And why are we calling Leclerc soft? Didn't one of you guys just describe him a few races ago as a "dominant force who takes what he wants instead of asking for it?
🤷
Just like after Singapore:

one more season with this driver lineup. 🙂

Ferrari's smart approach to personnel is paying off, yielding better results race after race, season after season.

Binotto is top-tier when it comes to engines—likely one of the reasons Ferrari pulls off miracles during the second half of the year.
But he isn't the right fit for Team Principal.
On the other hand, look at how Wolff and Mercedes-Benz aren't afraid to let Bottas go if they think it benefits the team.

Luck was on Ferrari's side on the pit wall; thank goodness a failure on Vettel's car saved them from even greater embarrassment.
Watching the footage now. 👋

Starting on any tire works for Hamilton, provided he can jump into P1 at the lights.
Similarly, starting on anything else is a mess if Ferrari manages to secure a 1-2 at the start.

If Ferrari leads out with a 1-2, they could easily pull off a tactical win for one of their drivers without much effort.
And if Sebastian Vettel ends up in first place, ahead of Charles Leclerc and Hamilton, then that's just how it goes.
"We were returning the favor from Belgium."

Which is perfectly fine by me.

It feels like a tactical move. Maybe he’s setting himself up for a better payoff at the start tomorrow.

Yeah, right. A tactical decision to look like a total clown.
Ferrari is starting on softs, while Hamilton goes with mediums.

It’ll be interesting to see if Ferrari can pull off a third straight race where their pace is actually superior during the run.
Charles Leclerc lost control three times during qualifying in Singapore.
He actually lost it three separate times just within S3.

I can't wait to see Vettel's onboard footage; I bet it was quite the ride.

Ten of them at Suzuki USA

Honestly, you're easily one of the best contributors on this board. 👍
Ten in a row.

Is Adrian Newey some kind of wizard?
Another Catholic legend proving once again why he’s the GOAT.
Sebastian Vettel's car just isn't working for him either.

He just can't get that front end to bite.
By the way, if you want to discuss race pace, let's stick to actual lap times throughout the full race. Anything else? Please, just skip me.

Fresh eyes here: would George Russell have finished in the points if he hadn't collided with Grožan? All those "what if" arguments... I honestly couldn't care less. I'll be ignoring them with absolute pleasure. 👍
stormybadger8 said:Yeah, but he actually had a better overall race pace than both Red Bull and Mercedes. 😍

Even with those completely off-base comparisons and all that crystal ball gazing, there's still nothing from Ferrari.
And we're talking about Ferrari's race pace here.

Remarkable.
If Russell had shown better race pace than Leclerc right at the start, I probably would have called it out myself one of these days.
During lap 61 of the Singapore GP, Leclerc was:
- faster than Lewis Hamilton in 36 sectors
- faster than Valtteri Bottas in 35 sectors

During lap 61 of the Singapore GP, Vettel was:
- faster than Lewis Hamilton in 35 sectors
- faster than Valtteri Bottas in 38 sectors

Just noting that impressive Mercedes race pace.
I’m hoping we finally see some actual overtaking. Those last few processions were honestly pretty dull to watch.

LOL

We aren't hating on Geri Anderson.
We're just making fun of him.

That linked article? It’s nothing more than a pile of subjective nonsense from Anderson.
