In this breakneck world where everyone’s obsessed with dominance and cold hard cash, nobody has the patience for actual conversation anymore. Honestly, we don't even have the time. Everyone is constantly racing against a clock that isn't even there, which makes waiting feel absolutely agonizing. But that’s exactly the point of writing letters—it's all about the anticipation. Nowadays, you jump onto Facebook, Yahoo, or Google, and if you don't get a reply within five minutes, people start losing their minds. That's just how we've been wired. It’s the same deal with postcards—does anyone even bother sending them anymore? You just shoot off a text and call it a day. People have clearly lost all sense of what it means to wait—or maybe they've just forgotten how to value time itself.
