It was like this sudden flash of clarity hit me, and I just gasped, "The Doors!" I really feel like, out of everything from that era, Emergency is the one album that most closely captures that raw, early sound of The Doors (even though, of course, you can definitely hear influences from bands like The Clash or The Police in there too).
Hehe, looks like you didn't quite manage it after all. I guess only a true expert knows how to really critique something properly. 😬
Honestly, I’m pretty happy with everything except for that Joe Strummer 999 emergency kit... I mean, even if most of the rest of it feels like total junk, that specific piece is 🙂

Yeah, honestly, if you and dmj were born around 1960, songs like "Valjak" or "Atomic Way" probably would have just gone straight to hell. It’s much like how maybe early The Beach Boys🙏 or early Red Hot Chili Peppers🙂 might have totally grated on my nerves if I had been a punk kid when they first blew up and hit the mainstream...
* - just in case being a cult icon isn't something you're born with

Well, I suppose that "true punk" probably loves those late-era Stiff Little Fingers tracks and thinks Buzzcocks' best album was T. T. T. back in the nineties. Go figure!🙂
Now, I don't want Banderas to come after me, but I'll say right now that I don't have anything against it.😁
I wouldn't say it was some massive cultural phenomenon, really. You guys were definitely a generation unto yourselves, but for us kids, it was honestly the ultimate soundtrack. Forget Big Black or Killdozer—it was all about STAKLA! 🙂
I might have an answer for you: just dive into Thin Lizzy since their whole vibe is pure rebellion, and I think I can hear some Bad Reputation in there too 👋
Here’s my take on some of our absolute best albums
10. Blue Öyster Rock - Soldier's Ball (that classic anthem for the ages) 9. Buldozer - Cheap Candy Store 8. Discipline - Green Tooth on Planet Boredom 9. White - Zlatan 6. Paraf - Flags 5. I mean, given how absolutely legendary albums like 'Bolivia R&B' and 'We're Only Here for the Money' are, I guess it's a bit surprising that you’d pick something as sterile as 'Megapunk' as your number one choice? 😕
Yeah, that’s a pretty strange choice, isn't it? I mean, there isn't even any heavy metal or sex involved...
