Drug promotion on the "Alternative" subforum in Feedback & Suggestions ·
boldjackal10 said:Do you honestly believe that someone is going to go out and actually take LSD just because they happened to stumble upon a thread about it?

By that logic, I could start a thread titled "Hitler: The Misunderstood Genius" or "Hitler: A Man Ahead of His Time" and ask if anyone truly believes people would start hating or attacking Jewish Americans simply because they read such a post...☕

The core issue here is consistency. If individual users are being slapped with warnings for minor infractions, then when things really escalate, it stands to reason that threads which directly violate not just the subforum rules or the site guidelines, but actual federal law, should be shut down immediately...☕

LSD

What’s the official stance on a thread that basically encourages and promotes drug use? ☕

The exact same topic has been sitting right here for an entire week now...☕

John Taylor31 said:Is it actually possible to network Windows 7 and Windows XP together?? I'm running into a bit of a snag because I can't seem to get the IP address I want; instead of the standard ICS setup using 192.168.0.1, it keeps forcing me over to 192.168.137.1.

Of course you can...☕

🙄 You really need to be running the x64 version if you want to actually make use of all 4 GB of RAM and anything beyond that...🤣

John Taylor31 said:Why does my system show only 3.25 GB out of 4 GB as usable? I was under the impression that the full 4 GB of RAM should be available for use.

Are you running an x86 or an x64 version of the operating system?

If we're looking at what's currently available, the latest build is 7048...☕

Kenneth Booth21 said:I'm running the complete 64-bit version of Windows 7—not some buggy beta release—and honestly, I haven't run into a single hiccup. Everything is performing beautifully, and you can pick up a retail copy right here in the States easily enough.

😂😂😂🤣

Come on, post a screenshot so we can actually see what this "full" version of Windows 7 looks like in action...😂🤣😍

Scott Wood84 said:Can someone please grab a screenshot of the latest beta build? Every single version I find online seems to be a completely different beast from what I'm expecting.😕

I’ve also been looking closely at the taskbar, and honestly, it feels like a step backward compared to how things were handled in Windows Vista...

Actually, I have to disagree there—it's easily ten times better than it was back in the Vista days...☕ Everything feels much more intuitively organized now, they've introduced some really solid new features, and even if it's just a minor point, the aesthetic is definitely an improvement over the old interface.☕

I was wondering if there are any substantial differences, significant performance boosts, or perhaps some entirely new features tucked away in version 7048 when compared to the 7000 series... to put it simply, would you say it’s actually worth the effort to go through with the installation of version 7048? ☕

and clearly doesn't view a PC as anything more than just a tool.🤣😂

Look, buddy, stay in your lane if you don't know what you're talking about... stop acting like such a jerk...☕

Jose Barrett said:First, everyone complains that Microsoft releases new Windows versions too frequently, and now you can't wait for this autumn to finally get the full version of Windows 7 🙄

If I were in his shoes, dealing with people like "you," I’d probably just release a brand-new version of Windows every single year and let you all deal with the headache of beta bugs, driver issues, compatibility nightmares, and all that other nonsense 👎

It seems like you don't have anything better to do than obsess over Windows 7 all day long 👎

😉

Come on now... seriously... go out and find a girlfriend so you won't be this bitter... ☕ Or maybe it's just because your PC
is way too underpowered to even run Windows 7??? 😬

ontopic

Why on earth should Windows 7 launch with DirectX 10, only to have DirectX 11 added later once the full version is actually released??? 😕

As for me, I am still hanging onto Build 7000...🙂 Is there any way to find a download for it somewhere online?😬

Noah Miller6 said:right now, they've made some slight improvements to the update support

I noticed there are versions for both Windows 7 Build 7032 and Windows 7 Build 7034 out there, but I can't seem to find a way to actually download either one... at least, I haven't had any luck tracking them down myself.☕ 🤷

http://news.softpedia.com/news/Leake...2-104197.shtml

By the way, has anyone had a chance to test if you can perform a standard upgrade from Build 7000 to build 7022 or even up to 7034? Or is it one of those situations where you're forced to go through a completely clean installation?

Christian Morris80 said:I've got Windows 7 build 7022 running through VMware, and I have to say, it’s performing quite impressively. All the software I've tested so far is running smoothly, and I haven't run into any significant hiccups yet.

Wait, isn't the latest one supposed to be Build 7000??? Or are we already looking at an RC1 version here??? 🤔 Are there any major shifts or noticeable improvements when you compare this to Build 7000?

Jacob Morales6 said:I'm thinking about installing Windows 7 on my laptop—specifically an HP 6735—and I was wondering which drivers I should be looking for regarding graphics, audio, and everything else?

You’ll essentially need every driver that is compatible with that specific version of Windows. For instance, when you get to the graphics side of things, your best bet is to head straight over to the NVIDIA or ATI websites to grab the most recent drivers available for Windows 7.☕

Mark Sanchez3 said:I just finished installing Windows 7 and I have to say, it feels absolutely incredible! However, I am a little bit puzzled by one thing: on my C drive, I see both the current Windows installation and a "Windows.old" folder left over from Vista. When I restart the computer, it doesn't even give me an option for a dual boot menu; it just breezes right past everything and boots straight into Windows. Is it actually possible to have a dual boot setup since both the current OS and that old folder exist?

Not exactly. The reason you’re seeing that extra folder is simply because you didn't wipe the partition before installing Windows 7...☕

Rebecca James65 said:quick question: how do I go about deleting my profile? I’d love to just start fresh with a new one, but honestly, I'm a bit out of my depth when it comes to this kind of technical stuff. 🙂

Oh, don't worry about that... once your profile is created, it’s basically etched into the digital fabric of eternity.☕

Honestly, I think Microsoft should just focus their energy on releasing Windows 7 x64 and call it a day. If they don't, we're going to end up with a massive crowd of users stuck on x32 systems, which will inevitably drag down the pace of development and make providing support for x64 architecture a total headache for everyone involved...☕
Windows 7 in Software ·
It seems we’ve hit the same wall again; just like Windows Vista, the 32-bit version of Windows 7 is still strictly capped at that 3.5 GB limit...🤔
