Now that he's totally lost it and dropped down to 17th place 😂

he managed to 🙏 🙏 🙏
Could they have maybe broken these lap times down into smaller increments? 😁
Well, we really blew it, didn't we? Just completely fell apart. 😢
Michael Lee4 said:If you look at those first two practice sessions, Hamilton and his car are in deep trouble. It’s likely going to lead to a bad qualifying position and a lot of tension, which usually results in some desperate, messy overtaking attempts or someone flying off track during the race. That said, I'm rooting for him.😁

BTW... I was kind of hoping McLaren was just warming up and would kill it in Australia. But after seeing this morning's session, I'm starting to doubt they're hiding anything that'll actually help them tomorrow.

Realistically, there's nothing from them, at least for this first race, until they fix up some kind of diffuser.🙏

I just can't wrap my head around it—are the people over at the betting sites drunk? They've got Alonso sitting way too high up in the standings for a win.🤷

My bad if the mod wants to delete this, feel free to wipe it

I was just checking Bwin, and the odds for a Hamilton win this Sunday are sitting at 25.

Man, if things go our way, a little side bet could really pay off.
Think about it—if half the field ends up wrecking their cars in the first turn, and then we start seeing KERS issues kicking in...

Hamilton might just cruise straight to the top.🙏
hollowhawk412 said:It's just about satisfying the sponsors🙏

But if they don't show anything meaningful this season... he should be out the door immediately.🙏

Unfortunately, he already showed what he's capable of today by going off track. 😁
hollowhawk412 said:I didn't see your post while I was typing mine... though maybe I did address some of the reasons behind the conspiracy you're mentioning.🙏

Great post.🙏

What’s your take? Are we just being forced to endure Nelson Piquet Jr. claiming that Fernando Alonso doesn't have any real competition,

or is there actually someone being incredibly incompetent over at Renault? 🤷
Maria Nelson2 said:Oh yeah... and being taken out by someone dumping a full KERS charge right into you.....🤣 🤣we're definitely going to see some people getting fried out there👍

I can just picture it—everyone slamming that throttle at once, guns blazing, right as they charge toward that very first turn.

I’m really expecting Red Bull to take off this time around.

KERS gives you wings. 🙏
Michael Lee4 said:The diffusers are absolutely in a gray area, and that trio will likely exploit it. The FIA will probably play along since they just handed the fans a way more exciting season than last year. It doesn't really matter if they ban those diffusers in three races or not—the damage is already done.

Since I love a good conspiracy theory, it’s pretty interesting how this specific diffuser "idea" only occurred to that trio (teams that haven't actually achieved anything in Formula 1 for decades), while the heavy hitters fighting for the podium (Ferrari, McLaren, Renault, and BMW) didn't think of it—or rather, they knew better. I get the feeling someone whispered in their ears exactly what would fly just to kick the season off with a bang.

Maybe I'm wrong, though... ☕

btw... you can tell a lot of drivers are missing braking points and sliding onto the grass, probably because they're still adjusting to the extra power from KERS. Either way, qualifying is going to be insane, and the race will be even better. As things stand, McLaren might not even make it out of the first round of qualifying. 😢

You aren't wrong.🙏
Amanda Kelly said:The cars are heavily damaged. Every single one looks like a total wreck from the front. We'll just have to wait and see how these beat-up machines hold up during actual race conditions when things get tight. I’ve got a bad feeling about this...

total carnage in turn one 😁

It’s great to see Buemi at the top 🙂

A comment for the ages. 😍
Joshua Thomas84 said:...that Toyota is finally going to be a serious contender for the title

THAT🎉 YO🎉 TA🎉

Look, Toyota would only really be contenders if they were the only ones running those diffusers. But when you have two other teams playing the same game, it’s a much tougher climb than it looks. 😍
No matter how you look at it, I’ve just lost my passion for Formula 1

To hell with sports when they suddenly jump from being an afterthought to being the center of everything😁

fadedpanther4 said:Easy there. Just be patient. If things look like this tomorrow, I imagine my legal team over at Ferrari will start breathing down Max's neck right away. 😉

I just don't get why they waited until the very last minute to file that protest. 🤷
slynomad32 said:It seems to me that some of the teams weren't pushing quite as hard as they probably could have... I mean, why go full throttle and risk blowing out an engine when they've already limited the number of engine changes allowed? It feels like certain outfits are just playing it safe, husbanding their resources... that's just my take on it.
As for Ferrari, they’re the constructors' champions, and honestly, it's like finding a million bucks under the tree on Christmas morning... you wouldn't want to mess up a good thing, and thank God, Ferrari isn't exactly some bottom-tier outfit.

Ferrari went through a twenty-five-year drought where they were basically nothing, so why shouldn't they have a little slip-up again? 😁
slynomad32 said:We'll see how everything shakes out tomorrow during qualifying, and even more importantly, during the race itself...☕

I have a feeling that things aren't going to change as much as people think they will.

Those are massive differences.

KERS isn't doing much help here. 😁
1. Nico Rosberg Williams 1m26.053s

2. Rubens Barrichello Brawn 1m26.157s

3. Jarno Trulli Toyota 1m26.350s

4. Mark Webber Red Bull 1m26.370s

5. Jenson Button Brawn 1m26.374s

6. Timo Glock Toyota 1m26.443s

And honestly, it’s pretty obvious at this point 🙂
urbanmoose3 said:The way Williams is handling themselves on track right now is quite something 😁 I’m genuinely hoping they can maintain this momentum and stay right at the top of the pack.

I’ve been looking over the results from this second practice session, and honestly, I think we’re going to see some real trouble regarding these diffusers.

It is incredibly obvious that these three teams using them have a massive advantage.

This needs to be banned immediately; otherwise, the whole competition just loses its meaning.
Jessica Gonzalez said:Honestly, I didn't even realize Formula 1 was kicking off this weekend. It feels like there hasn't been much hype or promotion for the season so far. One good thing about all this chaos and uncertainty, though, is that it's anyone's guess who might actually come out on top by the end of the year.

The trash always floats to the surface.🙏
