I mean, it's about time we admit that November 21st is the real date.
😉
😉
Alright, so, here we go.

So, did anyone catch the Simpsons the other night?

Same here. He laid it all out there—super direct. I guess everything should be crystal clear to everyone now.
As far as I'm concerned, it is.

Honestly, I can't even agree with myself half the time.😲

What do you mean "chat"? This is a constructive discussion.
Besides, you’re probably gonna have a hard time finding anyone interested in moving to New York City when it's basically a given that Arcade Fire is coming our way.
🙄
Look, if my tax refund actually hits, I'm in. Though, honestly, I'm guessing it's not happening, but hey, we'll see...

And you guys didn't believe me. 😳
😬
My bad, I didn't mean to get anyone's hopes up—but I just checked the tour schedule, and their last US leg isn't until February after they wrap up in Europe this November.
A little pre-Christmas Spider-Man show would honestly hit the spot right about now.
Yeah, okay, maybe the tickets are pricey, but I bet the venue would be totally packed even if they were $180 a pop.
Matt?
That doesn't mean you guys can't make it out to New York City, though. Actually, you definitely should.
Safe travels and have a blast.

Nah.
Just talking nonsense, sorry.

Basically rural, like some tiny town in the middle of nowhere. ☕
If you catch the bus right away, I used to get from my place in the suburbs over to the marshlands in under 15 minutes. Like, from the second I stepped out the front door.
I guess Samuel Murphy6 might actually have a point here—we should probably be looking at the best overall options—but I’m kind of with Ante too. Personally, I think Martinovka is pretty decent. I could totally see myself living there.
😳
I mean, maybe Bob Dylan will finally make it out to Washington, D.C. 😉
I was actually kind of surprised by how decent the organization was. The only thing they seemed to forget is that human beings occasionally need to pee and take a dump, and usually, people prefer to do that in designated spots.
The undercover cops were honestly hilarious. Watching them nodding along during Kraftwerk while keeping a side-eye on anyone lighting up a smoke was pretty funny. The guys in uniform, though? Not so much.
Lily Allen was just... meh. You go in expecting some catchy pop fun, but instead, you get this frustrated, pretentious British post-adolescent who seriously thinks she's dropping truth bombs when she says everything's fine as long as you're losing weight. And man, the amount of obnoxious drunk fifteen-year-olds was unbearable—just screaming names at each other like 'AAAAA, Baaaarbaaararaa, you're heeeeere!' I swear, security had to tell them several times that the concert is happening in front of them, not behind them. They were basically nesting the whole time until someone finally snapped with a super tense, 'One more move like that and you're dead!'
😬
Kraftwerk wasn't really my vibe, to be honest. It’s all that dehumanization stuff. It's fun, sure, but also kinda creepy.
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs were the highlight of the night. They lived up to the hype, even if they played a little shorter than I wanted. I was hoping for maybe two or three more songs. Also, it blows my mind how crowds lose their damn minds over confetti. It's just confetti. Whatever.
Franz Ferdinand actually sounded better than the first time I saw them. Mr. Wrong nailed it. Just a solid, really good pop band. I was actually surprised by how aware they were of the space and the moment—they really knew how to play the room.
All in all, day one gets a ***1/2, which is actually a pretty great score.
That's about it.

Are you kidding me? Sinead O'Connor is playing the exact same day as the first day of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Jesus, I just stumbled onto this whole thing about the wind from the soul, for real though. Pretty sure some guy named Lapaine wrote it.
You’d actually have to meet the man to believe him. He lives it. No, seriously—I’m not even kidding. HE LIVES IT!
