Yeah, Ketoral is amazing. I was taking the Forte strength—because, let’s be real, the weak stuff didn't even touch my pain—and I'd just pop one a day (maybe two if needed, but never more than that; one in the morning, one at night) and I'd be good. Honestly, it hurt so much more when I was throwing myself around, screaming, yelling, and tensing up like that. Within half an hour to an hour, you start feeling the Ketoral kick in.
By the way, I realized it's actually easier, like, there's less pain if I just sit in my gaming chair with my legs together and play some video games or something to distract myself from the ache. It hurts way more when I'm lying down and tensing up.
So, I started taking Celebrex two days ago, and honestly, nothing hurts anymore. Not my ovaries, not my uterus, not even my stomach. It’s just not like how it used to be. For the first month, I didn't even have to rely on Ketorol Forte.😍
Ever since 3D first hit the scene—even back when we were stuck with those flimsy paper glasses, through the days of the old local multiplexes and even the better AMC theaters—I’ve never had any issues. It fits right over your prescription glasses and you're good to go.
I know some people don't want to hear about birth control, but I am definitely going to ask about it. My mom is totally on board; she’s taking me to see my gynecologist, and she even mentioned how her periods only last three or four days now—even though she used to deal with the exact same stuff I do. I know everyone is obsessed with low-hormone pills these days, but honestly, as far as I'm concerned, I don't care if they have more hormones, as long as they actually work. I feel like garbage every single day from everything else—food, drinks, you name it—so why wouldn't I do something to make my life easier?
And the doctor? He’s just being a doctor. I don't believe him when he says I shouldn't be relying on Ketorolac at sixteen because nothing else seems to help. First, he asked if I wanted to try the weaker ones in capsule form, and I was just like, "No. Give me the Forte. The blue tablets." He gave me this look like my stomach was going to dissolve by tomorrow morning. As for Ibuprofen packets, he told me I should only take half a dose—like 300mg instead of 600mg—since what's the harm in staying low? I basically threw five bucks down the drain for that advice. -.-
Joining the club. Even though I'm only 16, the pain I deal with the day before my period, and then on the first or second day, is just unbearable. Sometimes I actually wake up in the middle of the night screaming because it hurts so bad, and nothing seems to touch it. Taking Ketoral Forte only helps for maybe six or seven hours before I have to take it all over again. But now that it requires a prescription, of course, I can't get a hold of it. If I tell the doctor it's for Mom, he knows she isn't allowed to take it, and if I say it's for Dad, he's banned from it too—same for Grandma and Grandpa. And since I'm just a kid, he won't give it to me because he says it'll wreck my stomach. Good grief, what am I supposed to do when stuff like Nuofen or Voltaren doesn't even work? He gave me these Ibuprofen packets that clearly don't do anything at all -.-'
So, I took some Ketoral about an hour and a half ago (usually the pain subsides within an hour), but it still hurts. It's also really heavy right now; I feel like I'm bleeding everywhere. It’s hard to even sit down on the toilet; that’s when the pelvic pain is at its worst. I'll probably wake up tomorrow morning with my bed covered in blood like I've been ripped apart, but I guess I'm used to it by now.
I'm really hoping that once I start birth control, things will calm down and the pain will ease up. Until then, I just have to suck it up. Luckily I haven't fainted yet, but the sweating, the hot flashes, being pale, losing my appetite, nausea, dizziness... yeah. I've got it all.
15. I'll see how my doctor's schedule looks today and head over once he's finished up.. Assuming he hasn't taken any vacation time. And thanks to everyone for the advice!
I told my mom I wanted her to take me in, but she just thinks I'm being obsessive and says it'll all blow over on its own. Now you guys have me genuinely spooked with this talk about brain tumors. @urbanranger18/">@@urbanranger18 I'm eating roughly the same amount of food, or at least something close to it. Maybe I'm cutting back on fat by a tiny margin, but I doubt it's making any difference.
First off, thanks to everyone for the advice. I don't smoke and I never have. I haven't actually seen a doctor about this, aside from getting some bloodwork done which came back perfect. Everything was right within the normal range. It feels kind of silly to go to my physician just to tell them I've been sensitive to salt—aside from what's in junk food—for the last year. I figure there isn't much they can even do since my blood results look fine.
First off, my apologies to the moderators if this belongs in a different subforum.
So, here's the deal.
Over the last six months to a year, food just hasn't tasted the same. Everything I eat feels incredibly oversalted, even when I’m using the exact same amount of salt and spices I always have. Every single meal starts and ends with me saying, "This is way too salty, cut back on the salt." There was even one instance where there was virtually no salt at all, yet I still somehow sensed it and complained it was too salty. I actually thought something was wrong with my bloodwork, so I went in for tests—but everything came back perfect. The moment there's even a hint of salt, I can't eat; I just can't stomach that much sodium. I wouldn't be posting this if it had always been like this, but it’s a recent development and it’s constant. Here's the weird part: junk food, like McDonald's or a greasy burger, doesn't feel salty at all, even though they must pack it with more salt than a home-cooked lunch. I can scarf down five burgers without an issue, but when it comes to home-cooked meals, everything tastes overdone. Is anyone else dealing with this, and how are you handling it? I'm losing my mind here and don't know what to do.
I wasn't even thinking about doing it right now; I'm waiting at least four more years. Most people say it looks fine, but I just don't feel comfortable with him. It honestly bothers me... And of course, you know how people can be, making snide comments just to provoke someone about their nose...
Honestly, would you guys go through with nose surgery if you were in my shoes? I'm only 14, and I'm incredibly self-conscious about nothing but my nose. When I talk, the tip of my nose actually moves. o.O I don't even know how to describe it. http://it.tinypic.com/r/2mzm64l/6 That bump is driving me absolutely crazy.
Eric Jackson43 said:Don't sweat it too much, though you’ll probably have to eat plenty of "spinach" first—meaning you'll be grinding through endless drills before any coach even looks at you twice, let alone lets you spar or take a hit. Honestly, there's a pretty good chance you'll be the one begging for some live rounds the second the instructor turns their back. 😉

Benjamin Robinson3, what about Tae Bo? Or maybe a kickboxing club that does something similar to that old-school aerobic kickboxing? Or even Capoeira? It’s less focused on combat and more on rhythm, dance, and acrobatics. It isn't easy, but then again, it isn't quite as intense either...
Pass on the Capoeira, thanks—that's just not my thing.. I'll try out a kickboxing gym first, and if I don't like it, I might give Tae Bo a shot. Thanks for the suggestion!
