Has anyone actually tried defending the inside line when entering Turn 1?

mellowtiger83 said:Careful how you talk. Otherwise, Toby might show up to explain how Ray is actually faster than Rosberg, Bottas, Alonso, and Button—claiming Mark Webber is better than all of them combined!
Watch what you say. Maybe he's already drafting some defense for that four-way fraud.🎉
mellowtiger83 said:But then you have guys like Sebastian Vettel, who somehow manages to be fast every now and then despite being a disinterested 39-year-old.
stormytiger4 said:If he wasn't on that team, everyone would just claim he only won because of that dominant Mercedes car and wouldn't have done it otherwise. You and Mario Andretti would be the first to say it.
stormytiger4 said:Or Nico Rosberg.
mellowtiger83 said:I'm trying to picture what Sebastian Vettel would do if he were behind the wheel of, say, a Lewis Hamilton or Max Verstappen car!

Did he just sfušati that lap? 🤣
swifttiger75 said:Not that it actually changes anything.

Kimi is the number two driver at Ferrari! He’s perfectly fine with it. Sebastian Vettel is fine with it too. Everyone at Ferrari is totally cool with it. Most fans are, too.
Look, the WDC is the holy grail. Everything revolves around that. Given how dominant Mercedes-AMG is, this is the only logical approach—though it’s always been the Italian philosophy.
And then we see it constantly being brought up here... claims of Kimi being sabotaged.
It isn't happening.
Kimi was the last guy to win the FER WDC!
He's an old veteran who still has plenty of life in him, but he knows exactly where he stands.
mellowtiger83 said:Mercedes clearly has the speed, but it isn't just the engine. Ferrari clocked higher top speeds across all three sectors at the US Grand Prix 2018. It’s the Mercedes chassis that’s truly impressive!

mellowtiger83 said:Unless the geniuses at Ferrari actually thought they could undercut Lewis Hamilton by 3 seconds using the hardest tires available that weekend?? And then there's Mercedes, being just as foolish by trying to cover that idiot move from the Ferrari pit wall.
Kyle Lopez2 said:What could Lewis Hamilton have actually done during the VSC?
Maybe he could have squeezed out an extra 5 seconds—which would've been enough—but then he might have just picked up a speeding penalty under the VSC.
Kyle Lopez2 said:It was the VSC that screwed Lewis Hamilton, not Vettel. It's similar to what happened last year in Barcelona when the VSC screwed Vettel. Same situation, same main players.☕
Kyle Lopez2 said:Kimi Raikkonen is the one to blame here. You get one pit stop window over about 20 laps, and suddenly he's dropped 3.5 seconds behind Lewis Hamilton. What kind of undercut are you supposed to pull off from 3.5 seconds back? That's ridiculous.
The Best F1 driver said:It’s really not the same thing...
Haas's drivers retired because of a mechanical failure—basically a pit crew blunder. Max just messed up during a standard wheel-to-wheel battle due to his own lack of skill...
How that relates to a car retiring because someone forgot to tighten a wheel? Only you would think that makes sense.🤦
Roger Wright94 said:So, what now?
Was he supposed to pit again, and then just wait for Vettel to show up?
