So, when you look at how they're categorized, both Labradors and Golden Retrievers actually fall under the broader retriever umbrella; they belong to that same specific family group, don't they? In a broader sense, you could say retrievers fall into that "bird dog" category, mostly because they have this obsessive urge to chase down ducks and geese just to bring them back to you. Of course, that only applies to the ones who aren't deathly afraid of everything and don't insist on eating their meals off fine silver like they’re royalty—though I suppose some people would prefer a Rolls-Royce over a simple bowl. 🙄).

You know, if we’re really digging into how these classifications work, you have to consider that things like Setters fall into that same category. It's all part of the same messy whole, isn't it? 😍The Spaniards, and then of course those guys who are nothing more than bottom-feeders. 😁
