Scorpions in Music ·
One of my absolute favorite bands, Scorpions, is finally hanging it up after 40 years on the road. It’s a bittersweet feeling—I'm genuinely bummed out, but at the same time, I'm happy because they're going out on their own terms, with total class. I really hope I get the chance to catch them live just one more time.

I mean, look at me—am I really that gullible?
Take today, for example. I picked up a Tempo sparkling water—checked every single label, read the fine print, verified everything, and still went ahead and drank it anyway. Haha.

But honestly—it’s nearly impossible to find food that actually contains "nothing" at all.

I have to admit, I’m a massive skeptic when it comes to aspartame too.
Lies—plain and simple. They claim there’s no sugar in products, like those sodas,
but then you see labels claiming things like "aspartame 1.1 MG" or some other nonsense.

I was at the grocery store today actually taking the time to scrutinize the labels—just checking what’s really inside everything. The cashier gave me this incredibly weird look, too. If I come back a second time, she’s going to think I’m a freak because I’ll be standing there for two hours just taking notes.
It’s ridiculous—a person shouldn't have to work this hard just to know what they're actually buying.

Everyone seems to be bashing Gainers lately..

I have a buddy who used a Gainer religiously and saw some absolutely phenomenal results—but let’s be clear—I know for a fact he was sweating buckets under a barbell every single day. My take? You should be investing most of your energy into grinding in the gym; everything else is just secondary noise.

By the way, does anyone know what happened to that old bodybuilding forum, Bodybuilding.com? It’s basically a ghost town now... nothing left there..?

The guy is clearly overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information being thrown at him...

I’ve been trying to get myself set up on the Bodybuilding.com forums—honestly, I just want to join the conversation—but for some reason, I can't seem to get that activation email to hit my inbox. It's incredibly frustrating because I can't actually jump into the discussions until that happens.

That’s not even the point here—it isn't my goal at all. My actual goal is just to feel better and to stop my shoulders from looking so damn narrow.

Yeah, I definitely botched my math there—my bad.
Let’s look at it this way: if you’re doing 30 grams per scoop, twice a day, that puts you at 60 grams daily. That adds up to 180 grams every single week.

bluestag7 said:Are you seriously training twice a day, every single day? I just don't see how else you’re going to burn through half a kilo in eight days—if you’re taking roughly 30 grams after every session and hitting the gym about four times a week, that supply should easily last you an entire month. 🤔

When I say "taking it," I’m referring to a twice-daily regimen—once immediately following your workout and again in the morning mixed in with some oatmeal.

So, what’s the deal with this Multipower Whey Professional stuff? Is it actually worth the hype, or just more overpriced powder sitting on a shelf?

Paul Harris4 said:Look—I didn't dig through the whole thread before this, but here’s the bottom line: once you're done hitting the weights, you absolutely need to get some fast-digesting protein into your system—it’s non-negotiable for muscle recovery and growth. Sure, you can pull protein from steak, tuna, or eggs, but nothing beats a solid Whey protein supplement, especially when paired with glucose. Honestly, nothing else provides that exact same efficiency.

So, these whey proteins aren't going to kill me after all. And you're spot on about the combo—pairing it with glucose is the way to go (apparently you can pick up those blends at GNC). Up until today, I was dead set against buying supplements. But I want to do this right—no half-measures—so it looks like I'll have to bite the bullet and buy them, even if I have to put it on my credit card. I'm done messing around; I just want to see results.

I have a question for you all.
I’ve been spending quite a bit of time reading through that bodybuilding forum—you know the one—and the consensus there seems to be that taking whey immediately after a workout is some sort of absolute necessity. Yet, we discussed this right here previously, where we established that protein supplements aren't strictly mandatory. There is some guy on that forum who swears by those One Extreme proteins; apparently, a 500-gram tub costs about $47. At my current budget, that would barely last me eight days. So, let's get real: is post-workout whey actually a requirement, or is all that stuff we talked about before still the bottom line?

🤦 yeah

I honestly believe the core issue here—the fundamental misunderstanding—is that people have convinced themselves protein is nothing more than whatever powder they scoop out of a tub.

🙂hahahaha

Now, that—that would actually be fair!

Did you hear that, fellas?

Don't go getting all puffed up about it.

It isn't cool.

Really, it isn't.

Me likes you😁
Let's not get too carried away with the off-topic chatter—we don't want to drown out this actually useful discussion.
Personally, I hit the gym strictly for myself—just to feel better in my own skin—and honestly, that's exactly what I'd recommend to anyone else.
Best protein powders for muscle gain? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
I honestly can't stand people who are all puffed up with muscle but have zero actual strength or stamina underneath it all.
That’s why I have so much respect for those leaner guys—like the breakdancers you see out on the street—where you can actually see every single vein and muscle fiber working under the skin.

Most of these gym rats are just chasing a temporary high, driven by nothing more than a desperate urge to impress some girl or look tough for an audience.

Thanks for the response!
Someone tells me that eating tuna too often is a bad idea—is there actually any weight to that argument, or is it just some playground myth designed to scare people off?
Best protein powders for muscle gain? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
I’m curious—is it actually possible to hit the gym and get serious about bodybuilding without relying on protein supplements? Can you still see real muscle growth? To be perfectly blunt, I don’t have the cash to waste on that overpriced junk, and frankly, I have zero interest in wasting my time on supplements anyway.
I plan on eating a massive variety of whole foods—though, if I’m being honest, I'll be leaning heavily on cottage cheese and canned tuna, since those are easy enough to grab in bulk whenever I need them.
