My work computer has an original version of Office 2007 installed, but it’s set to Slovak.🤣 Naturally, I want to switch it over to English, but I can't get it to work.
I've already adjusted all the regional settings and everything else seems fine, but when I try to change Office, I keep getting this "limited support" error:


I'm logged in as Administrator and have full access to everything.

Would it help to buy the English Language pack (though I think it might already be installed, so that shouldn't be the issue), or should I just uninstall Office and try to install English trial versions? My only concern is whether the original serial number will still work if I go that route.🤷

If neither works, there's likely some kind of conflict between the laptop and the drive. Based on what you described, the drive is blocking the laptop's POST process. Try a different flash drive if those steps don't help.

Thanks a lot, but unfortunately, none of that worked... I'll try a different drive tomorrow if I can pick one up.

Everything works fine when the USB isn't plugged in, but as soon as I pop it in, the system just hangs on the startup screen. It gets stuck right where it asks if I want to enter the BIOS or change the boot sequence.

One more thing... the program is great. It handles the installation on my Kingston DataTraveler 4 perfectly, but my Toshiba nb100 won't boot from it🤷...just for comparison, it works fine on my "big" laptop...could the drive capacity be too high? Is that even possible?

Thanks for the reply. I think I'll just go with a clean Windows XP install. I really don't feel like making a bootable USB, but I guess I have no choice... can you actually install Windows XP from a USB drive?

Not sure if I should post this here or in the laptop section, so sorry if I'm in the wrong spot.

I've got a Toshiba NB100 (Atom 1.6, 1GB RAM, 120GB Hard Disk Drive, etc.) running Windows XP Home. It's running pretty slow, so I was thinking about upgrading to Windows 7 since I can just install it from a disc instead of messing around with a bootable USB.
Does anyone have this exact setup, or something similar with a netbook and Windows 7, that actually works okay?

Try reinstalling that driver again.

Whoops, I didn't actually look that up yet... I'll check when I get home. Haven't even tried the reader, so maybe that really is it. Thanks.

That's exactly what I did right after installing. I just grabbed the Windows 7 drivers they offered and installed them...

So, I'm working on a Dell Latitude running Windows 7 Professional with a student license. I've managed to get all the drivers installed except for these:



Any idea how I can figure out what's missing?

One more thing—this might be a rookie mistake, but... I was using Outlook Express and made some .dbx backup files. My plan was to import them into Mail once I download it from Microsoft Essentials on Windows 7, but I keep getting an error and it won't let me download it😢... Is there any other way to get Mail for Windows 7?
I'd rather just switch over to Outlook, but I've got those .dbx backups stuck there...

Maybe I'm just missing something obvious, but I can't figure this out. How do I start page numbering at 1, but specifically starting on the THIRD page?😠
I managed to get the numbers to start as 1, 2, 3... on the third page, but the first two pages still show 1 and 2. It's driving me crazy.😲

Anyone know where I can find Microsoft Maps (even an older version)?
I had to wipe my work computer😁, so now I'm stuck without it. It was already installed, but I don't have the disc anymore😠 . And I really need it!
Does anyone have a link where I can download it? I tried Googling, but everything just points to sites trying to sell it. I'm looking for a trial version so I can just get by🙂
