Honestly? I was going to say I expect Massu to end up in the Hall of Shame instead.

Didn't want to jinx him. But clearly, he’s his own bad luck. 😁
Maldonado being himself. ☕

😂

🤦
Now everyone’s lost their minds. You can shave a full second off the best lap time just by switching to slicks. 😁
Alright, the slicks are out on track now.

Perez is running on primes, while Alonso is on options.

Both Massa and Hamilton have switched to options. Massa is already clocking times that rival his best from >.
Linda Bailey17 said:Does anyone know what the weather is looking like in New York City today? Any sign of rain on the horizon?

P3 is wet enough that Alonso, Hamilton, and Rosberg are already out on full wets.
Richard Vaughn62 said:It’s hard to call, but based on this, it looks like we're in for rain all day and some chilly weather—around 60°F. Hopefully, things dry out by race time tomorrow.

It won't just be graining; it's going to be total graining.

John Doe on the monitors. 😍😍😍😍😍😍
So many new pieces have already surfaced today. I can hardly wait for tomorrow's practice sessions. 👋
Brian Campbell36 said:Where is that noble STINGer hiding? Not a single word about him in this thread on such a prestigious sport. 🤔

I've sworn myself to silence. 😁

Brian Campbell36 said:One good race, one bad one... what can you do? 🤣

So—Alonso is looking absolutely sharp in Canada. 😁

Ever heard of the famous STINGer? 🍿
fadedwalker18 said:And rain. Lots of rain. At least for Saturday, if not Sunday too.

Heavy rain means plenty of Safety Cars.

Not good.
Roger Wright94 said:Sixthly, the track surface isn't particularly abrasive, so it’s a shame if that doesn't help wear down those Mercedes tires. There aren't many long corners, either.

There aren't long corners, sure, but there are plenty of heavy-load turns.
Full throttle right out of the slow corners.
Lots of rear-end sliding.
More sliding means more tire degradation.

And you know what's missing? Downforce on the rear end.

I’m expecting a good race, and I fully intend to get one.

A quasi-peak.

stormybadger8 said:Besides, banning testing didn't really hurt Ferrari; it hurt Michael Schumacher...

To put it more accurately—testing is about developing the driver, not just the car. 😍

Alex Fowler5 said:What kind of stats does Brawn have according to that logic?

That’s one of the most brutal reality checks I've seen in a long time. 😂

We all know the damage that testing bans have done to Ferrari.
It’s frustrating. You have a crew capable of clinching championships by September, yet because of these restrictions, Ferrari—arguably the most iconic and successful outfit in Formula 1 history—is being outpaced by certain "instant" teams that lack any real legacy or tradition.

So, how do we push back? We need to bring testing back.
How? Subtly. Ideally, we let someone else do the heavy lifting for us.
Who could help? Our closest neighbor.

Imagine if our neighbor developed tires that were:
a) perfectly optimized for Ferrari
b) such a mystery to everyone else that they’re forced to scramble for more testing time.

It’s a Win-win situation, provided you’re Ferrari.
A total disaster, if you’re anyone else.

Now look at this. Even Pirelli is calling for mid-season testing, otherwise they might actually be forced out of Formula 1.😁

All in all, it’s starting to feel like this whole thing is just an artificial farce. Wouldn't it make sense to bring testing back?☕

Who do you think lost the most when testing was banned?

We're strong. We're Ferrari. ☕

Brian Campbell36 said:So, is anyone actually sure if the issue was Alonso or just the race car?

The race car wasn't performing perfectly, sure. But let's be honest—Alonso falling asleep at the wheel is the real reason he lost positions three separate times.

Like someone already pointed out—it was basically a sightseeing tour.

Could a moderator please edit my previous post? Just trying to fix a little slip of the pen.

The season?
I can't recall a worse performance from Fernando since he joined Ferrari.

neonfalcon16 said:Rosberg was totally dominant; he didn't even give anyone a chance to close the gap (even if everyone looked close in Monaco). Vettel took advantage of the opening, Alonso and Hemoš were just mediocre, Kimi struggled, and Button was terrible. Now we wait for the spectacle in Canada.

Alonso was absolutely subpar.

As for Hamilton, he's just a victim of bad tactics and an unlucky SC.
Nothing more, nothing less.
