Mike Tyson vs. a Great White Shark in Martial Arts & Combat Sports ·
Douglas Gray8 said:A gorilla doesn't have feelings? To a gorilla, Mike's fist is basically a pillow, so just think about it...

You seriously think you can clock a gorilla in the head and it won't feel a thing??? Give me a break... Gorillas are living creatures just like everything else; they feel pain and they can definitely get knocked out by a hit to the head. And if you actually believe a gorilla has no feelings—go ahead and ask a zookeeper at the local Zoo to let you hang out with a silverback for $33, then try to "poke him in the ass with a stick." You'll find out real quick if he has feelings or not... just don't come crying to me when he gets "really" pissed off....☕hahahaha😁--- Plus, they’ve got plenty of feelings—like when they step on a thorn, limp around, and wail like a little kid. When you help them pull it out, they'll cry tears of gratitude and remember you for the rest of their lives.☕

😁Man, those gorillas really thought they were something special... no wonder Mike wanted to lay one out. Maybe he was drunk, or maybe back then he actually believed he could take down a gorilla—the media and the whole hype machine turned him into some kind of superhero.🙏
He was probably just trying to act tough in front of a girl—back when he was hitting on Robin Givens... though it would’ve been wild to see if a gorilla could even stay on its feet against prime Tyson's peek-a-boo style.😁....hmm, a Shark wouldn't want any part of that, since they have sensitive noses and once you clip them, they usually check out (or so I heard)—anyway, how much power does it actually take to KO a gorilla? No clue... and Mike was right on the edge of solving that mystery...🤷 😬
Laptop won't turn off or turn on—any fixes? in IT Support ·
It makes zero sense—I can’t turn it on, but I can't turn it off either. If you can't shut it down, it clearly means it's running. So, yeah, it's definitely on. Hahaha-kad you start drinking, you gotta watch yourself.
Honestly, just drink straight from the bottle if you're working on a laptop... If it's just the keyboard acting up, who cares? Unless you're rocking some high-end flagship—those older models are dirt cheap on eBay. Just tell us which laptop model you're actually using so someone can actually help you... otherwise, if you're totally stuck, just plug an external keyboard into a desktop via USB and call it a day. Peace!😛😉☕

Benjamin Brooks2 said:Who knows? Maybe he knows German and doesn't realize what "First boot device" actually means. That caught my eye too—that "press any key for..." prompt. You aren't supposed to touch anything! Just sit there and wait a few seconds.

I know, I know, but nothing was working... anyway, I finally managed to get Windows 7 64-bit installed today and everything went smooth. It’s running a little sluggish right now, but I still need to load all the drivers, then it should be solid. I had to shrink my 500 GB partition down to 400 GB just to cram the OS into the new space. Hopefully, whatever junk was left on that remaining 100 GB didn't cause issues...
Thanks everyone, stay safe out there. Now I’m gonna go upgrade the system with drivers, apps, and all that good stuff... Man, it feels like a massive weight has been lifted off my shoulders. This constant headache with OS installations can seriously drive a person insane. Honestly, I feel like a new man.😛🙏

Thanks for the help, guys. I think I’m gonna have to give that Ubuntu live CD a shot, but how do I actually install it? Just grab it online from my Downloads folder and burn it to a CD?
And can I just boot from a thumb drive if I clear out an old USB stick, set it as the first boot device in the BIOS, and run it from there??? Honestly, I’m lost.
I already tried installing Windows 7 and was just supposed to grab some drivers, but being the idiot I am, I found a DVD with 8.1 and totally trashed everything. I’ll play around with it a bit more, but man, I’m right on the edge here—between this whole mess, literal earthquakes, and these damn pigeons that won't leave me alone. They've been cooing and clattering away since sunrise because they want the cash to build a nest right on my window—non-stop bringing in "building materials"—branches and all. I throw them off, try to scare them away, but it's useless. Pigeons are hands down the most stubborn, annoying creatures on the planet.
I actually feel bad for them; I’d let them build the damn nest if I could, but my feather allergy is killer and they’ll just make a massive mess. They've got 11,190 other spots to pick, but no—they have to pick right in front of my face. Add all this other crap on top of that, and how are you supposed to stay sane???
Anyway, thanks boys. I'm gonna try to get this sorted again—thinking I'll stick with Windows 7, since if it worked once, maybe it'll work again... Cheers and thanks again.👍🙂

Hey everyone. I could really use some help here—I’ve got this old Dell Latitude laptop that was running fine on Windows 8 and Windows 10, but then out of nowhere, it just turned into a total snail. I decided to toss in another gig of RAM, so I'm sitting at 3GB now, powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz. So, here's the deal: I try installing 64-bit Windows 7, and everything goes smoothly. But then, because why not, I get a sudden urge to try Windows 8.1. That’s when things go south. Everything feels smooth enough while it's moving, but once it hits "Finalizing your setup"... nothing. It just hangs there forever. Seriously, I sat there all night waiting for it to finish, and absolutely nothing happened. Zip. Nada. Then I figured, fine, let's just go back to basics and install a standard 64-bit Windows XP Professional SP3. The installation actually works and writes to the disk, but then we hit the same wall. Black screen, followed immediately by that "press any key to boot from..." prompt. It just refuses to actually finish the setup. I did pick up a used 500GB HDD recently. Maybe it was wiped via the BIOS or something? I remember reading somewhere that I might need to disable a specific setting in the BIOS regarding SATA drives, but I have no clue which one. Does anyone know how to actually get an OS to stick on this thing? I've got Windows 8, 8.1, 7, 10, and XP ready to go. Honestly, I'd settle for just getting XP working, but if it won't finish the install, what am I supposed to do? Any help would be huge. Thanks in advance!

Honestly, you can never have too much of Ali’s legendary trash talk...

I don't really have anything to say about this video, but Ali always has some kind of take on that showdown with Joe Frazier right before the 1971 fight.☕

Time to dig through some Cassius Clay musical gems—here’s the breakdown:

1.

I am the greatest

2.

A.L.I.

This is probably the best recording of Ali's "Shuffle" special. Seriously, who would've thought this legend could dance like that in those shoes? Some people might say, "Oh, easy to move when you're wearing slippery kicks," right? But hey, he did the exact same thing in the ring wearing sneakers.

He once gave a lecture to students at Harvard University and, naturally, he absolutely crushed it with big laughs and huge applause.

2.BUT WAIT, JOE FRAZIER TRASH TALKS TOO

nimblemoose2 said:Look, I don't give a damn about his show, how good of a fighter he was, or the fact that someone tried to ship him off to Vietnam. The guy was trash and he insulted Frazier because he hated him until the day he died.
Calling a man "Uncle Tom," threatening his life, calling him a gorilla, saying he looks like a monkey, or claiming he isn't a "real Black man"—that kind of nonsense is basically fascism to me. It’s just like when some extremist in Mexico tells you you're a traitor to your people or some NATO mercenary or whatever bullshit. He also talked so much crap about Foreman in Zaire that I think he almost got the guy slaughtered by the crowd because of all the hate-hype he built up.
And seriously, stop with the stupid comparisons to Floyd. They aren't even in the same generation, so what? What does Floyd need to prove to anyone? His record is better than Ali's, he's got money for days, he took fewer hits, and frankly, who cares about your comparisons or the fact that he doesn't drive his kids to school himself because he has ten bodyguards?
Give me a break. If a guy is worth nearly a billion dollars, of course he’s going to have bodyguards for his kids. There's always a risk of kidnapping, extortion, or just some psycho out there who hates him and wants to cause trouble.
☕

To answer this regarding Muhammad Ali, Floyd isn't even relevant here.☕
It was actually the term "Uncle Tom," not "Uncle Sam," but whatever...
Basically, it was all part of the psychological warfare, and the key player here was Earnie Terrell. They were buddies back in the early '60s and roommates at a Black hotel, but the day came when they had to step into the ring because Terrell was next up. It all kicked off when Earnie started messing with him, constantly calling him Cassius Clay, even though the guy had changed his name to Muhammad Ali. So Ali asked him: "Why do you keep calling me Cassius Clay?" He told him, "Because that's your name." Then Ali shot back, "Fine, then I'll call you 'Uncle Tom'." And that's where this whole "Uncle Tom" mess started—but the media twisted the whole thing. The fight was brutal on Ali's end because he wanted to punish the guy for the constant disrespect, and he did exactly that. After every combo, he'd ask: "What's my name?" Then—bam!—another hit, then again, and again. By the end, Terrell looked like he'd been through a cement mixer. They eventually made up and became friends again, but Terrell definitely never forgot those beatings...

As for the term "Uncle Tom"—Floyd Patterson was actually honored by that name once, and here Ali is explaining what it really means. Man, people were constantly messing with him, calling him Clay, for a long time. When he finally came back after being banned for almost four years, Oscar Bonaven really went overboard with the jokes, and Ali just straight-up handled anyone who disrespected him in the ring. He wasn't even trying to knock them out initially; he just wanted them to pay for the insults. Then, in the 15th round, he knocked Bonaven out. Later, in another fight, he had to lay the smackdown on Quarry, who also couldn't stop running "Clay" through his mouth. He didn't leave him hanging for long, though—he gave him a real thrashing. And then finally, that legendary first showdown with Frazier rolled around... I honestly don't know how many times Joe actually yelled "Clay," but it had to be more than once, even against Joe, he didn't have that raw hatred or that desperate need for revenge you see in guys who were getting screwed over way harder by everything else going on back then, like the whole Vietnam mess and all that chaos...

Floyd's favorite way to "entertain" the crowd is basically bathing in piles of cash. And now, for the Christmas party, he’s out here flaunting gifts under his tree—Rolls Royces, Bentleys, and Mercedes cars all decked out with gold bows. It’s like he’s sending a message to the fans: "Screw you, you little nobodies." While everyone else is digging through trash cans just to survive, he's acting like he has too much money and bought these cars just to rub it in. He's basically trying to ruin Christmas for anyone who can't even afford a single "Animal Kingdom" chocolate bar to put under their tree.☕
Let's be real, though—we can't exactly call him evil. He earned every cent by taking advantage of that kid.
He’ll probably find more guys like that soon enough. He’s been spotted hanging around carnivals in The Bronx, asking if there's anyone "tough enough" to beat him senseless, and he's more than willing to pay handsomely for the privilege.☕

If you don't find this guy absolutely repulsive, then you're... well, something else. I mean, would Muhammad Ali ever stoop to posing for photos and cashing in on some pathetic loser like this?
The guy's a total coward—and yeah, he is. Honestly, he should just stay out of the spotlight entirely, but he doesn't have an ounce of shame or dignity. And that's supposed to be your idol?🤦

nimblemoose2 said:Of course Ali didn't have issues with Frazier, but Frazier definitely had issues with Ali. Frazier was a class act who treated everyone with respect, unlike Ali, who was basically a total jerk.

Whoa, let’s not get carried away here—Ali was just playing the game to hype up the fight. Someone had to set the stage, right? According to his trainer Dundee, Ali loved messing with opponents both inside and outside the ring, but it was all for the fans, not because he actually hated anyone. If Floyd cared about the crowd even half as much as he does, maybe he’d put in some effort, but the guy only cares about the paycheck. That selfishness is exactly why he'll never be etched in boxing history quite like Muhammad Ali. And don't forget, Ali was stripped of his title for almost four years right when he was at his absolute peak. Sending a champion like that to fight in Vietnam on the other side of the world? Honestly, you have to be crazy to think that wasn't just some massive racial-political power play. Out of all those top-tier fighters, who else was a reigning undisputed heavyweight champ at nearly 30 years old and got drafted to go fight in Vietnam? He was worth way more to America as an athlete than as some guy holding a rifle in the jungle. You can find millions of guys to crawl through the mud in Vietnam, but you only get one legend like him. It's honestly laughable... actually, no, it's just pathetic.☕😁🤦

nimblemoose2 said:He was a total jerk to me. All that talk about how Joe Frazier was just Uncle Sam's puppet or whatever... honestly, those guys who could've actually put his life on the line back then? Disgusting. As a person, he was just a scumbag.

Look, sure, he knew how to push buttons, but he never had issues with Joe, nor did he have them with Cooper, even if things got heated before the fights. And get this—even George Foreman, who should've hated Ali the most, once said maybe Joe Louis was the best boxer, but Muhammad Ali was the greatest man in boxing history. Check out this YouTube video

In the clip, you can clearly see that before they left the waiting room, the legendary Paul McCartney from The Beatles was sitting there waiting with him. Who knows what they were talking about—music or boxing?

Let’s be real, there’s just no entertainer in boxing history quite like Ali.
Just a quick little reminder of some of his legendary antics. Honestly, nobody can ever knock him off that number one spot because the guy was bigger than the sport itself. You aren't born like that.
Sadly, too. Look, Floyd is a master at what he does, but boxing isn't just about what happens inside the ring—it's not just about fighting. Boxing is life. Ali spent his entire existence fighting against something. In the end, he was even fighting Parkinson's. But his spirit stayed bright and playful until the very end. Even when he couldn't speak anymore, I bet he was sitting there thinking about how he could snatch that talk show host's wig right off their head live on camera.☕😁

I stumbled upon this absolute gem by total accident... New York City... the show "Live with Kelly and Mark"... a massive surprise for Muhammad Ali... he had zero clue what was coming his way... back in 1978...
It’s just like someone else said—it's basically a living wake... incredibly well done... you can actually see those first signs of Parkinson's creeping in, even though he was still active and holding onto that world champion title... it’s just one surprise after another—mom, dad, his brother, all these people from Ali's life suddenly appearing in some theater where he's been brought in as part of the prank... man, it's fantastic. I watched the whole thing... Ali's mom isn't Black... And Henry Cooper—if you don't know who he is, go watch two of Ali's fights against him on YouTube first. The guy actually managed to knock Ali down, which is no small feat... anyway, they just keep bringing out all the key figures from Ali's life to catch him off guard... then comes the presentation of the "Live with Kelly and Mark" book...👍☕😁

"Live with Kelly and Mark" Muhammad Ali 19.12.1978.

You can read a bit more about that episode on this page, so if you turn on the "subtitles"—it's top-tier stuff...

That 1971 TV special. Ali vs. Frazier—hands down one of the most impactful pieces of combat sports media ever made.
What these two legends gave to the world of boxing is honestly hard to put into words... You see modern fighters trying to mimic their energy today, but you can tell right away that this was the real deal. It wasn't some manufactured imitation of someone else’s greatness.
You have to be a true creator, not just someone playing a part.☕🙏
