Sean Grant85 said:Help me out here—can someone let me in on the secret? The clerk told me there’s a way to get reimbursed by insurance later, but she didn't explain how. All I was told was that I have to file the claim myself.

Aha! It just clicked. I think the coverage for these kinds of things is mostly for kids under 18. If you have a minor in the family, have them see their pediatrician to get a referral for Orthopedics. Then, take that referral to the specialist and ask them to issue the device under that person's name. Once you're done, just head to the social services office with that person's insurance card to get it approved. That's really it. I actually did this myself to get some orthopedic inserts—I used my younger brother's referral and it went through without any issues at all. Give it a shot.😉

Sean Grant85 said:What? They’re actually claiming that the Sancov collar isn't covered by insurance? Give me a break. I just found one guy who... $27 Over on Fifth Avenue near the Orthopedics clinic—finally getting something done. At least it’s a start.

I honestly can’t believe you didn't take that personally—it's wild. Seriously.

Sean Grant85 said:I mean, for example—someone told me a BlackRock collar goes for maybe 50-$20, but if you walk into a store, they're charging over $33. That’s just how it is.

So, did you get yours through a fund?

Sandra Wells67 said:The pain isn't even that bad—to be honest, I'm actually a little embarrassed to bring it up with my doctor. I don't want her thinking I'm just some woman looking for a payout or trying to fake an injury I can't even claim since I didn't rush to the ER right after the accident or put on some big dramatic performance with bandages and everything. It’s not about that, though. I'm just worried because my hips feel really stiff.

At the end of the day, you only get one body, and doctors are literally there to help you. It's totally up to you how you handle it.😉

It really depends on which strain of Escherichia coli we're talking about. Was it being treated with methicillin?

Anonymous said:That is just not true!!! I know firsthand. I’m actually really talented; back in fifth grade, I was already playing Paganini's 24th Caprice. And honestly, talented people practice a ton. Don't get me wrong, I hate practicing scales and all that technical stuff—it's boring. Nobody actually *wants* to do that. But those talented people who skip out on the work? They're the exception, not the rule. It's like they say: talent is only 1% of the equation; everything else is just pure grit and practice (and no, you don't have to grind from dawn till dusk)

Yeah, right. And you know how many of them actually bother showing up to music school instead of just blowing smoke up their own egos?! Even if they do show up... they won't touch a practice room. Nothing comes from those guys.

Watch out for this nasty weather—try to get some rest, use a heating pad, and keep slathering on that Voltaren gel.

Jamie Johnson6 said:She's saying they actually did diagnose her with RA—apparently because of some elevated factor she has. I don't really know much about the specifics, but I guess it's something used to confirm the diagnosis, from what I can gather.

That’s just the rheumatoid factor—it's basically the main diagnostic marker for RA. It shows up in the blood serum of people with RA, though you might see it in other inflammatory joint issues too, mostly in older folks.

Bilirubin levels in Health ·
Linda Gonzalez16 said:I'm guessing the thought was that you can use phenobarbital to treat—or rather, bypass—those super specific genetic glitches in how the body handles bilirubin. Basically, you're trying to kickstart the metabolic pathways to process it wherever possible.
But honestly, those kinds of issues are just a tiny slice of the whole pie when it comes to why someone might end up with high bilirubin levels in their blood.

Gotcha.🙂

Christian Lee13 said:They didn't really give you any groundbreaking insight there, they just pointed out that it’s basically the only school in the US where you can sit for those private certification exams 😁 . And honestly, that's their whole racket... they make a killing off it
.

And just for the record, they aren't the only ones offering private exams. If anyone actually cares, you can head over to the Joseph Hatze music school in San Francisco. You can take certain exams $83. If that's your thing, go for it!

Which painkiller should I use? in Health ·
Sam Hall15 said:Look, I couldn't disagree more—it's definitely not useless. I've actually prescribed it to patients dealing with all sorts of painful syndromes, and it really helped. Honestly, it’s been useful for conditions that are way more intense than just post-op recovery from a tonsillectomy...

And I've seen them handing it out like candy at the ENT clinics!!!😁 😁 😁
