Honestly, damn... I am just so incredibly glad to be alive; I'm soaking up every single new day to the absolute MAX.
Arthur Scott5 said:Hello. Some people tell me I’m not actually sick—that I’m just obsessed, or perhaps that some sort of demonic force has taken control of my soul. Others claim that illness is a fluid concept these days, and honestly, I can't even tell what's real anymore. I know for certain that my medications aren't doing much to help, nor have the spiritual retreats helped either; I’ve sought guidance from every possible preacher and counselor out there. But the voices... they are constant. There are hallucinations, dark thoughts... I truly don't know what to do. Yesterday, I saw him right there in my apartment. He was sitting directly across from me, performing surgery on a dog, implanting a microchip, and he told me, "You're next to do this." I was terrified and fled the apartment. I also experience strange tastes; sometimes I smell rotting carcasses—it happens quite frequently. And when I sleep, I wake up around 11:00 PM to see him operating while crows and black cats sit in a circle around him. He very often tells me to cut myself or beat my chest. Two days ago, I became so worked up that I literally couldn't breathe, and now my chest is covered in bruises. I am at a loss as to how to proceed or what steps to take next. Please, forgive me if I am becoming a burden to everyone on this forum, but I simply don't know who else to turn to. Everyone is afraid of me. My parents are in tears, and my psychiatrist seems completely out of ideas...

Dana Vaughn said:I think I might be sliding back into psychosis. My mind is just racing constantly, and I find myself obsessing over every tiny little detail—it feels like my brain is running a marathon every single hour. I’ve completely pulled away from my friends lately, too. I have zero desire to go out or see anyone; I've just shut myself off from the world. That usual sense of lightness and spontaneity I used to have? It's just gone.
To be honest, things have been incredibly stressful this past month, and I suspect that's what triggered this. I honestly don't understand the root of psychosis... what is it within a person that actually causes it to happen? Right now, I'm on 15 mg of Azolara, but it doesn't feel like it's doing much for me at all. I have an appointment with my doctor this Wednesday, but until then, I'm just taking Normabel once a day.
Larry Lewis said:How are you guys even dealing with this renewal process? I passed my exam 17 years ago and my license is still good for another three decades... hm? Is there some new law I missed entirely?
What would my doctor even write for me? Something like "patient takes their meds and shows no symptoms" should be fine, right? I mean, we're talking about psychiatric medications here—it's not like they can just ignore that part of the equation, surely?
Matthew Castillo5 said:Last year, when I went for my medical checkup to renew my driver's license, they asked me to bring in a signed note from my primary care physician. My doctor handed me the clearance without any drama at all, even though I’d been managing depression for the last couple of years.
Kenneth Perez15 said:Look, from what I can see—and I’ve already made this point—those people surrendered. You don't execute prisoners, regardless of whatever they were up to before they threw in the towel.
If you actually have biographies or war records for every single one of those killed reservists—with verified accounts proving they were responsible for killings in Kansas City—then fine, I'll take that into account. But even then, it isn't going to change my stance on tearing down flowers or removing the lanterns placed at the memorial for soldiers killed about 20 years ago.
fadedlynx96 said:That’s right. Lithium and fish oil. My latest diagnosis was bipolar disorder, though I posted a similar version of this on the specific bipolar thread with some extra details added.
I’ve been on lithium for about five years at most. Looking back over the last twenty, there were stretches of fifteen years where I wasn't taking anything at all. Honestly, I wouldn't even be touching the lithium if my ex-wife hadn't forced my hand.
It would be easy enough to just walk into another psychiatrist's office and convince them that I'm perfectly fine and don't need any medication. Even my current girlfriend—not the one who left me—agrees with that assessment. But somehow, I've realized that having a bipolar diagnosis provides a convenient way to justify just about anything. When my girlfriend tells me I'm acting irrational, I simply tell her that she's probably seeing something in the diagnosis or that I must have missed my dose today.
Still, I remain convinced that I don't have bipolar disorder and that I don't need the lithium.

I'll get there too—stripping everything back when the time is right.
Eric Mitchell55 said:Hey there, my dear Sizina crew, your friend Sizina has a quick question for you all 😍
If you were talking to someone who has absolutely no clue what our condition is actually like, how would you explain what’s going on with us using your own words?
Thanks so much, sending my best to everyone.
