macOS: Genuine or pirated?

I’ve got both Windows 98 and an original copy of Windows XP 🙂

I've actually got an original copy of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 😁

I used to have the original disc, but I managed to lose it somehow. Since I had to wipe my hard drive recently, I'm working with a backup copy now instead.

Honestly, Microsoft was such a powerhouse back in the day that my college actually gave away Windows and some other software for free to students. I guess they were really trying to secure their future or something. Anyway, just an original thought.
