This was a tactical move by Vettel, and honestly? It was a masterstroke. 🙏
Three flies, one swat. Simple as that. :t:
At the start, he’s ahead of Lewis Hamilton, but he's right there alongside him...
Kimi starts right on the nose of Lewis Hamilton. And honestly, we all know exactly how Kimi handles a start...
Is Kimi signing a new deal with Ferrari tonight? :tre p:
It looks like the race order is pretty much set: Sebastian Vettel, Kimi Räikkönen, then Lewis Hamilton. ☕
stormybadger8 said:And why exactly would that leave a bad taste in my mouth?
Honestly, I don't think those qualifying sessions could have gone any better for me. 😁
I am more than satisfied. 😁
stormybadger8 said:Finally, some actual competence from the Ferrari pit crew. Is it too much to ask for them to actually do their jobs? 🙏
Now those are masters. 👍
That move on the outside was brilliant. It’s great to see Kimi ahead of Lewis Hamilton. 😁
And finally, Kimi takes pole position. 🙏
Brian Campbell36 said:Lewis Hamilton got lucky in that duel, pulling off the win despite Kimi being a bit lackluster. If Sebastian Vettel had shown more tactical sense, he would have let Luja pass and then tried to snatch it back using DRS. Hamilton played it aggressive because he’s sitting on those championship points and has the full support of the FIA. Every major role at the FIA seems to be held by an American; nobody else gets a look-in for those spots, just the folks from the USA. 👎
Vettel thinks Hamsta didn't leave him enough room;
"I don't think he left me enough space, and I had no choice but to make contact."

If a driver actually used his head—and some grit—he would have collided with Hamsta instead of playing it soft and getting burned. He should have sent them both into DNF mode.
Max only got that ridiculous penalty because he was fighting against Mercedes-Benz and Valtteri Bottas. 🤦
The FIA is such a joke; even Dorn and MotoGP are laughing at them.🤦
That's my take. I'm done quoting you; I've been advised to just put you on my ignore list. 🍿
Jason Campbell70 said:In both fast Q3 laps, the geniuses are basically using driver number one to pull driver number two along.
When you consider driver number one is fighting for the championship, while driver number two has zero reason to care about points other than helping driver number one secure the title.
At Indianapolis.
OK, I think I've seen it all now.
GG WP.
Roger Wright94 said:Vettel? I’ll have to check the replays later, but honestly, I think Kimi is the main factor here. He had a rough start. Vettel was clearly faster, but he just couldn't find a way past—there wasn't enough time. Then Kimi holds him up again, and that leads straight to the incident. I don't see any major driving errors on his part.
mellowtiger83 said:Toby, get out of here! Nobody’s asking anything of you. Let’s just focus on discussing the master himself, Sebastian Vettel, behind the wheel.🙂
darkmarlin16 said:There's really nothing to say against Kimi Raikkonen. He drove a hell of a race, but his own team just messed him up. Honestly? He’s driving even better than Vettel right now.
Anthony Baker84 said:By the way, isn't what Mercedes did when Kimi pulled into the pits illegal now? Is that rule gone or what?
Jeremy Reyes4 said:Unbelievable. This guy seems to have more luck than actual talent. What a joke.
Brandon Evans5 said:once upon a time, F1 Raikkonen would have just driven right through here, taken care of himself and Lewis in one go, and locked in that lead for Vettel.
George White52 said:Kimi isn't going to make it to the end on these tires. Honestly, I don't think Lewis Hamilton will either. ☕
