So what's the deal with Carlos? Heard he hasn't even touched base in forever

Patrick Martin said:If you ask me, based on the tiny bit I actually watched, he wasn't even right for the part anyway ☕

which role are we even talking about here? if Scott hadn't filmed this, you wouldn't even know the character existed, yet here you are, judging the entire casting choice based on a few seconds of a trailer. what a joke.

Both scenarios catch my eye. Guess I’m just a bit of a pessimist ☕

Anyway, Labradors... not really my thing ☕

obviously nothing ☕

Should we actually talk about what went down yesterday, or are we just gonna pull the "nothing to say here" routine again?☕

Yeah, I had the same thought. Then again, would you even be the first one jumping up to get involved?

Whatever, honestly. Better they got it on film just so the company can deal with the massive PR nightmare coming their way.

Is there even 10% of the population out there that actually buys into this crap? What’s the consensus?

Carol Lewis, check out what I found 🤣

brightpilot6, what are you even implying now? 😁

Jeffrey Ruiz3 said:his profile is basically a joke—it’s not even a real pattern. apparently, anyone under 24 or over 16 is considered some kind of "high-risk" profile now, right?

Look, you obviously can't predict if someone’s actually gonna snap, but it does point toward certain behavioral red flags.

And nah, not everyone fits that stereotype. Not everyone wears cheap knockoffs, flips people off in every photo, or drives an old Mercedes-Benz with an eighteen-year-old engine. Besides, even the ones who do all that? They aren't exactly role models. Honestly, none of them are.

I know the guy who got picked up by the cops personally. He was backing some dude up—just because he's one more bottom-feeding cop enthusiast—and he fits the profile perfectly, both online and IRL. I know his history. I know the people he's caused trouble with. I know how much time they've spent behind bars and exactly why.

Obviously, we shouldn't label a kid riding a bike at 15 as a psychopath, nor is it so dire that no minor should ever touch a motorcycle. I'm just saying, from what I've seen, these are the types who'll clock 70 mph through a neighborhood where kids are playing. I personally know two people who grew up with that "lifestyle" and ended up causing massive wreckage. One literally cut a woman in half with reckless driving through a residential area, and the other—after years of terrorizing neighborhoods—ended up killing both themselves and their passenger.

Look, Roby, I don't even follow this kind of stuff. I commented just like everyone else because the news hit hard—partly due to what happened and partly because the media went nuts. Plus, being close to the area, it's hard to ignore.

That’s why I say there isn't much "to discuss" here. People just waste their breath on mindless nonsense. Society shouldn't just turn a blind eye to things like this; if anything, we need to be more aware of our own flaws that end up dragging everyone down.

And just so we're clear, what you quoted wasn't a police statement, it was from the lawyer.

But yeah, I agree, he doesn't seem like your average guy. Sure, everyone has bad moments, but looking at the info out there and those photos Carol Lewis posted—which definitely show a pattern—everything points to him being far from ordinary.

It’s all connected, man. At the end of the day, the commentary always leans that way. The whole universe runs on cause and effect.

Quick question though, have you checked out Drive ? That main character's breakdown at the end?

brightpilot6 said:So what are people actually discussing? They just ask "did you see that?" and shake their heads in disbelief. The media outlets are absolutely flooded with this stuff because, at the end of the day, they're just chasing clicks.

Speculating about some deep-seated external causes feels like nothing more than pure hysteria; are we really expected to believe that every spoiled kid out there is suddenly a potential killer?

Look, ZZ, we don't have to troll every single thing. It’s not like we're playing in some minor league recreational game. 😁

People are actually discussing the case, and it's way more complicated than just "shaking their heads." But whatever. I was just saying there's actually plenty to talk about here.

This is just like when it happened in the VB16: ''Nobody's talking about this except the trolls on Reddit.'' 🤦

The media is full of clickbait garbage, sure, but that doesn't mean people shouldn't have an opinion on this specific situation.

It's not like the media overreacts to everything. If we can all sit around debating what suit Lionel Messi wore to the Golden Ball ceremony, I don't see why we can't talk about an actual event that matters to society.

Speculating about outside causes is just fearmongering. What now, every spoiled brat is a potential killer?

I don't think anyone mentioning "spoiled kids" in cases like this is trying to generalize that much.

Speculating about anything is fearmongering.

Besides, nothing was being said on Offside Chat anyway. I don't know why you jumped straight to that attitude. When I mentioned I hadn't seen any comments on the forum yet, you were basically the first one to start trolling. You could've just stayed quiet if that's how you feel.

you actually know what happened behind the scenes or are you just guessing?

Paul Sanders5 said:I mean, I'll point the finger at his environment, the violent lifestyle, and just pure poverty. But honestly? Nothing a few years of rehab won't fix and turn him into a model citizen. 👍

Look, I’d cut the poverty angle—it clearly wasn't an issue here—but I get the point. Still, it's such a massive mess that nobody's getting a second chance. Doing some damage control now? Sure. But honestly, it's already over.

Another thing? I’d add free, full neurological screenings to the social safety net. Just get them on a schedule every few years—whatever the doctors think makes sense. Science already shows that people dealing with mental health issues have different brain scans and reaction patterns. It's just basic stuff.

I’ll never get it. There’s zero substance here, yet somehow this has been the biggest thing everyone in America has talked about for the last five days.

What kills me is how everyone is suddenly playing the sympathy card for the parents. If this guy had taken out two other people instead, they’d be busy pinning all the blame on them.

Nothing much. Just the same old boring routine over here...

🙂

Idk, feels weird that there's nothing on Reddit, even though the web is absolutely blowing up with comments. People online just love to chime in on everything, especially the messy stuff.

Is there some kind of rule against starting a thread about that killer from the outskirts of Orlando? Haven't seen anyone even mention it yet.
