@Pilatus, you don't even believe those Lewis Hamilton fairy tales anymore; you've outgrown them.

Jason Campbell70 believes in God the Father Almighty and His Son Jesus Christ.
mellowtiger83 said:That prediction is about as reliable as the claim that Hamilton would have finished third or lower in 2021 under these exact same regulations.😁

Tibac, you seem to have forgotten how easily our local banks can just shut us down.

First off, 2021 won't operate under those same regulations.
Second, these rule changes actually play right into Mercedes' hands.

^^ I actually feel bad for him.
Jason Campbell70 said:I just wish he could keep up that flawless streak during qualifying.

After all, he can always go back to his other specialty: an equally perfect run of races where he finishes without a single point.

^^ That’s exactly what I’d like to see.

Kenneth Cruz67 said:I suppose if Russell manages to get his hands on a truly competitive car and starts racking up those wins, we might just see a scenario that plays out almost exactly like the Lewis Hamilton era. Only, I have this nagging feeling that Russell would probably lean even harder into that quintessential Englishman persona, which, if you ask me, might make him just a little bit more irritating to deal with.😁

When George finally finds a car that actually competes.
Between Max Verstappen's raw speed, the nationality factor with George and Lando Norris, or the legacy aspect with Michael Schumacher... you can bet that once Lewis Hamilton moves over to Ferrari, the door to that Mercedes-Benz cockpit will be wide open for one of them.
Regarding that driver with four consecutive championships:
Just an average driver. He's only winning titles because he happens to be sitting in the greatest car ever built. Is it really that simple?

Same story, just two posts later, and now we're talking about a different driver who pulled off four consecutive titles:
It wasn't just a stroke of luck with a single win or one title. Four in a row? That's pure skill.

Hahahahah.
"What are you even on??"

Same guy, same exact vibe, just two sentences later:
"Lewis Hamilton is just an average driver who happened to get lucky enough to sit in the best car ever built."

LOL.
"It all comes down to the race car; anyone could be a champion if they were driving a Mercedes-Benz."
- If that's true, why does Lewis Hamilton have 42 wins and 4 titles over 4 seasons, while Valtteri Bottas only has 9 wins and hasn't managed a single title—just a 5th and a 3rd place finish in the standings?
"That's because they aren't driving identical cars. Hamilton's is faster."
- LOL.

That guy was basically 90% of the soul behind Napoli and Argentina; he’s the one who carried them all the way to the top of the world in the greatest sport on the planet (and he did it as part of a team, too!). Meanwhile, Lewis is just out there enjoying life driving for the most dominant team in history against damn Valtteri Bottas.

Even though both are arguably the GOAT of their respective sports, I completely agree with that sentiment.
The exact same two people who used to defend Sebastian Vettel by claiming "it’s all about the car" are now just as loud in their attacks on Lewis Hamilton, using those same old arguments.
LOL.
I already laid it all out a month ago:

Shifting conditions, unpredictable variables, and the pure need for raw driving skill... where on earth is Valtteri Bottas?

Bottas is formidable when the car is dialed in perfectly. When all the variables are accounted for? When everything goes exactly according to plan? That's when he's at his best.
Fortunately, that’s become a bit of a pattern for him at Mercedes-Benz over the last few seasons. He manages to push the car right to its absolute limit. Then, he gathers those points—and converts them into a win in exactly the same way. Every single time.

When it comes to pulling a rabbit out of a hat—whether it’s Hamilton's performance today, that move at Imola, or an overtake on a direct rival like he did at Monza last year—Bottas just doesn't have that gear.

New track, new conditions, and a mountain of unknown variables. Plus, there's no sign of Valtteri Bottas anywhere.
He couldn't manage to put together even one decent lap. It was just mistake after mistake. He looked like a complete rookie out there.

Then again, we know what George Russell brings to the table. He has this incredible knack for adapting to tracks and conditions he’s never even touched before. Isn't that exactly what you want? A driver who is truly elite when it comes to that single, high-pressure qualifying lap.
It’s clearly not just about him being an Englishman, despite what some of the local F1 "experts" on here seem to think.

Based on what I've been seeing on Facebook and in the comments sections of various news sites, most people seem to be rooting for either Hulkenberg or George Russell.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Mercedes pulled a massive PR stunt like that.

Back to the topic:
For years now, I've been hoping I wouldn't have to watch that reckless clown in Formula 1 anymore.
And honestly? I should thank him. Thanks to yet another one of his ridiculous, wrecking-prone moves, that wish of mine is coming true two races earlier than expected.
Goodbye, Grosjean. You won't be missed.

Even more off-topic:
The most anticipated race of the season is coming up. A real old-school layout. I can hardly wait for the race, and I'll definitely be keeping a close eye on all the practice sessions.

That V-Strom, man... just pure perfection.
Pretty much so.
Maybe you're the first one here to say it, but I've been seeing the same sentiment regarding Charles Leclerc on Reddit, in the YouTube comments, and even over on the F1 technical forums.
Richard Walker38 said:He's basically the new Fernando Alonso. Half the race spent whining on the radio just like Fernando used to.

I don't know who came up with "Lecry," but honestly? It couldn't be more fitting.
