Matthew Vaughn12 said:But isn't it just a matter of time before they are ahead of? Over the last three years, BMW has been advancing with such certainty,

this reminds me of Stark's contemplations regarding Renault's progress🤣
I'm not quite sure how much they're actually improving,

Matthew Vaughn12 said:that it's already realistic to expect a first win this year, and next year, a completely level fight for the title.

They might grab a win if things fall their way—almost like the Canadian Grand Prix 2006. They've shown they can hold pace with Ferrari and BMW on certain tracks during parts of a race, but they still lack what you'd call true "pace."

As for the title next season? With the rule changes coming up, I think you're being a bit too optimistic.

David Smith4 said:Robert Kubica. He showed pure grit and raw speed. You can see his hunger for a win from his previous races, too. This forum is just like any other one out there. It’s always just about Ferrari and McLaren. It would be nice if people actually looked at the other teams objectively.

Objectively speaking, BMW is BEHIND Ferrari and McLaren

David Smith4 said:BMW is great. Sure, they struggle a bit with aerodynamics, but they've improved. Kubica is constantly on the podium or in the top five. And Nick Heidfeld isn't far behind either. If I recall correctly, he even grabbed a second-place finish last year. BMW is definitely fighting for a podium. The real question is who takes it and where. Personally? I think Kubica takes first or second. We should give the other teams some credit.

All I can tell you is this—those are your wishes and your dreams.🤷

Ahem...

Jason Campbell70 said:Ferrari has been absolutely dominant all season long. Because of that, I’m expecting an easy 1-2 finish here, with Heikki Kovalainen taking third.☕

The race at GP Montreal-2008 was a mess. A total disaster for Ferrari. How does that even happen? One minute you're looking at a potential win, and the next, everything just falls apart. Kimi Räikkönen had such a strong run, but seeing him lose out like that? It's tough to watch. And what about Felipe Massa? You'd think with a car like that, things would go differently. Instead, we just saw chaos. It’s hard to wrap your head around how much can change in a single afternoon. One minute you're on top, the next you're just part of the wreckage. Just one of those days where nothing goes according to plan.

1. Robert Kubica
2. Kimi Räikkönen
3. Heikki Kovalainen
4. Lewis Hamilton

...

Given how resigned Kimi Räikkönen looked during Friday practice, this is actually a great result.🙏

He's going to razvaliti them in qualifying.👍

Jason Campbell70, sorry, but you're just talking nonsense.

Are you trolling?👎
rapidstag2 said:Ten minutes on the bike, the track, or the stepper isn't going to trigger catabolism. Not even close. Of course, that assumes your nutrition is on point—because let's be honest, without a solid diet, even heavy lifting won't yield much progress. Besides, wouldn't you say jumping straight onto the machines without warming up does far more damage?

I wouldn't recommend anyone tackling aerobic training before hitting the anaerobic stuff. Why bother?
Is a steady ten-minute, low-intensity workout considered aerobic? It is.
Again, you aren't burning fat; you're burning glycogen.
Once those muscles burn through their glycogen stores, you start hitting high-intensity anaerobic training? The muscle loses its primary fuel source. It essentially starts eating itself. That's catabolism in a nutshell.

rapidstag2 said:Besides, you could do much more damage if you jump onto the machines without warming up first.

A perfect five. But I’m still not going to overlook how crucial a proper warm-up is.
rapidstag2 said:So, give me a little more clarity here. How exactly do you plan on dropping nothing but fat without losing any muscle mass?🙏 So, you mean pure muscle mass by hitting the weight machines first and then finishing off with the treadmill or stationary bike?

Step one: get the diet right. Above all else.👍

Part two—I never said that’s how I train.😉Honestly, I’d recommend that everyone keeps their aerobic and anaerobic training sessions completely separate. Why mix them? It just makes more sense to keep them distinct.

What nonsense. A quick 10-minute session on the bike, stepper, or treadmill is highly recommended before you start lifting. Don't forget stretching, too. And don't worry, you won't trigger any serious catabolism. 😂

Actually, it isn't nonsense. If your goal is to burn subcutaneous fat while maintaining lean muscle mass, you should train using an anaerobic system first, followed by aerobic training.☕

rapidstag2 said:You can ride the bike either before or after your workout.

My answer remains the same as above.👍

rapidstag2 said:If you actually want advice that carries some weight, you need to provide more context. Goals? Diet? Current training routine? Supplements? You haven't really said anything at all.

👍

rapidstag2 said:It might be a case where you want to lose weight. In that scenario, you'd do moderate-intensity cycling or running in the morning on an empty stomach. But if you're in a bulking phase then things change again, so...

In any case, nutrition is the most important factor.

shadowstag2 said:So how are you supposed to warm up beforehand then? Just some basic stretching, or what?

Did you have PE back in elementary or middle school?😉
So, warming up and stretching. That's the move.

shadowstag2 said:I always kick things off with some cardio before my main session—usually hitting the stationary bike, the StairMaster, or just logging some miles on the treadmill.

I wouldn't recommend it.
What exactly are you planning to burn? Glycogen, not fat. Your body is just going to crash into catabolism later on—both during and after anaerobic training.

Ashley Parker82 said:Is it better to go for a light bike ride before hitting the gym, or should I save the cardio for after the workout?

Definitely after.

When you do anaerobic training—lifting weights—you burn through the glycogen stored in your muscle.

If you follow up that lifting session with some aerobic work (like cycling, the elliptical, or a treadmill), your muscles won't have much glycogen left to tap into. Instead, they start pulling from fat stores.

Flip that order around, though? If you do the cardio first and then lift, you run a real risk of heavy muscle catabolism.

John Doe said:What do you mean Robert Kubica? When did he ever win? When? Where? Against whom?

Everything has its first time. Even if Robert Kubica hasn't reached the absolute top yet, a little bit of luck could easily see him climbing to the highest step this season.👍

Matthew Foster46 said:Was it the wheelbase issue? That’s what tripped up Ferrari last year. He went on a tear, tearing through the entire list of tracks, this one included. I suspect things are about to get intense here, and honestly? Lewis might find himself facing some serious competition soon.

🙄How much of this story have we already heard?

Ferrari didn't mess up with the wheelbase. Short or long? Neither. Let's ignore all that armchair speculation from the self-proclaimed F1 "experts."
It really seemed like Ferrari was the only one that could find speed on almost any circuit.
So, it turns out that "extreme" car setups didn't exactly do wonders on tracks like Monaco or Monza.
Even though last year's Canadian GP was a total blowout for Ferrari, I still think my reasons for expecting one or two wins from them are realistic and objectively sound. Why wouldn't I?😍
