I just had my tympanometry done, and honestly, everything turned out fine. Nothing to worry about. As for the laryngoscopy... I’m pretty sure they just use local anesthesia—like, they spray your throat to numb it. Just a heads-up: don't eat anything right before you go in, because you won't be able to control your swallowing reflex properly. You should be okay to grab a drink about 4 or 5 hours after the exam is over.

Honestly, forget cleaning it—just start growing cabbage in your ears instead!😁 😁 😁
