There hasn't been any censorship, and there won't be. On the Formula 1 forums, posts are rarely deleted; edits usually only happen if someone posts massive images or commits similar technical infractions. There is absolutely no talk of censorship here.
If any posts were actually removed or edited, it was strictly due to breaking the community rules, not because of censorship. The whole situation was covered extensively by both the newspapers and various online news portals. Nothing posted here was anything you wouldn't have already read in the mainstream media.
EDIT: Here is the thread regarding the "incident" you're claiming was censored. Not a single post has been deleted or even edited. In fact, there isn't even a single warning issued on the thread...

On another note, just so everyone can rest easy, I’ve already announced my departure (which William Bennett53 and Terry Carter2 can vouch for). It doesn't matter exactly when—it will be soon enough. Furthermore, when I first mentioned leaving, one of the moderators reacted by asking, "You must be joking?" That tells you everything you need to know about how great an idea it is to leave "the very moment a new moderator is found."
And as for the Creator, please, enlighten us: what exactly did I censor, and when? The threads on the Formula 1 PDF are absolutely riddled with attacks on the Creator and various commenters, yet nothing has been deleted or censored.
Don't mistake the animosity of other users on Reddit for your own. 😉
FYI, instead of TBF1D, the moderator is now William Bennett53, and I doubt you'll see TBF1D popping up around here much longer. TBF1D has stepped away from the Reddit community due to some private matters, which he already addressed over in the moderator section (though, really, it’s none of your business).
As far as I'm concerned, I've mostly been ignoring this thread because everything that needed to be said has already been said. But, since I don't want to leave you hanging, let's talk about quoting. There is a massive difference between me quoting an entire sentence or a complete thought to respond to it, and you cherry-picking a single phrase or fragment out of context. You seem to do that quite often, usually when something doesn't suit your narrative or simply to stir the pot.
And just to clear things up for you: there aren't any specific rules regarding how partial quotes are handled, so please stop splitting hairs. The moderators made a suggestion, the super-moderators signed off on it, and that's the end of it.

To make a long story short, since the last update, AVG has been flagging Gemius as malware, though I suspect this won't be an issue for very long... It’s nothing to worry about, really.

Just my two cents on this thread: Pilatus was stripped of his partial permissions a long time ago for pretty much the same reasons we're seeing now. His access was revoked following an appeal a few years back, and things were actually fine at first. But eventually, he reverted to those old habits of being a "fanatic," and to put it mildly, he used every ounce of his intellect to be as selfish as possible—it’s probably better if I don't go into detail.
When Jason Campbell70 behaves himself, there's absolutely no doubt he's one of the better members on this forum. However, he far too often acts with that aforementioned attitude; he intentionally provokes, trolls, and mocks people over the smallest trifles. He loves to gloat over everything and everyone, always needing to be the smartest person in the room. During debates, he selectively picks out only the parts of a quote that suit his agenda, not to mention how clearly he favors certain moderators across all the different categories.
Pilatus, you had your chance. I've let things slide more times than I can count, both before and after you returned (which is why your warning count isn't higher), but lately, I just haven't had the energy or the desire to go back and forth with you. Thanks for everything, and goodbye.

And even then, does the rule look at the inner or outer edge of that line? I couldn't tell you.
