😍 🙏 🙏 🙏

Well,
I've always thought Human League's 'Human' was such a beautiful track! 😍
Maybe also Billy Joel's 'We Didn't Start the Fire' 🎉
And Billy Joel's 'Uptown Girl' 🙂

Take a look at what’s going on over in Mondo Bizarro! 😬
Well, looks like it’s a gorgeous sunny day for the real estate market—the rising tide might just lift all boats! 😍 😍 😍

"cabbies on crack" 😂
"strength to endure" 🤣
"anxiety" 😵

It feels like they just tossed everything else from the Post It's Alive discography straight into the recycling bin 😬 😈 😈 😈 😈 😈

That’s why I’m honestly convinced there isn't a single soul on this planet who actually enjoys The Matrix 😁

should probably be a little cautious.

Does anyone happen to know what the original version sounds like? 😬
dustyridge12 said:My brain isn't quite firing on all cylinders this morning... The only thing I can recall that feels underrated—without being a total obscurity—is the work of that American band Green Day.

And what about "see how we are (X)"?
stormyviper11 said:I honestly think English Settlement is such an incredible album. It really is! 🙂

Honestly, this one is in absolutely fantastic shape. I’d happily trade it for just about any punk record out there, provided it isn't Vibrators Quote. 😬
Douglas Taylor4 said:I’m totally with you on this one. "Mother"—man, what a track! And honestly, I don't think I could ever get tired of "Every Breath You Take," even after twenty years of hearing it. The Police are absolute legends. It makes me wonder, though—didn't Šarlo borrow a bit of that vibe from them? Maybe I'm just imagining things, but there's definitely a connection there!

Hmm, I didn't catch that with Šarlo, but I guess ruggedcrane22 definitely did... 😁

1. A song is never actually "too fast."
2. The bass is never "too loud."
3. Nothing is ever "too pop."

ruggedcrane22 said:When people chat about 80s synth-pop, everyone immediately starts raving about Depeche Mode, OMD, and those kinds of bands. But I think people often overlook the fact that Talk Talk was actually the absolute best synth-pop group out there. Tracks like "Such a Shame," "Dum Dum Girl," "Give It Up," and "Life's What You Make It" are easily some of the finest synth-pop singles ever released. Now, they eventually put out an album called "Spirit of Eden" that even their most die-hard fans seem to struggle with, but personally, I think it's quite good! At that point, they had moved away from synth-pop and into pure avant-garde territory. They actually recorded the whole thing in a church, and they brought in all sorts of guest musicians—everyone from free jazz players to someone like Nigel Kennedy.

I haven't actually sat down with "Spirit of Eden" yet, but their follow-up, "Laughing Stock," is an absolute masterpiece! 🙏
Though, I suppose that’s moving pretty far away from synth-pop, isn't it? Maybe we're talking post-rock now?
analogharbor442 said:XTC - English Settlement (everyone pretends to hate it, even though they know it's actually great)

That is so true. I'm swapping records if anyone is interested! 😁
Lonesome Hobo said:Čorba - Tonight You're Being Entertained by Drunken Musicians
The only Čorba album recorded for Columbia Records... definitely my absolute favorite!
I honestly don't get what anyone could possibly dislike about this record. Are people just indifferent to the raw emotion? What about Hodžaš? Or Žika živac?

👍
I’d probably throw in that one album by the band featuring Tif into the mix too!🙂
Douglas Taylor4 said:The Clash - Combat Rock

I'm totally on board with this
Dana Anderson4 said:The Clash - Sandinista (they really do have a massive fanbase!)
Pink Floyd - Animals
Led Zeppelin - Houses of the Holy

I guess I'll sign off on those too,
but I might add a few more to the list:
Elvis Costello - Spike
Elvis Costello - When I Was Cruel😍
New Bomb Turks - any of their later albums, I suppose
Public Image Ltd - their album
Sonic Youth - NYC Ghosts & Flowers
The Replacements - Pleased to Meet Me (definitely my favorite)
X - More Fun in the New World (also great)
Depeche Mode - Speak & Spell😁
Trans Am - TA
Hey, I think Larry Lalonde actually played in Possessed—total metalhead vibes! 😁
because I just love Slayer😍
I honestly can't stand him anymore 🙂
Oh, my bad! I totally forgot that people who aren't hardcore enough to rock Corpse merch shouldn't be allowed to shed a tear over Slayer 🙄

2. a Travis Bean bass
honestly, long live aluminum!
3. a Rickenbacker 4001 🙂
4. a Fender Jazz Bass
5. a Fender Mustang Bass
