 🤷
