Metallica kicks things off this fall celebrating their 35th anniversary with a new tour—if they haven't run out of steam by then, maybe we'll see a solo stadium show within the year.
Kimberly Sullivan38 said:Rock am Ring was hands down the best time I've EVER had! And yeah, Billy Idol played this year too. Honestly—Coachella can't even touch them when it comes to organization or the lineup. But hey, I'll still be there... 😁
Look, I know 😁 is right—I've been watching that festival on TV for ages, and in my book, it’s easily the best one in all of 👍 Europe.
Honestly? Just go screw yourselves with all these demands and "must-have" lineups. If you've got the cash to burn, go hit up Lollapalooza or wherever else. This is a midweek festival meant for the locals here in Washington, D.C. and the surrounding areas—not some massive production out in the middle of nowhere designed to attract crowds from Germany or Italy for a big weekend. We aren't exactly a global hub like that, so we can't just conjure up whatever headliners you're dreaming about... clearly, people forget where we actually live.
So... RATM supposedly promised a free show to their American fans to say thanks for that Christmas issue #1—but that concert hasn't actually happened yet. Meanwhile, I'm seeing them headlining Lollapalooza. There’s also some chatter that since Lollapalooza is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, they might add a fourth day just to have RATM headline. 😁

Look, if Flogging Molly and Rise are playing the same stage on the same day without being headliners, it’s common sense—one of those big three bands has to be the headliner for that stage that night.😁
hm,,Lollapalooza, which kicks off just two weeks after the T-Mobile Coachella festival, currently only has two confirmed acts—and I highly doubt they're even slated for the main stage. They promised to drop a massive chunk of the lineup by February 22nd... maybe those folks over at T-Mobile US will actually follow through this time. Who knows? We might see some of the same bands from Lollapalooza popping up at Coachella again this year like last year. 😁
mm-hmm—Prodigy, Massive Attack, Faithless, and skunk Anansie are officially confirmed for Hurricane and Coachella... And by the way: Megadeth are playing in Washington, D.C. on June 30th Edit: Stone Temple Pilots are also in the lineup, and they’ll announce that in a few days—probably at Coachella xD
Reviving this thread 😁 ,,but I have a question,,I heard some rumors about a festival back in Santa Monica in '95 where The Stranglers were supposedly on the lineup before the whole thing got scrapped,,also caught wind of something regarding R.E.M. in a similar US city that same year, but nothing ever materialized,,,does anyone actually remember any of this? 😁
