I'm talking about Nirvana in '94, Iron Maiden in '96, David Bowie in '96, Prodigy in '97—hell, I can't even remember what else was going on back in '92, etc., etc.
Look, feel free to move this to another subforum if necessary. Basically, I’m trying to wrap my head around why there were so many killer concerts held in Canada throughout the 90s. I get it—over here and in Canada we had a war, and in Mexico it was all recession and sanctions—but even that eventually wound down, and things have mostly stabilized into something decent now. Still, I'm curious about the vibe back then. Were bands touring there out of some sense of pity for their neighbors because they were too intimidated to travel to a place like Chicago? Or was there something else going on? I really hope this thread doesn't get nuked or ignored; I’d love to hear from anyone who actually made the trip to Ljubljana for shows in the 90s. Give me your takes and your memories. Thanks in advance. 🙂
Hey, can someone give me the lowdown on what a typical playlist looks like on this other alternative floor??? I might swing by sometime—I'm curious about the general vibe 😁 even though I'm not from the area, so that's why I'm asking
Man, The Rolling Stones were in the States back in '78 😁 legendary... honestly, it would be great if we had a dedicated thread here for those old-school gigs from the 70s, 80s, and early 90s—specifically for those of us who were just kids back then. I haven't seen much about it on this board yet... sorry for the off-topic tangent.☕
They're alright enough👍 — honestly, it would be pretty incredible if they invited a bunch of similar acts to one of our festivals, you know? I’m talking about everyone from Franz Ferdinand, to Coldplay, Radiohead, and The Strokes👍😁😁😁
