Not even a scrap of paper left when everything finally ran out.
It’s a shame, really; you were actually a decent leader. 🙂

I don't quite follow this part. Why wouldn't I? 🤔

I could maybe get behind the second one, but that first one... 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

Watch your mouth, lady—it’s just that you still haven't actually proven yourself to be someone who knows how to cook, eat, or drink with any real class, regardless of all those promises you made.☕

Man, you’re sounding a little dramatic here, aren't you? 🙂
I mean, do you really think you won't feel the consequences if none of those five things actually go straight through your system?

1. Pot roast (or any other greasy mess)
2. Fast food burgers brought from somewhere else
3. Pancakes
4. Deep-fried dough balls
5. Turkey with stuffing

Baking powder has its own distinct scent, but you know what actually smells better? 🤔

What kind of garnish is that? You don't just throw some little fruit on top; you drown the whole thing in rum. 😁
I mean, generally speaking, it’s just a massive distance away, isn't it? 🙏 Does anyone else ever find themselves just sitting there, wondering which scents actually stick with you, or if we’re all just drifting through a haze of artificial fragrances? I was thinking about what constitutes the most pungent, overwhelming smells—the ones that don't just hit your nose, but kind of settle into your bones and refuse to leave. Is it that heavy, industrial stench of a refinery out in Houston, or maybe that sharp, biting smell of a subway station in New York during a humid July? It makes you wonder, doesn't it, why some odors feel like an assault while others just fade into the background noise of life? 🙏 It’s basically just rum, some zest from a lemon, and four packs of vanilla sugar—and honestly, it ends up being way sweeter than anything else you could possibly whip up with those four packs of vanilla sugar.

Hey 👍

If you're looking for the two best types of batter that actually taste good raw:

1. pancake mix 😍
2. puff pastry
3. crepe batter ☕
4. pretty much everything else

Sometimes I honestly wonder why we even bother cooking them at all, don't you? 🤔

It’s one of those fundamental divides in our personalities, isn't it? How can two people raised in the same house look at the exact same thing and see such different worlds? First off, there's the sheer, unadulterated thrill of a spontaneous cross-country road trip. I love the feeling of just hitting the highway, grabbing a coffee from a local diner, and seeing where the road takes us. For her? She thinks it's nothing more than a disorganized recipe for exhaustion and wasted gas. Then there’s the quiet intensity of a rainy afternoon spent lost in a thick, classic novel. There is something so grounding about the smell of old paper and the sound of droplets hitting the windowpane, don't you think? She, on the other hand, views it as a tedious waste of time that could be better spent being "productive." I also have a massive soft spot for indie films—those low-budget, gritty stories that don't rely on explosions or CGI to tell a human truth. To me, they're art; to her, they're just pretentious slogs that go nowhere. Fourth on the list is the ritual of slow-cooked Sunday dinners. I find something deeply meditative about spending hours in the kitchen, letting the aromas fill the house while everything simmers away. She just sees it as an unnecessary chore that keeps us stuck in the kitchen when we could be doing something else. And finally, I'm a sucker for live jazz in a dimly lit, cramped basement club. That raw, improvisational energy is everything to me. But for her? It's just loud, chaotic noise that makes it impossible to hold a conversation. It’s funny how the things that make me feel most alive are the very things she finds so grating.

Three for two, just like they promised my sister.

Testing, testing. One, two.

Is there anything more exhausting than waiting around for things to finally happen? Honestly, I'm just ready for the crew to show up already. Bring on the squad! 🎉

And what if you happen to be that first one? Does that mean you just decide to stop using your brain entirely? 😬
Well, you’re never actually the first one there, are you?
That intersection is usually some massive bottleneck right during rush hour, and even if it isn't, you’re stuck idling for fifty yards before the light even thinks about turning green. By the time you actually reach the front of the line, there’s no way you’re first in line; you've already spent half your life crawling behind the guy who barely cleared the sensor. 😁

Here’s a chronological rundown of the cars I've owned:
1. Stojka 1 (this one before me)
2. Stojka 2
3. Chevrolet Cavalier
So, I just saw the fourth generation Toyota Corolla, and honestly, what are we even doing here? It feels like every time they release a "new" model, they’re just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic while pretending everything is revolutionary. Is it actually an improvement, or are we all just being gaslit by clever marketing departments? I can't help but feel like we've been down this road before, circling the same tired designs and calling it progress. Does anyone else get that nagging sense of deja vu, or am I just getting too old and cynical for the automotive industry? 🎉

Susan Clark10 said:haha, yeah, but even if I managed to wrap my head around all that in theory, there's zero chance I'd actually know how to apply it in real life..

In reality, none of that matters. All that exists are traffic lights.

Hypothetically, even if a traffic light breaks down at a massive intersection like Broadway and everyone—cars, streetcars, cops, cyclists—tries to push through at once, you just end up following the bumper in front of you in one big mindless clump without using a single brain cell.
Honestly, I haven't had a clue about those right-of-way rules for ages. Two months after passing the driving test, it's just traffic lights, stop signs, yield signs, and the "hand signal" rule—though I've never actually used that last one either.

And regarding what you said about always walking when you're home (not that I feel like fixing the quote formatting), well, not everyone lives right in the middle of Times Square.😠

As for the outskirts, who knows. I guess we'll have to coordinate with Pat. You want to grab some gyro with us?

Susan Clark10 said:I mean, they basically gave me a passing grade on those tests based purely on my athletic ability alone😬

You guys are really overthinking this. Honestly, back in middle school, I didn't have a clue who was supposed to go where or why—we didn't even have formal testing, he’d just ask us at the chalkboard, and frankly, the guy never really clicked with me. It would have been pretty pathetic if you actually hit an intersection and had no idea how to navigate it, but man, during driving school, nobody bragged about those "advantages" more than the instructors did.

Go ahead and sign up for your driver's ed classes and see where everyone ends up in a month. 🙂

Carol Jackson45 said:Must be nice for you, cruising out of San Francisco like it’s nothing. Some of us actually had to put in the work, trekking all the way from Miami to Venice in an old junker. You think you've got it easy? Try beating that. 😬

Haha, tell me about it. It’s the absolute truth. 🙏

"Hey there, how's it going, Betty?" Rock asked, giving her a little wink, while she just sat there rubbing her temples like he was being a complete headache again.
It’s nothing, Rock, really—just watching the fish struggle out there. But please, for the love of God, turn that radio off; you're making my head spin like a damn top. To be honest with you, I actually preferred those times when we used to drive without any music playing at all. At least back then we could actually have a conversation, but now? Now it's just constant, mindless noise blaring in my ears.
Did they seriously not even have a radio on him? Honestly, that customs officer was a total disaster.
We didn't, because Rock put him right in New York City.
Good grief, you’ve gone and thrown us right back into the gutter again—could you maybe just give us a heads-up before everything goes south?
"You're going to cough up eighty thousand," the customs agent says, dead serious, "so you might as well just go over there and declare it properly."
You guys didn't tell me a single thing about the radio situation. Honestly, how was I supposed to know? You never once mentioned that I wasn't allowed to bring up the radio.
You really went and pulled a fast one on me there, Betty... honestly, you’re just a smooth talker.

Just one more bit of unsolicited wisdom for the road: remember when we actually had MP3 players? 👍 Back when the Discman was king. 👎
