driftingbear29 said:For me, nothing beat that opening scene where Ashley Judd shows up 😍😍 🙂

I honestly think it would’ve been way more engaging if they’d gone a different route—maybe she survives and teams up with Banning to help rescue the president 🙂 just to let them navigate some chaos together along the way 🙂 (you know, add a little romance 😍 🍿 😁)

Anyway, that's just my take 🙂 And yeah, I'll say it again: one of the absolute highlights of the movie was whenever she was on screen 😂

Personally, I think that would have been an even bigger disaster. 😁

The only thing that really let me down was the final showdown. I was expecting something much better than that tired old cliché where the protagonist loses everything, only to pull off a last-second victory because the villain suddenly loses focus.

It isn't Rosaria. 🙂
What do you call a blood orange in one word? in Miscellaneous ·
When I was just a little kid, my mom used to call her this one specific name—just a single word, really—but now, honestly, nobody seems to have a clue what it was. I know, I know, it sounds incredibly silly, but it’s been weighing on my mind because absolutely no one, not even my own mother, can recall that one particular word anymore. 😁

Please, if anyone out there has a lead, help a guy out! 😁
Best protein powders for muscle gain? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
Jonathan Miller7 said:Whey - You take it within 45 minutes of finishing your workout, meaning basically right away once you're done. And you drink it strictly after training—only then—mixed with water, not milk. Honestly, I have to wonder how many times we've already covered this exact topic?

But why skip the milk if the label says it's an option and would actually bump up the calorie count?

Alex Long8 said:It feels a little weird to me how you're hesitating—like, choosing between Optimum Nutrition supplements or just some random whey.

First off, let's clear things up: those first two options are gainers, right? And the third one is just any whey protein or what? Give me a link.

The indecision between a gainer and whey strikes me as odd because they are two completely different beasts. You really have to decide if you want a gainer or whey first, and then you can start agonizing over which specific brand of that category you want.

I don't know how much you know about supplements... I mean, look, I'm no expert or anything, but I'll try to break it down... Gainers are tricky because they are loaded with carbohydrates. You'll definitely put on weight fast, but the question is how much of that is actually muscle mass, you know? Because it's basically what people call "pure sugar"... whereas with whey, it's mostly, like, over 80% pure protein with just a few carbs + some versions even have extra BCAAs and glutamine added in. There's tons of info on that online, go read up on it; those stuff are super important for muscle growth... Not to ramble too much, but here's my takeaway: if you want to bulk up as quickly and heavily as possible and you don't care how much of it is muscle, grab a gainer. But if you want to build quality muscle mass, definitely go with whey.

As for advice on whey, I personally take Gold Standard Whey from the NBA. Regarding the price, they aren't too expensive compared to others, like MuscleTech or Optimum, and they are great. They even have bulk sizes that cost around $35 or so. It's worth noting they don't contain aspartame, which is definitely bad for you. The flavor isn't bad, the solubility in water is excellent—none of that foam you have to wait 10 minutes for to settle like with some other proteins—and they have added BCAAs and glutamine. If I were to pick them and wanted to wait about a month before buying, I'd probably order with a group of guys from another forum because we might get a 10% to 20% discount depending on how much we buy together. It's worth mentioning you often get a little gift when you spend big money; sometimes a T-shirt, sometimes someone gets a pound of glutamine, seriously... I'm telling you, they are awesome, just check out the bodybuilding forums under NBA supplements and you'll see everyone raving about them.

I've started hitting the gym again after a year-long break, aiming to bulk up in a steady, controlled way. But I'm having trouble eating as much food as I used to, so I started thinking about protein supplements. This Gold Standard Whey looks good to me, but I'm not sure if I should use it every single day or just on training days. I only make it to the gym twice a week since I'm a high school senior dealing with final exams right now, so I'm wondering if I should drink this shake every day regardless of whether I worked out or not. Can you explain a bit? 🙂

And how effective is it actually for gaining weight? If that can be explained somehow. 😁
Stuffy nose - help! in Health ·
Karen Gonzalez said:If you can manage with just a single drop, then hey, lucky you! I didn't have that luxury—I basically dunked my entire nose into a mug of water and just inhaled everything at once. 😁

Honestly, I feel like this much more aggressive method of just snorting it up directly is actually more effective, so I think I’ll stick to that approach. 😬

Karen Gonzalez said:Just mix a little salt into a small cup of water—and then you just snort it all up. It stings a bit, but that’s how you know it’s working; it's an old Chinese remedy.😁 Alternatively, you could grab some marshmallow root (you can find it at a pharmacy, though I think they carry it at Walmart too), soak it in a bit of water for a few hours, and then use that as nasal drops.

Wait, how? 😁 Am I supposed to use a straw or something, or should I just use a dropper? Like, what's the actual process here? 😁

Does anyone have any good home remedies for clearing out a stuffy nose? I really need to be able to blow my nose properly without feeling like I'm just pushing more gunk around. 😢
What have we learned from movies? in Movies ·
Whenever you're being hunted by some psycho (especially in those horror movies), and your grand master plan is to bolt for the car or scramble inside to lock the front door, just be ready for your keys to absolutely vanish into thin air!!
😂

But honestly, it’s like everyone in these films is a total disaster... they never just have one set of keys, no, they somehow carry a massive mountain of them, acting like they own half of Chicago or something. 😁

I’ve always had a soft spot for his classics—especially Rocky, and of course, Rambo.

It’s honestly hilarious whenever my buddies ask me what I’ve been listening to lately, and I tell them Dire Straits, only to be met with those blank stares because nobody actually knows who they are—well, except for a tiny handful of us...

Well, I haven't quite reached that level of spiritual connection yet, 😁

I just have a handful of absolute favorites—things like 👍Sultans of Swing👍, 👍Money for Nothing👍, Walk of Life, Solid Rock, Lady Writer, and Tunnel of Love... though honestly, nothing beats the live versions.

Honestly, I just live for their music
it’s like it’s permanently stuck on loop in my head, and there's this constant little voice whispering to me that I absolutely have to go listen to this one track or that other one...

Any fans of theirs hanging out here?
Honestly, they’re my absolute favorite band—easily the best I’ve ever heard... PERIOD... I was actually over the moon when this guy I met in Chicago sent me a box set of all their albums on DVD...
I'd love to hear what you all think...
