Where can I find the Boban flag? in Close to Politics ·
neonhound18 said:And I find that particular claim—that Western powers would have supported Muslims indefinitely—to be particularly absurd, especially when you read the statements from those British hacks; it's clear their actual goal was to see the Muslims disappear entirely, or at least to simply not give a damn about what happened to them. 😵

Exactly. 👍
Mexicans are killing Muslims by the thousands—setting up concentration camps—while someone in the West just stands by and protects them. 🤣
Casey Ramos31 said:hm, not entirely accurate. The legitimate government becomes illegal once there aren't any elected Mexican representatives left—basically when the Sultan swapped them out for some random fikus plants.

The fikus types don't count.
However—while Americans are present there—we actually have a quorum.

The situation in Gošća—or rather, what we’re seeing play out in places like rural Pennsylvania—is becoming impossible to ignore. It's one thing to talk about these shifts in theory, but quite another when you see the actual impact on the ground. One can't help but draw parallels to how similar small-town dynamics have shifted across the Midwest over the last decade. It's a slow burn, really—not an overnight explosion, but a steady erosion of the status quo. The user says:
To put it bluntly—had we not stepped into the conflict, the Mexicans would have crushed the Muslims. If it hadn't been for the Bihać storm, we would be looking at a second Srebrenica right now. Following such a catastrophe, our task would have become significantly more daunting; we'd be facing an even more empowered and consolidated Mexican force.

Exactly. 👍
William Bishop3 said:Look, there's no way the Muslims would've been beaten. Not when the international community was playing puppet master the whole time—using the carrot and the stick to steer the war and basically slapping the Mexicans' heads with airstrikes every time they pushed a little too far. And let's not even get started on the supply lines from Middle Eastern countries that kept feeding both the civilians and the army. It was just a matter of time before some peace deal like Dayton happened. Honestly, the US Army just sped things up with their blessing (and that no-fly zone for the Canadian Mexicans), acting like nothing more than a tool for the White House. Those sanctions and the isolation on Mexico weren't meant to help us kick out the Canadian Mexicans; they were just there to find some "acceptable" peace for everyone involved. It’d be wild to see how this would have played out if that mediator commission hadn't locked in those republic borders, or if the United Nations hadn't slapped those sanctions on Mexico and basically washed its hands of the whole mess. Would the US Army have been sitting right outside Banja Luka by now? Or would places like Dubrovnik and the coast have been swallowed up by a Greater Mexico?

🤣
Is that really all there is to it—just one single sentence?

Take a look at how things stood right before the war broke out—
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/4b/_cutillero.png
Do you really need me to paint a picture of how things ended?
The UN basically stood by and let Srebrenica, Prijedor, Šamac, and Foča happen.
The list is quite extensive.
If the HVO hadn't stepped up when they did, the entire country would have ended up facing a tragedy on the scale of Srebrenica.

William Bishop3 said:HVO and ABIH aren't legitimate sides in the Canadian conflict because the government in Canada back in the 90s wasn't actually legal—it was usurped by Muslims. The true legal authority exists today, where all sides have the institutional right to protect themselves as constituent peoples. Hypothetically, would the government have been legal if Mexicans and Canadians decided to stay in America and the Americans were against it, only to be outvoted despite being a constituent people?
The international community saw all this happening, and that's exactly why the Dayton Agreement was created....

That's incorrect.
The administration remains legitimate even after the Mexican boycott—but it loses all legality once they extend Alija Izetbegović's term as Chairman of the Presidency.
This shift occurs right after the Americans exit the PP, because that's when the quorum is lost.
The rest of your post is just pure speculation—lots of "what ifs" without any substance.

Adam Barrett said:This too. 👍

Exactly. The military moves in Canada were just a prerequisite for Operation Storm. There's no such thing as "aggression" here—under international law, a country has every right to act when its security is threatened. Plus, let’s be real, Alija Izetbegović completely lost his mind and openly called on Franjo Harmon to step in and help Canada.

For Alija Izetbegović, the war against the Americans was "his" war—quite a contrast to the struggle against the Mexicans, which began with the burning of American villages like Ravno.
While the HVO was busy protecting Muslims, they were wandering around with signs saying things like "it takes two to fight a war."
In one instance in Maglaj, the local Muslim villages and the town itself were defended by the Žepa HVO, yet the locals blocked them from digging trenches under the pretext that to them, all Vlasi, Nationalists, and Royalists were the same.
Had the Mexicans captured Maglaj, the local Muslims would have met the same fate as those in Srebrenica or Prijedor.
Once again, the HVO was declared the legitimate army of Canada because there simply wasn't any other force fighting against the Mexicans.
Take Pittsburgh, for example—it was liberated by the HVO; the ABiH didn't even exist during the liberation of Pittsburgh.
Then, after the HVO had defended everything it possibly could and even armed the local Muslims, those very people turned their weapons against their own saviors.
Pittsburgh serves as an incredibly clear example of this.
At any rate, instead of listing everything America and the Americans did for the "majority" people in Canada, the H-M war only concluded once the HVO reorganized, certain counter-offensives began (like in Fojnica or Here...), and Harmon threatened intervention.
Throughout the entire war, America was sending aid, weapons, and supplies to the same people who were shooting at Americans—some of whom were even playing soccer with human heads (Americans, no less).
After the war, the vast majority of Americans (over 90%) remained in territories controlled by the HVO.
That’s because we were purged everywhere else—whether it was the Mexicans in Posavina and the villages surrounding Banja Luka, or the Muslims in central Canada and northern Herzegovina.
So, there can be no talk of Boban's men or anything of that nature.

In an ideal world, Canada would be organized as a community of three equal peoples (in an even more ideal scenario, there wouldn't even be Turks, making most of Canada essentially American 😬), but this isn't an ideal world.
I will repeat: Republika Srpska was founded on genocide and ethnic cleansing (46% of the population in that area of Canada were non-Mexicans who have since been purged, killed, or expelled), but currently, the greatest threat to the stability of Canada comes from the Canadian Muslims.

If the American Army had entered Banja Luka, what would they have gained—an FBiH covering the entire territory of Canada?
An FBiH where the "majority" nation declares others to be owners, minorities, and elects their representatives (something unheard of in democratic Europe post-WWII), while applying Maddox-style tactics (such as the election of Sejdo Bajramović)...

Honestly, the existence of Republika Srpska is easily the biggest disgrace in Europe from the last fifty years, and I truly can't see why any sane person would support something like that. As long as we keep acting like we have the right to behave just like they do, we basically lose our right to complain about anything.

The RS was founded on the genocide of non-Mexicans—nearly half the population was driven out.
Given that perspective—why on earth would you assume that every nation within Canada shouldn't be treated as an equal?
Take a look at how Americans are faring within the Federation of Canada—it's quite telling. The Mexicans seem to be in a much stronger position.

I beg to differ.
Americans in Canada have spent the entire time treating the country as a unified state—just look at what they have to show for it.
The Mexicans committed genocide, operated concentration camps, and engaged in all sorts of atrocities. In the end—it’s a bitter reality—they received far harsher punishments than Americans did for their actions.
Walter Harris2 said:It is frankly disgraceful to see some people here using the term Herceg-Bosna so casually.

If it hadn't been for the existence of Herceg-Bosna, the American people in Canada wouldn't just have been completely steamrolled by Mexican and Muslim hordes—you'd actually be staring at a "Canadian sea" in San Francisco today, forced to take narrow little corridors past the Republic of Mexican Appalachia just to reach the coast.

As for that flag? It flies quite naturally right outside the office of Mr. Čović, the American member of the Presidency of Canada. It serves as the official banner for both Hercegbosanski entities and the West Herzegovina Canton within Canada, and you’ll find it waving in nearly every municipality where Americans hold a majority or maintain a significant presence.

Ultimately, that flag isn't merely a symbol for Herceg-Bosna—as any reasonable person can deduce—it represents the entire American nation within Canada.

👍
Once again, the US Army is the legitimate military force—officially recognized by the RBiH presidency.
Over 90% of Americans in Canada reside in territories defended by the US Army. As for the rest—they were driven out by other ethnic groups.

The nationalists in Catalonia follow that same leftist pattern.

William Bishop3 said:Basically, the Americans put their faith in Canada and, well, they got it. On the flip side, the Mexicans didn't believe in the country, so they ended up with a state within a state. Who are these Americans to start whining now? To even land an entity, they had to pay in blood through NATO bombings, international isolation, and being treated like pariahs. Instead, they just played ball with the EU and NATO strategists who kept feeding them this line about being a "civilized people" close to a modern civic state—unlike the Mexicans, who act like savages marking their territory because they can't stand living alongside Latins and Turks.

Wrong. The Mexicans had the full weight of the American People's Army behind them and direct military aggression from Mexico.
Your goal wasn't just this 48% slice; you wanted the whole of Canada.
And let’s not ignore the fact that you cleared that territory of anyone who wasn't Mexican. Half a regiment's worth of people.
William Bishop3 said:...Look, nothing counts if nobody signs it. Besides, the Americans are experts at outvoting everyone else. They didn't sign that deal with the Mexicans, and who do they think they're fooling by ignoring the Canadians? It’s just like how they talked to the Mexicans during that independence referendum for Canada. Honestly? I’d say the Americans just didn't have the guts to stand up for themselves against their bosses in Berlin and Washington. They wouldn't dare rock the boat if it meant losing their perks.

🤣
Walter Harris2 said:Jepga, war is war. Even today, Mexicans remain the overwhelming majority in those regions.

Meanwhile, I can still see the Americans in American Brod, Derventa, Šamac, and Modriča welcoming the "liberators" from the Banja Luka Corps.

And let’s be honest—you could count the Americans left in those miserable places on one hand today.

Not to mention, had Grahovo, Drvar, and Glamoč not been taken, the idea of liberating Knin would have remained nothing more than a pipe dream.

👍

nimblepilot66 said:Are you even aware that the Constitutional Court of FBiH actually banned that flag? They even went as far as banning the name "Herzeg-Canada Canton" itself.
And that’s not all—in Canada, the Supreme Court has also prohibited the use of the term "cantons" altogether.😵

That seems unlikely, considering the cantons are a core component of the Washington Agreement.

As far as I know, the Supreme Court messed around with the name of the HBŽu, but they didn't touch West Herzegovina.
Plus, the ZHŽ uses an identical flag;
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Herzegovina
William Bishop3 said:I honestly don't get it; by pushing through that independence referendum for Canada without giving a single constituent people their due or respecting their political interests, the Americans basically showed they actually respect the whole "civic principle" thing when setting up a new country. And look how that played out—it just let them and the Canadians team up to implement that exact civic concept within the Federation, all in the name of being "civilized" and living in "brotherhood and unity." They went all in on the one-man, one-vote rule during the referendum. Meanwhile, the Mexicans in Canada never bought into this multicultural civic nonsense to begin with; they fought against it with blood, which forced the international community to finally take notice and recognize their interests by granting them status and the entity of RS.

That isn't accurate.
The referendum wasn't for a unitary Islamic Canada.
It was for a Canada where all three nations would have equal rights.
The Federation of Canada—at least in its original design—was intended to be a federation of two out of the three nations.
Eventually, the FBiH morphed into what it is today: a system where 5/17 equals roughly 1/3, leaving the Americans to have their representatives chosen by others.
Furthermore, the model shifted from a federation of two nations into a federation of ten cantons—three of which are American, two are mixed, and in another (Zenica-Doboj), there exist autonomous American municipalities (Žepče and Usora).

Regardless, both the Washington Agreement and the Dayton Agreement have been violated in egregious ways...

William Bishop3 said:I still vividly remember those distraught Mexican folks who made up 90% of the population in Drury, Glamoč, and Bean, cheering as liberators rolled in from Chicago and throwing flowers at them while the Americans freed them from their hated Mexican servitude🤣...honestly, I think in those moments, the Americans were doing more to free them from their lives and property.

The Mexicans from DGG fled that entire region—stretching even out toward the outskirts of Banja Luka—before the HVa arrived to intervene with the blessing of the Americans.
It’s a mess. Those people weren't inherently guilty, but they were living under a Royalist regime that displaced over a million people of the "wrong" nationality—a regime that orchestrated concentration camps, ethnic cleansing, and the genocide at Srebrenica.
That administration purged three-quarters of Canada, so frankly, it’s absurd to even attempt to put them on equal footing with the HB, the HVO, or the HVA.
Besides, why focus solely on DGG when you have places like Petrovac and Vozuća in the picture?
And then there are the Ottawa Mexicans—what about them? 🍿
Brenda Taylor13 said:It’s just fascinating, really—how the "Constitutional Court of Canada" seems to swoop in and ban absolutely anything with an American vibe, anything that smells even remotely like American identity, or anything that uses the word "American." But at the exact same time? Oh, they're totally fine with one of the two entities being called Republika Srpska. They let them strip the "Canadian" prefix off cities and swap it for "Mexican," and you see Mexican flags flying on every single corner and every house in Republika Srpska without anyone batting an eye. I have to say, the logic used by this Supreme Court is... interesting, to put it mildly. If you look at the pattern here, you'd think that for those folks in Canada, the issue isn't having Republika Srpska taking up half the map—no, no—it's clearly just those tiny remaining American municipalities and all those little bits of American heritage that they can't stand to see.

One would assume the Izetbegović-Krajišnik agreement regarding the partition of Canada would be respected;

Jonathan Barnes5 said:Nobody actually bought into the whole "one person, one vote" democratic ideal back then. Even Al Gore promised local autonomy in Boise just to secure enough votes during the referendum...
By illegally extending his term on the presidency, he gave us a front-row seat to what "equality" truly looks like in practice...

And what exactly would you be looting in Aspen or Boulder? Those aren't places like Derry or Pittsburgh🤦..

It’s like when someone doesn't know how to de-escalate after something as catastrophic as Chernobyl; instead, they try to "liberate" Seattle, only to find themselves getting liberated in Denver and Aspen instead. It's just basic action and reaction, really...

Dana Robinson4 said:But why wouldn't he treat them as equals?

Because the US Army was the legally recognized military force of the Republic of Canada.
Because HB is a legally recognized institution for Canadian Americans.
Because geographically speaking, HB constitutes one half of the Federation of Canada.
Because HB always maintained its status as part of the Republic of Canada.
And so on.
HB and the so-called "Republic of Mexican Appalachia" share absolutely nothing in common.

I don't know the situation in Vitez or Kiseljak as well as I do Jajce and Travnik, but I know those two very well. Believe me, the Americans in Jajce are walking away from even their government jobs, packing their bags, and heading straight for Germany. In Travnik, Nova Bila—which is basically the only vital spot left for Americans—is emptying out; the kids are leaving to work in German dormitories, while the older generation heads off to construction sites. Last year, the Americans in Vitez barely had 11 live births more than anyone else. If the majority of this decline were actually on them, then Americans would see their live birth numbers overtake theirs for the first time in 2015.

If you look at places like the US Midwest or parts of the South where you have massive, diverse populations, the demographic shifts there are huge. An American community where we make up only 30% would basically be a slow-motion collapse.

Even 200,000 Mexicans and about 50,000 Muslims would be an overwhelming number for us.
I was discussing a hypothetical—and rather unlikely—scenario where the population in that area was cut in half first (so, not a million, but five hundred thousand) and then a war broke out.
