I mean, I already cleared that up myself, so whoever you're seeing on your fax machine is definitely someone else entirely.

And honestly? It’s pretty obvious she couldn't care less.

invited to the negotiating table.

Okay, so I totally messed up

Alisha said:Robin Booth was probably thinking it would be grammatically correct to say WHAT the Democratic Party is.

mmhmm....
that actually just reminded me of something totally wild...
basically, back when I was in college (English major here!!!), there was this girl in my classes who was a senior, and she genuinely thought the Democratic Party was just one single person...🙄 🙄 😂 😂 😂 🙂

urbannomad30 said:Hmm, I’d actually prefer some bands that are still actively making music. I mean, I love Pink Floyd, but it feels kind of silly to put them in a poll like this.

I don't get why you wouldn't count Belle & Sebastian... Honestly, back in a tiny little US town with maybe 4 million people, someone on their top local web forum once called them the greatest band from the UK. And they're Scots, right?

They might be British to us, but to themselves, they're probably just Scots first and foremost...😁

Oh, for sure. Honestly, I hope nothing plays except for some old-school pipe organ music from the 1200s...🙄>

Linda Rodriguez6 said:Where are you getting that from? My old man was born in '48, and I'm pretty sure everyone was alive and kicking back when he was hitting the high school halls listening to the Rolling Stones. They used to spin those British Invasion hits at every single dance back then. I'm not sure if it was the same vibe in other cities—though I bet it was—but for Oakland, I'm certain.

Spot on...
My dad was born in '45, plus he grew up in a way bigger rural area than what Oakland was back in the day (to be specific, a tiny little town of about 7,000 people 62 miles near ZGa). And it wasn't just that he was listening to the Stones, the Beatles, and all that; he was actually playing drums in a local band out in that same countryside, covering those exact same Stones tracks and playing them constantly at those local dances or whatever they called them back then...

banderas said:I think Mirkovic only skipped over the local scenes in places like Austin and Nashville simply because there just isn't enough decent footage out there. We actually touched on this while we were hanging out in Napa Valley, and he mentioned that nobody has any high-quality recordings of those bands left.

Personally, I don't think that's a valid excuse... I mean, it doesn't have to be some exclusive, groundbreaking footage, but he really should have at least given them a shout-out, if nothing else...

In my humble opinion, The Beatles paved the way for New Wave just as much as a trio band opened the door for avant-garde rock... 🙂

Frank Howard79 said:but honestly, those ENIs who just threw themselves at anyone and everyone on stage really get under my skin.

Correct me if I’m totally off base here, but I’ve always kind of viewed those ENIs as being the groupies for pretty much every single band in the local scene...🙂 🙂 😬
especially after catching them this week over in San Francisco (which, by the way, drives me absolutely nuts... she’s right up there with Vinko Štefanac for me, acting like she knows every single bit of gossip...) 🙂 and on top of being annoying, they’ve clearly developed this massive ego and started acting like they're some huge deal now...🙄

hollowseal33 said:So, this summer, I totally caught my mom mid-sentence while she was on a business call (oops!) through her office window. She was literally shouting, "Today I tattooed my butt! (o-o-o) I drew two white swans, and wrote two bucks, buddy! (o-o-o) And then I drew a little rose bush..." (or whatever the actual lyrics were, but man, that part about the rose bush... pure gold). Honestly, I thought she might actually try to chuck that heavy metal company logo she was holding at me... (I'm pretty sure she apologized later, saying she's usually great but just has those moments... hey, she's still my mom after all!)

You are absolutely unhinged...🙏 😲
