Which painkiller should I use? in Health ·
Sam Hall15 said:I honestly don't think you need Tramal after tonsil surgery... how old are you? That Voltaren dose is basically for kids—if you're over 15, just take 50 mg three times a day for a few days until the pain settles down. Don't go over five doses, though, and I doubt you'll even need more than that.

How can you not see she's in massive pain? And calling Voltaren useless? Seriously—that stuff didn't do a thing for me when I was dealing with a nasty middle ear infection!

You can get it through that specialty pharmacy near Pike Place Market. It’ll run you about 10 bucks for 30 packets. Honestly, two packets should carry you through the whole day. Also, a friend of mine used Lupocet syrup after her tonsillectomy—it basically numbed her throat right up.

Man, I swear, this place is starting to feel like a freaking drug den!😁

Anyone ever heard that line—"Can we please just have the male choir and the tenors sing now"?
😁

Ugh, tell me about it! I know it well!😁

silentnomad23 said:I haven't—the doctors over at the Mayo Clinic told me my nerves are actually fine. Apparently, it’s just some partial stiffness in one of the vocal cords. My voice sounds totally normal most of the time (though not always), but then it gets hoarse—which actually proves the recurrent nerve isn't damaged. If it were, my voice would sound the exact same way all the time, just constantly raspy.

Super confusing.🙄

Honestly, just go with any other NSAID since they actually tackle the inflammation—which helps with both the swelling and the pain (like try Ketoral, Ibuprofen, or Naproxen).
Just whatever you do, don't mix those meds together—they can cause some serious bleeding, especially after something like a tonsillectomy.

Look, taking Tramal in small doses isn't going to make you addicted, especially if you're only on it for a short stint.

Tramal. But you’re gonna need a prescription for that.

If you don't get that foundation of love from your family growing up—I mean, if it's just not there—don't hold your breath expecting someone else to just swoop in and fix it for you. In most cases, that's just how life works.

Roger Gonzalez46 said:I used to know some singers who would walk around wearing scarves in the middle of a sweltering summer. Not only did they look sick—they actually felt chronically ill, and honestly, they sounded it too. They’d blame everything from a lack of vocal skill to a simple lack of confidence on having a "cold," which eventually spiraled into this full-blown, chronic hypochondriac psychosis.!"

😂 😂 👍 This is the absolute truth!!!

Did you end up seeing a neurologist?

Hey there. They were asking if you wanted to order those contacts.
Angela Wright said:The staff at the clinic told me I had to wait until my period was over😕—honestly, I don't get it. Why can't they just grow the culture? What does blood have to do with anything?

Because it could trigger a false positive for hematuria—basically, it makes it look like there's blood in your urine when there isn't.

Yeah, maybe....😁
Why didn't he just tell the doctor he works at the zoo? Gosh, that's such a massive detail for a medical history!

I’m basically a cat... total lack of lactase. Ugh! Drinking milk on an empty stomach gives me some seriously rough problems.😠

Harold Anderson3 said:I think most of my struggle is actually captured right there in the title, but let me try to unpack things a bit more clearly for you all.
Ever since my parents split up—which was when I was just three—it’s mostly been just me and my dad, with weekends spent at my mom's place. He was always such an emotionally distant guy; honestly, I don't even recall us having actual conversations when I was growing up. Then, when I was six, he remarried, and I ended up spending almost all my time with his new wife, who was even colder and much stricter than he was. Growing up in that kind of environment really took its toll on me, especially since I was such a sensitive kid—probably way too soft for my own good, if I'm being honest.
Now, you might be wondering why I didn't grow up with my mother. Well, she has a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia, and because of that medical reality, the court decided it was best for me to live with my father. Because of that forced, rigid discipline, I actually did pretty well in school, but looking back, what does academic success even matter when you end up feeling like everything is falling apart?
When I turned 17, these mental health struggles started creeping in, eventually spiraling into depression. My doctor and I have talked it through, and we both feel like the root cause traces back to that total lack of affection during my childhood. So, how do I fix this? How do I make up for lost time? I'm only 19, and I feel like I'm already starting from behind.

You just learn how to live with it.😎

Hey everyone... go ahead, keep staring at your own navels and meditating on how brilliant you think you are. 😬

What’s even the point of these cheap shots? "What team?" Seriously, Doro—man, what were you on when you wrote this?

cosmicpuma15 said:Haha, total trick question... I mean, just by posting here, a person is basically admitting they think they're smart. So, if nothing else, it definitely leans toward vanity, doesn't it?

And then there are the people who actually stay on topic...😁

Has anyone here tried it? I'd love some feedback.

It works wonders for throat inflammation.
