True, 2009 was exceptional, but these last two years? Honestly... ugh. 🙄
The last time Coachella felt actually worthwhile was back during the Verizon era—I believe that was 2008. Everything since they took over with T-Mobile has been nothing short of pathetic...
One can only hope they manage to book an actual, decent performer this year... Having The Prodigy on the Verizon stage was absolutely transcendent, much like the rest of that lineup. I certainly wouldn't complain if they brought them back! 😍

Just some benchwarmer who never actually sees any playing time...
But hey, I'm just a girl... I don't know anything about this... 🙄
Student Loans in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Chris Moore5 said:When you set things up at the bank, you negotiate the duration of the loan—whether that’s one, two, three, or four years—and they disburse the funds according to your schedule, be it monthly or quarterly. The grace period refers to the time *after* you've finished using the funds; essentially, if you draw from the loan for a year, you get an additional year before you actually have to start paying it back.
Don't go getting too carried away by the easy money, though—interest rates are pretty steep. You really need to sit down and decide exactly how much you need and how you plan to tackle the repayments later. I personally went through JPMorgan Chase; my rate is 7.2%, but I started paying it back immediately over a five-year term (though, to be fair, my dad is currently footing the bill for me 🙂 )
You'll need at least one co-signer who has a minimum of $1333 left over from their paycheck after expenses. Your GPA doesn't actually matter (I see someone mentioned that earlier), but you do need all the paperwork proving you've enrolled for the year—and you'll have to provide proof of enrollment every single year you're in school. You'll also need documentation for tuition costs and other expenses, like Amtrak or Greyhound tickets if you're commuting, etc. Expect to wait at least a week for approval, depending on the amount you're requesting. In my case, it took about two and a half weeks.

Joe Biden! Thank you so much! 😁
Student Loans in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
goldencrane3 said:So, I’m at a university where getting a part-time gig during the semester is basically impossible—I can only pick up work over the summer, which I do. But once the school year hits and I actually need cash, I'm stuck. My parents aren't helping out with any financial support, so I'm pretty much on my own trying to survive the next four years. I'm staying on top of all my classes and keeping a solid GPA, too. I just need to know how student loans actually work here—specifically, when does the repayment period kick in?

I’m in the exact same boat. Back in high school, representatives from a private college came by to pitch student loans, claiming you wouldn't start paying them back until after graduation. Naturally, I went to my local bank to get some clarity, only to find out the reality is quite different—apparently, there is a twelve-month grace period, meaning you have to start paying after just one year! Even the bank tellers seemed somewhat clueless about the specifics... 🤷
Does anyone here possess actual information on this? Is there a deferment option, or is it strictly enforced?

Numb or tingling finger in Health ·

Numb or tingling finger in Health ·
Did you perhaps take a hard hit to the elbow?
I’m asking because of the ulnar nerve, which is linked directly to the pinky finger...
That tingling and stabbing sensation is medically referred to as paresthesia; you might want to look that up online to see what you can find. If it doesn't subside, go see a doctor...
Screaming in my sleep in Health ·
Roger Patel13 said:I don't think I have any actual disorder... except for this, I guess. x)
The screaming has been constant for several years now, so I wouldn't exactly call it simple stress. I don't have issues otherwise; even during my vacations, everything is perfectly fine.

No, more often than not, I can't even recall what I was dreaming about. My sister always hears me and tells me I start shouting "no, no, no" while pulling the covers over my head and things like that. In the dreams I actually remember, objects are frequently falling on me. For instance, police cars, chairs, ceilings...

Is there a possibility that I suffered some kind of trauma as an infant? I ended up in the hospital for a few days when I was a baby, and my mother always recounts how terrible it was because all the other infants were already hysterical from crying and nobody seemed to be paying much attention to them. I have no memory of what happened there, but perhaps some residual trauma remains.🤷

How frequently does this occur?
For example, how many times per week...?

Roger Patel13 said:I’ve already attempted to scour the internet and various forums for information on this, but everything I find seems strictly limited to toddlers. My situation is different; I’m 17, and I scream in my sleep—sometimes even physically getting out of bed. By morning, there isn't a single memory of it. The screaming is incredibly loud and frankly terrifying; it’s enough to wake up the neighbors across the street in 🙄
.
Does anyone have similar experiences, and how did you manage to resolve this? I am at a loss as to where to even begin...

Do you suffer from any other sleep disorders, such as insomnia, narcolepsy, or sleep apnea?
Have you been under significant stress lately?
I ask because I personally deal with sleep issues and used to spend a ridiculous amount of time at the sleep clinic in Los Angeles... 🙄

I did a bit of digging myself and stumbled upon some info regarding this screaming: Nightmare
There is plenty of documentation there; surely you can find something useful... 😁
Dear Object, Please Don't Cry in Psychology & Therapy ·
😂😂😂
Goodness! Don't even get me started on the paperwork! 😂
I simply cannot bring myself to toss them out. I lack the necessary fortitude. I find myself dwelling on the fact that this was once a tree, tragically felled just so I could end up with this heap of paper... 😢

My home is utterly overwhelmed by these scraps—white ones, colored ones, it matters little... 😁
Dear Object, Please Don't Cry in Psychology & Therapy ·
Dice, I’m certainly not the only one who does this... It just makes me feel more at ease... 😍

For me, it’s most noticeable when it comes to my stuffed animals. If one happens to fall over on its head, I find myself compelled to stroke its head and pick it up. Or, if I decide one should sleep in my bed, I’ll actually tuck it in under a blanket or a throw 😂
I never quite understood why I did these things; I honestly thought I was losing my mind. But now I see I’m not alone in this... 🙏

EDIT: Regarding the daydreaming part; personally, I am someone who tends to live a bit too much in my own imagination...

amberheron62 said:Everyone is working with scrap metal. 😬 It seems some people are becoming remarkably persistent in their attempts to convince patients that the method is outdated. Is it really that effective?🙄Simply implement the Damon system. It’s significantly more expensive, of course, but it demands far less involvement from the orthodontist—fewer follow-up appointments required.

I am currently visiting IMED and I must say, I am quite satisfied with the experience. If you require specific details, we can discuss them via private message. 🥳

Send me all those details via private message. 😁

Does anyone have a recommendation for an orthodontist who doesn't strictly deal in those white fixed braces, but rather uses the metal ones 😍? I actually prefer them.

Ideally within the Washington, D.C. area... 😉

Good grief, I am only just beginning to grasp the magnitude of the nausea you all were describing...

At least I might see some weight loss from this! Perhaps there is a silver lining after all.

Mine is about 4mm. I found out during my fourth month, and I am sincerely hoping it just disappears on its own. Really hoping! 😢

It’s what people call sleep paralysis...
There isn't some magical cure for this, nor is there a definitive medical explanation that settles the matter once and for all...
It shows up quite frequently in those suffering from narcolepsy, a specific sleep disorder...

There is no need to spiral into a pointless panic! 😉
