Best protein powders for muscle gain? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
goldenfox24 said:Quick question: are egg whites better, or should I just buy protein powder at the gym?

Fix your diet. Cut out the junk—fast food, burgers, soda, alcohol—and just train. That's it. Whey won't do anything for you if your nutrition is garbage; remember, whey is just a supplement, an addition to your diet, not a fix. You can eat whole eggs too, because the yolk actually has way more nutritional value than anything harmful in it.

You could just eat egg whites after your workout instead, though you'd need to consume quite a few, and they digest slower than whey. When you actually run the numbers, whey ends up being cheaper than buying egg whites.😉

Whey isn't going to turn into fat, but it will convert into glucose if your glycogen levels are low—like if you're drinking whey on an empty stomach in the morning or right after intense cardio.

That's nonsense; proteins don't burn faster than carbs. They do, however, burn faster than fats.

You should always consume carbs, or a mix of carbs and whey, following a workout.
The idea that we gain weight because we work twelve-hour shifts and supposedly lack the time to exercise is nonsense. It is nothing more than a fabrication used to excuse laziness. Anyone who actually cares about their health maintains a fit physique and makes an effort to work out. You always find the time; I have seen it myself time and time again.
Urine and acne: Does it actually work? in Health ·
Honestly, all that talk about urine is nonsense. Urine is just what the body doesn't need—it's excess waste like urea and salts. You shouldn't be applying it to open wounds 😕😕 since acne should basically be treated as an open wound. You would be much better off eating more fish, using olive oil, and taking zinc via chelated supplements or through your diet. Now, birth control pills will certainly help, though you might deal with some water retention, but the dietary options mentioned above are a far healthier approach. 😉
