So, looking at the numbers... they're trash? Nice. ☕

Believe it or not, we aren't some single, unified block where everyone agrees on everything instantly. We argue, we talk things out, we throw arguments back and forth... sometimes we're actually being civil about it, and other times, well, we're not.

So when it comes to the numbers, they're garbage then? Nice.☕

I didn't say that.

granitefox16 said:Your buddy ZgSash was the one bringing up closing it, so I'm asking if it even matters or not.

And it’s not just about the fans, it's about the entire soccer scene...

And obviously, I never said the forum revolves around fans, but you're clearly just trolling at this point.

You gotta go ask him, I'm not ZgSash.

And obviously, I never said this whole forum was just about the fans, but you already know that—you're just trolling a little bit.

Sure, you just cherry-picked exactly what you wanted from my post and ignored everything else—especially the part where I was actually talking about how the admins handle this subforum.

Matthew Anderson4 said:The view counts in the 'read count' row.

Honestly, those numbers don't really reflect what's actually happening on the ground. They’re more like rough guesses at best, and honestly, they're super easy to mess up if you aren't careful. You can't just take them at face value. What actually matters is what the pros are saying, and the experts are pointing out that the fan base is sitting pretty low on the forum attendance rankings.

rustyangler16 said:ZgSash's insinuation:

The hijacking tactics and mass thread-snatching won't fly, and hopefully we won't have to shut down the soccer subforum too.

Look, you’re gonna have to go ask him yourself. Seriously. But yeah, we aren't planning on shutting things down right now. soccer.

Can I ask where you're getting that info? You got some actual professional stats to back that up?

the numbers don't lie🙂

What numbers though? Who actually crunched them?

granitefox16 said:Alright, thanks for the reply.🙂

Is that what Anderlon thinks too?...

I wouldn't know, you'd have to ask him yourself.

And maybe try reading and quoting the whole response next time?

Look, this entire forum doesn't just revolve around Fans. They aren't even more important than some of the way busier subforums that bring in way more unique users to the site than Fans ever will.

Anyway, who was even talking about shutting down that subforum? I have zero clue what you guys are on about.

Michelle Palmer6 said:Exactly! That’s why the Bad Boys thread has racked up over 2,500,000 views!

Whatever. Honestly, who cares.

granitefox16 said:The daily view count on the soccer/fans subforum is bottom-tier, yet the number of people online is peaking... damn, that’s statistically the wildest thing in this forum's history.
Never seen anything like it on any other board, but hey, there it is

Whatever, I guess you guys just don't give a damn about the soccer/fans section?

Too bad for you, but the fans section isn't even close to being as popular as some of the other subforums. Gemius doesn't lie. 🙂

Doesn't matter, does that mean you guys don't care about the soccer/fans subforum?

It’s not like we’re obsessed, but it’s not like it’s irrelevant either.

rustyangler16 said:😕

this is just, how do I put this, impossible 🙂

Can I ask where you're getting that from? You got some kind of high-end, professional stats to back that up?
Protests in Warsaw. in Feedback & Suggestions ·
granitefox16 said:Exactly. Bottom of the barrel for readership, yet for the last 4 or 5 months, the NFL/fans subforum has had more people online than anything else. So yeah, "bottom of the barrel"... probably just because it was only opened two years ago.

So what, you and your buddy hollowtrucker77 gonna tell me that subforum doesn't matter?
I see someone's out here threatening to shut things down too...

Nah, its daily average read count is what's actually bottoming out.

jadefalcon10 said:Look, I’m just gonna say it—I’m asking the forum mods to quit being so hypocritical and two-faced. It’s honestly kind of ridiculous. If we’re following the exact same rulebook used to ban those "users" over on the sports subforum, then it’s only fair that the guy who started this whole thread gets the boot too. You can't have one set of rules for them and a different set for him. Just be consistent, man.
I honestly don't get it—how come nobody was handing out bans back when fans were getting hit with the exact same stuff? It makes zero sense. And don't even get me started on why the trolls, the burner accounts, the insults, and the constant belittling weren't being slapped with red cards and kicked out of the forum back then. Look, at the end of the day, people's lives and the rights of the fans matter just as much as anything else. My parents, my teachers, even my professors always drilled it into my head that we’re all on a level playing field and everyone deserves the same treatment. But man, the older I get, the more I realize that some people definitely act like they're "more equal" than the rest of us.

So, if Mukte Kavga actually got banned just for calling out all the hypocrisy and double standards running wild on this board—especially with how some of the admins act—then we’ve gotta be consistent, right? By that same logic, Adler needs to catch a ban too. Honestly, looking at what Adler posted, it reads like straight-up flaming and trolling, which is totally against the rules here anyway. Just saying.

Man, talk about being fake. Just total BS.

Basically, "flejmanje" is just a fancy way of saying you're picking a fight online. It’s when someone goes out of their way to write something totally toxic or just straight-up insulting to start an argument. Like, instead of just having a normal conversation, they decide to drop some nasty comment just to get under your skin. It’s all about that unnecessary drama.

just trolling, man.

So, trolling... basically, it’s when someone goes out of their way to poke at you just to get a rise out of you. It's all about baiting people into those long, angry flame wars where everyone starts losing their cool. Honestly, most folks around here agree that kind of behavior is just total trash and nobody wants anything to do with it.

So, I was just looking over the definitions for "flaming" and "trolling" in our FAQ. Honestly? If we’re actually going by those rules, pretty much every single thread in the politics section—and half the other stuff on this wonderful, totally unbiased forum—is basically just one big flame war or a troll fest. It’s kind of wild when you think about it. If the mods are actually gonna follow their own playbook, then it's time to start handing out warnings and bans across the board, not just picking and choosing who gets hit. It should be fair for everyone. And hey, if we’re being super technical, even this little rant of mine probably fits right into your definition of trolling too. Just saying.

hollowtrucker77
Man, Mukte... honestly, they should know better than this. It’s like when a group of people all start moving in the same direction, just flowing together like a single current, and you'd think someone in charge would have a better handle on things. You'd expect more foresight, you know?
Man, even elementary school kids wouldn't swallow that kind of demagoguery—and I'm talking about the kids who aren't exactly the brightest bulbs in the box.

Hey, listen, since I've actually got your undivided attention for a second... does it ever get old? You know, forcing things through sheer willpower, trying to bulldoze through the crowd, only to turn around later and act all surprised—or worse, start whining like nothing happened? It gets exhausting after a while, doesn't it?
Since you can snoop around the forums, you’ve probably noticed how people get themselves all worked up over politics or even just some random thread lately. Honestly, it’s wild seeing folks run around with such... let's call them "distinctive" opinions. It's like everyone's convinced they're the only ones holding the manual for how reality works.
Maybe I'm wrong... but maybe there's something else going on here that we're just totally missing.

Classic move right there. This is just textbook behavior—using pure demagoguery to call out Mukte for being a demagogue while doing the exact same thing himself. It’s honestly a bit dizzying. I’m sitting here feeling pretty confused, though. Are the mods, admins, and super-admins actually allowed to get personal? Like, can they just insult people, belittle them, flame, or troll whenever they feel like it? Or am I just totally out of the loop on some secret set of rules that only applies to the higher-ups? Because based on how things are being defined around here, this guy—and a few others in admin—are pulling stunts that would get any regular user banned in a heartbeat.

My question is pretty straightforward. Does the same rulebook apply to everyone on this forum? Like, are we all playing on a level field, or are some people just "more equal" than others?

Mukte Kavga

is going to shut down your most popular PDF—the Fans thread.
Just one quick side note—that is nowhere near the truth.

What part isn't true exactly? Is it that the Fans thread isn't actually the most read, or is it that they aren't actually shutting it down?

Look, I really hope nobody takes this as some kind of attack on "Admin" or the "forum hierarchy." I just want us to have a real, honest conversation about the issues here. Burying our heads in the sand isn't going to fix anything, and I've been circling this question for a while now: Are we all treated the same, or are there favorites in the mix?

Thanks in advance!

It's not true that it's the most read. It's actually pretty much at the bottom of the list when it comes to traffic.

Look, I was just asking for some admin backup, you know? Something that could tell me if I'm being Paranoidan or if there's actually something going on.

You're Paranoidan and there's nothing there😁. Actually, let's be more precise—there's nothing left. The situation is handled. Some crap went down while none of the mods were online, but it's all good now.
Should Dr. Vito's partial ban from Politics be lifted? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Eric Collins5 said:if they even bother looking into lifting partial bans at all.

Not really right now. Honestly, Vito being kicked off the New York Times was totally justified and he isn't coming back anytime soon, so this whole thread is kind of a waste of time, but yeah, we'll keep it on the radar.
Unbelievable! in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Vito, enough is enough. One more slip-up and you're getting banned from the FBI.
That's Chuck! in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Whoa, easy there if you don't want a partial ban from the New York Times forums.

And yeah, the mods pretty much feel like a partial ban from the NYT is totally justified.
BAN APPEAL! in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Nah, not gonna happen. Just log out, and if you feel like coming back later, it's easy enough to just log in again.

Why was this thread locked? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
So, this thread was locked for a bit while we figured out if we should just leave it here on Pets or move the whole thing over to Alternative. For now, it’s staying right here on KLJ, though we might toss it over to Alternative down the road depending on how much people actually end up talking about it.

Amanda Booth42 said:So basically, you're saying content from that site is an issue.

Totally. You can't go around advertising commercial stuff here.

If you want to stick a link like that in your signature, you gotta talk to marketing.

Done deal.

Look, don't play dumb because we both know you aren't. Neither are we.

No, you can't just start a thread on the main forum, and that's that. Final answer.
What happened? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
It’s basically the same deal as what I laid out over here. Seriously though, please don't make us revoke access to the off-topic boards or the lounge. Nobody actually wants that to happen.
Hey everyone, Quick question... in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Manny Pacquiao, you remember my offer? Let me refresh your memory real quick:

mellowraven22 said:Look, just leave the forum. And I mean it, seriously—no making burner accounts, no sneaky posts under different names.

Hit me up in a year—basically by Christmas 2010.

And then, if you actually stay away from the site until then, we can even talk about whether unbanning you is a thing. I’m not promising anything, obviously. I don't speak for the site admins, I don't have the power to just lift bans myself, and honestly, I don't even want to. What I can say is, if you really stay gone until then, I'll put in a good word for you.

But listen, if you drop even one single post between now and December 25th, 2010, using some alt account, this whole deal is dead and you’re banned for good. Just repeating myself here: your first post in this thread will be your last post until next year's Christmas, and then we'll talk.

Basically, I don't want to see any trace of you until 12/25/2010. And no, this isn't up for debate. I'm not negotiating, I'm not shortening your "probation period," nothing.

If you post even once after this, you're turning down the offer and giving up your chance at being a member here.

Ball's in your court.

Since you clearly can't stick to your end of the bargain, there's zero reason for me to give you another shot.

Peace out.
Just one answer, please in Feedback & Suggestions ·
This thread? That other one, the massive one, isn't ever getting reopened because it’s just completely clogged up now. It basically turned into some weird little festival where everyone just posts pictures and goes "aww, look how cute."
