Anyone still running Windows 7? in Software ·
Just a quick question for you all—do the cloned versions run smoothly without any hiccups? Thanks!

What are you even getting at? Are you saying Nero is actually bad? Look, it’s totally fine if you just want to burn some discs, but when it comes to actual editing👎

Jason Nelson63 said:Hey everyone,
can someone point me toward the best (and easiest) software for making my own DVDs?

I've got about 2 or 3 little clips I want to bundle onto a single DVD, complete with a menu so you can pick which one to watch, and most importantly, it actually works in a standard DVD player.

Thanks in advance!

Go with the Adobe suite.

Use Adobe Premiere Pro for the editing part,
and then Adobe Encore DVD for the actual authoring.

They aren't exactly "plug and play" easy, but they really are the gold standard!

As for the other options out there—like Pinnacle, Sony Vegas Pro, or even Nero—honestly, skip them. They're pretty weak and the video quality just isn't there.

Where on earth did you guys find this one...

Top Gun is easily one of my all-time favorite movies... and don't even get me started on that soundtrack!

I don't want to clutter things up with a new thread, so I'll just jump in here.

So, I recently picked up a Yakumo Quickstick DVB-T tuner, and honestly, it’s a pretty sweet little device! But I’ve run into one annoying snag. It picked up all the local channels perfectly fine—you know, ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX—but the PBS station is driving me crazy. The picture and audio both stutter constantly, and then after about 30 seconds, the video just freezes completely while the audio keeps playing normally...
Everything else works flawlessly. As for my setup, I’m hooked up to the building's main outdoor antenna. Do you think I’d have better luck grabbing a small indoor antenna just to test things out?
Or am I looking at a hardware glitch somewhere else?

The broadcast tower is definitely within line-of-sight.
Sandy said:I’ve been messing around with Windows Movie Maker. I transferred my footage from the camera to my PC and everything looks fantastic—the quality is top-notch! But the second I try to burn a video DVD, it converts everything and I lose all that clarity. When I play back the burned disc, the quality is just heartbreaking. Does anyone know what's going wrong here? Or maybe someone can suggest some software that won't tank the quality when moving footage from a camera to a DVD?

You should give Pinnacle Studio 9 a shot! It’s honestly a great pick if you're just starting out. It's super user-friendly, but you can still whip up some really solid videos with it, especially if you're transferring via Firewire.
Just make sure you grab the 9.4 patch, because without it, the program will crash on you constantly!
Now, if you want to get serious and go pro, try the Adobe suite. You can edit your clips in Premiere and then handle all the Authoring using Adobe Encore DVD.

Just curious, that's all!

Yeah, I'm using an original Traxdat CD😁 😁
