mellowtiger83 said:I'm reading reports suggesting tomorrow's race might be moved up by two hours if there's a legitimate threat from a typhoon, because if this storm hits in the afternoon, we can basically kiss the race goodbye; it would simply be too dangerous to proceed.🙂
So, there is a genuine possibility that the race could start two hours earlier, which would mean a 5:00 AM start for us here in the States...
We are all just waiting on the latest weather updates, though a final decision should hopefully be reached sometime during the morning over in the US or very early in the morning our time.

What exactly are we meant to discern when one begins to read between the lines? Is there perhaps a deeper subtext waiting to be uncovered, or are we simply searching for meaning where none was intended to exist?

rowdyrider12 said:What on earth happened to Lewis Hamilton? From what I could gather, he didn't even make it out toward the very end of Q3, right?
brighthound8 said:It wasn't half bad; my congratulations to Templar on the win, though they did warn us about a typhoon coming, yet I see the weather stayed quite dry.
If it wouldn't be too much trouble to post the plates and the car results, should I leave that to you, @graniteharbor502/">@@graniteharbor502, or would you prefer that I take care of it myself?
brighthound8 said:Wait just a moment, didn't you include my prediction when you were tallying everything up, graniteharbor502?

vividlynx68 said:Look, isn't this just pure speculation at this point? :slap:
Though, if they really did bring Kimi back, I can't see why they wouldn't consider bringing Button back as well.
vividlynx68 said:It is quite fascinating, isn't it, how everyone seems so quick to claim that Fernando is getting too old and that his clock is ticking down, yet they conveniently forget that, for instance, Alain Prost managed to secure two more championships after his 33rd birthday and even finished as runner-up in two subsequent seasons...
William Bennett53 said:I find myself wondering... is Jenson Button truly at the peak of his powers right now? To be honest, I highly doubt that Lewis Hamilton views him as any sort of threat on the track. While one might naturally expect a driver to prioritize defending their position against someone like Sebastian Vettel or Hamilton, I find it difficult to believe they would actually demand that Button be moved out of the way. However, that is a completely different matter entirely—whether McLaren genuinely intends to maintain two seasoned drivers well into their later years of competition. 🤷

McLaren seems like such an old-school outfit, the kind of team where you strictly designate a number one and a number two driver.
It feels like a certainty that wherever he lands, he will be demanding that top spot. It’s almost a given, isn't it?
Furthermore, doesn't Jenson Button seem to thrive only when the car is absolutely flawless, and we all know this new McLaren certainly won't be hitting those marks just yet? I can't help but feel he might be overpaid, and frankly, the whole situation just doesn't sit right with me.
Roger Wright94 said:But really, who would even bother going out there?
Would we see an overpriced Button or maybe just Mag?
Actually, wouldn't it be far superior to see both of them?
Timothy Castillo6 said:It seems like more and more media outlets over in America are starting to talk about the departure, and they have even begun to openly criticize Zalons, so I suppose we have finally arrived at this point...
