Thanks, everyone... the funeral is tomorrow... I need to get ready for that...
My mom's illness has completely shifted my perspective on life—certain things just mean more now. It sounds cliché, I know, but before all this, my life felt kind of hollow. I was constantly getting worked up over trivial nonsense and wasting so much time on things that didn't matter... Now? I can just sit out in the sun with a regular cup of coffee and actually feel happy.
It’s honestly tragic that it takes something like this to finally teach us what actually matters.

For nausea, Zofran was easily the winner...
+It’d probably be a smart move if you can swing getting some kind of immune booster too—my mom used to take native propolis, beta 1,3 glucan (the 500mg stuff), royal jelly, aloe vera, and so on...

Hey everyone... I haven't been around here for a while—mostly because I just didn't have the energy to keep reading through all the bad news.
My mother passed away yesterday after a six-month battle with glioblastoma. To make matters worse, she had already dealt with Stage 3 breast cancer, and then just a month ago, things took a turn for the worse with multiple metastases in her lungs...
Honestly, the stuff I’ve been looking at over the last few days—the kind of things I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy—makes me see her death as a release. Like a beginning rather than an end...
Sadly, I think that's something only people who have walked a similar path can truly understand...
But if there's one silver lining from this short, brutal period, it's seeing who your real friends are. As for our absolute disaster of a healthcare system and everything we had to endure? I could probably write ten pages on that alone... the worst experiences were at the local county hospital (anyone who's been in a similar spot knows exactly what I mean), while the best care was at the new neurosurgery wing at Mount Sinai Hospital...
Mom, I'm certain it's everything we imagined it would be. Enjoy paradise up there...
And give Grandpa a hug for me too.😁

Charles Martin2 said:If what people are saying on the TV forum is actually true—about how they treated some guy back in Denver—then they’re total losers. They completely trashed the spirit of the whole country that was backing them up, and they totally blew it because of it.
Stop whining about stuff you clearly don't understand. If it wasn't for him, they wouldn't have even made it out of the group stage—because let's be real, Nikola Balic wouldn't have been playing...
What kind of ridiculous "shaman" nonsense is this? Seriously, go do some actual research first.

That Linus guy—the one Balic won't even step foot in the locker room with—was the reason back in 2000 when we needed God bless USA handball to wake up. He played a massive part in the huge success we've seen in recent years. Okay, maybe things aren't quite the same now; maybe he’s gotten older, maybe he’s lost his edge, but honestly? To call him a joke, a useless hack, or an idiot... it’s just shameful. Seriously, SHAMEFUL. And I have to say this as someone who shows up to sports twice a year and spends the rest of her time messing with makeup. It's pathetic, really, and I can't believe you or your buddies don't feel disgusted by yourselves.
The second someone fulfills their purpose, everyone's like, "Kick them to the curb and goodbye." At this rate, I expect to hear people calling Misty May Johansson a "moron" too once she's done being useful. Like, fine, just crawl into the deepest hole you can find and stay there.🤮
Bravo... I'm with you on this one.👍

All I ever hear from you is "let's go," "don't let them score," "tighten up," and whatever other mindless garbage—it’s like you’ve got nothing else to contribute.
Exactly!!! That’s what we heard right before the finals, too... and look how that turned out. Honestly, as far as I'm concerned, they can keep talking like that for another three years—as long as we're standing there in the championship game every single time.
You’d honestly be the happiest if we had just lost—anything to help you kill time and give you another excuse to talk trash about Coach Miller. You're pathetic.

2. Nobody is denying his legacy—the guy did what he did—but let's be real: looking at how things stand right now, he just doesn't have anything left to offer this national team.
3. Changing coaches is a completely standard part of sports—I don't see the issue here😕
unless you're all trying to worship him just because of that whole "I am America" ego trip of his.😬
Oh, please... just bury this guy already...👍
To say this after the US made it all the way to the European Championship finals? You are being an absolute clown.👍😂

I’m with you on that—stay away from Tiger... even though I spent a good chunk of my life there, it's basically a coma now... a total joke... honestly, a massive joke... You really only need to look at who's running the beginner sessions to see what's going on. So, if you actually want to learn something, don't bother with Tiger. I'd suggest H.P. or Trenk instead...
Oh, for sure—we’re looking at something more along the lines of Demolition Man or maybe even Judge Dredd😁

The start of this year was a total nightmare for me. First, my dearest one passed away, then Zoe, and then a close friend—all taken by those damn diseases. I spent my time fighting through chemo, dealing with the Social Security Administration, and trying to afford astronomical medication costs. Everything felt pretty bleak, honestly, but I refused to let it break me.
It’s only been four months, yet here I am, living life at a hundred miles an hour—full of optimism, energy, and actual faith in the future.
Cancer actually changed me for the better; it gave me a chance to view existence through a completely different lens. It made me realize that even when things are ugly, they can still be beautiful—because life is incredible, and at the end of the day, we’re all just responsible for our own paths and how we choose to walk them.
My wish for all of you is that you first learn to accept the illnesses of your loved ones. Treat them like they're healthy, and be their rock while they try to find themselves again. If anything, cancer is a shortcut to reaching the core of your being—maybe even a slightly easier way, if I dare say so. Some people make it through that journey, some don't—there are no guarantees—but anyone facing this has been given a special opportunity from God to grow spiritually, and those closest to them can really help facilitate that growth.
That was really beautifully written..🙏
I lost my favorite grandfather recently, and it wasn't until I finally processed that loss that my mom's cancer diagnosis hit me..but I guess that's just how it goes. If I lose my mom, though, I honestly have no idea what I'll do..I don't even want to think about it...
Oh, Ivana, I am so incredibly sorry... I can only imagine what you're going through right now...
I have a feeling I'll be in the exact same boat once my mom finally gets her test results back... just total limbo...
