The way they were dressed, it doesn't even matter.🙂

Come on, please post a close-up... I think a single shot could really capture what the sound was actually like.

@ krivi

I didn't spot you there... were you at Lollapalooza?😉

Check out this lovely profile by Iris

laughing... all you need is to stick a $0.50 bill in the top right corner and put "US Post Office - Republic of Austria" at the bottom.

It’d be hilarious if she lit a torch and played with one hand... while winking at us... laughing.. using "you" like that is just trashy... definitely. 🙂
Kevin Chavez3 said:To you. Where'd an art school dropout get those phrases? 😁

Total clown🙂

Straight out of a comic book, what did you expect? 🙂
Susan Clark10 said:Honestly, it's just a professional habit. 😳 😛

I was being ironic there... yeah, I got you. 😉

🙂
Kevin Chavez3 said:That's not rock and roll at all. 😬

Are you talking to her or me? 🙂

Or maybe someone else who’s just talking trash because they've never even been to NYC? 🙂
Susan Clark10 said:That’s just because you went to Boston and I didn't.

laughing... look at that pure rage 😛

And... did you manage to catch the 'golden hour'? That shot looked pretty professional 😬

Cave was buying toys? That's wild... Can't beat that...

Maybe I should just mention how the Concrete Worms from BG wanted to hit the San Diego Zoo, but it was pouring rain...
Susan Clark10 said:Yeah, on the right. And I didn't mind 😛

😁

Are you 😎

I left my shirt on the stage and spent the whole time worrying someone would spill beer on it... then this girl with the camera showed up and messed up the shot, so I had to peek over her shoulder. I just thought, man, just aim the photo better and get lost, 🙂

Haha, the tie... yeah. She didn't even return it, did she? 🙂

I don't know if you were at Spunk about a year ago... they had a gig under the Staggers Act... the Singer went all out with fake blood during "Jack the Ripper."

The next day, those messy guys went to Getro to shop, and of course, security kicked them out... yeah, right... Austrians in an American mall... sweet revenge, huh? 😉
Susan Clark10 said:I was at the Staggers show—actually, I was standing just inches away from you.😉

Billie was incredible, as usual. Elena’s string snapped, so there was a tiny glitch, but otherwise, it was flawless.

And the Staggers Act guys? They were a blast. You’d never guess an Austrian band could sound that good.😁

Wait, what? Wasn't it that guy on the right constantly taking photos that bothered you?🙂

haha, man, it's a shame I missed seeing Billie's face during those moments.😲

👍 The Staggers really know how to nail a style. Though, if I'm being honest, their original recorded stuff feels a bit... thin.

I actually ran into the Singer by chance in Denver (he was handing out flyers for some 60s party at local bars). That’s how that whole Denver-Chicago connection started, and later on, the San Francisco scene too.

( Staggers, Babies, Billie, my Buddy Moose... etc. )
Susan Clark10 said:.. I couldn't help myself, I had to read the report.. 😎

Anyway, I heard Magnetix might not even perform because their tour supposedly got canceled.. so looks like you didn't miss a thing. Honestly, I'm jealous. 🙂

Is that right? Well... then it was probably a good call to bail after the Meteors...

Were you at the festival? All because of the Staggers Act, right? 🙂

I missed Billie, but word on the street (their own words) is they didn't have much of a night... (unlike in LA)

Care 🙏

Saw you in action down in Key West... good grief. 😁

Like that time you stumbled over your own feet trying to corner that hen while chasing the other one running away from the coop... 🙏

Look, Chavez, you’re honestly one of the most approachable people I’ve met at the office lately...

1 + 1 = 2

Chavez sucks. 👍
Mr. Wrong said:Alex Scott22, did you get that text?

I did.. I was just trying to send you a PM, but it won't go through... I sent an email instead... hopefully it lands soon...

The plan looks solid 🙂

p.s.
My phone has been acting up all weekend... it won't let me send texts.
Sandra Chase16 said:I messed up—Real Kids are definitely going to NP.

Don't just dump them into some half-baked essay about milk cartons.😉
Sandra Chase16 said:You aren't even Poorman😕
Real Kids - Mighty Caesars - I don't believe it.

The Real Things... dammit... did I type that wrong above? Let me go fix it...

They aren't quite that good... I'm not trying to make a direct comparison like that... just saying they were in that same vein, though they probably didn't even realize it themselves... but they were great, regardless...
David Sullivan4 said:You say they're good people. I feel like I've heard that one before.🙂

Tony Saric? 😉

Haha, was I being too politically correct there?

But seriously... Canadians don't even know how to drop an "F-bomb." At least, not while they're on stage.
Frank Howard3?
Cool nickname. What's the best part... I guess it isn't me.. no shit 🙂

I think I finally figured out who that could be..

The Real Things—they started out as kids in their early twenties... from LA and Sézane... I first saw them a year ago when they were just a trio (without a bassist). Back then, they actually sounded like The Mighty Caesars... I know you won't believe me, but it's true. This Saturday was something else entirely. They got high... or rather, they got stoned... No wonder Bill said they sound better now. To me, they sound worse. Like a slowed-down version of Devil Dogs... and personally, I don't find that tense anymore. I’d love to see them on a small stage. 🤔

Hamburg—not my cup of tea... those Turbonegro wannabes from the Midwest... they aren't even close to being "dangerous," and they aren't gay either... nothing real about them... so to me, they felt more like those "look at me, I'm a rebel" types. Whatever. I only added them because they're a decent crew for
a little trouble... just so it doesn't look like I'm being a jerk personally. ☕

Erotic Bill and his Heretics—they learned their lesson. Everyone did. 👍
Mark talked some crap in the van later, but nobody took him seriously 🙄

The Nomads—Garbage. G-a-r-b-a-g-e. Hellsonic and I are honestly disappointed. It's a good thing we didn't buy their latest records before hearing them live. Cliché and routine. They remind me most of Rockset. Which ***** is that 80s garage band? Why do they even play? If The Cynics are trash, this is... this is... ugh. 🙂

The Meteors—It's a shame everything felt watered down and limp by the end... mostly referring to the crowd... It was like even they felt it.. They played a standard set... but with much less heart than last time in Denver. A good experience, regardless... it always leaves me feeling a bit fired up. Not many bands can "move" you.... even if it's in that direction 🙂

Picture 1—A fight broke out during The Meteors' set at the start... some guy rushed the security guards and started hitting them, but they handled him pretty well... he lost his cool and started making threats, like... "what's wrong with you guys, you can't just be that violent"... and there they were, five or six of them, holding him down... hitting him with hands and feet... it looked like those scenes on Discovery where a pack of hyenas tears apart some leftovers. The aftermath? The only person the bouncers kicked out was... you guessed it, that guy... 🤣

Picture 2—Your favorite announcer around 2 AM, discreetly/modestly throwing a flashbulb in the corner of the hall... right by the foosball table. A unique experience.

Picture 3—Matthew from Rochester stumbling around the hall like a zombie, yelling: ''Yeah, rock n' roll! '' The guy looks rejuvenated.. ever since he became a daddy, he's changed 🙏

Picture 4- Mark's face during Hamburg. I have no words. 😵

Picture 5- Drunk, dead, and exhausted... most of our van crew decided to head out before the last band... Magnetix.. whom Hellsonic and I saw in New York City.. shame we missed them... I really regret it now. They're alright.. If anyone stayed, let us know how they were..

How was it at Cool n during that time?
Susan Clark10 said:I just realized I should probably put Alex Scott22 on my ignore list for a few days. I'm tired of reading about how great everything was in Vienna.😈

Humph. I'll deal with that too. Maybe under a new handle.

🙂
stormyviper11 said:Or should I just grab a copy from Dinko?

That sounds like a mission impossible... I still have his CD sitting here... honestly, it's been years... my bad. Everything else he did is on the LP.

Just hit me up sometime and I'll find a way to get it to you.
