Honestly, you should be thanking coastalpanther11 just for me showing up. As for the husband—he left the house in a pretty heated mood, kind of a grumpy type. From rural Pennsylvania. He's just glad he didn't lose the car😁
Anyway, Tori Amos. I have a feeling I'm never going to be a fan
Yesterday I was mulling over those classic superpower lists—you know, the usual suspects like invisibility, flight, X-ray vision, and all that stuff—but as soon as I started thinking about it, "immunity to cardboard" popped into my head. Now I can't stop laughing like an absolute idiot and I can't get anything else done
So, changing the avatar and that text underneath—is that what people call a 'cut,' or am I just totally lost? Michael Jackson. IMMUNE TO THE CARDBOARD BOXES🤣
Personally, I think "Pisatele" hits way harder than "Say Yes"—plus there’s a whole bunch of other Smith tracks that do. "Say Yes" just isn't that deep for me.
Another round of the food fetish thread, rolls the dice So, back to our usual debate: melon and prosciutto—is it a dream combo or just a total massacre (definitely a massacre if we're talking ham) Is there anyone out there actually eating melon with mayo 😬? On another note: Last.fm finally updated how they handle top list lags. I remember having AOL in my weekly top listening after hearing just one single track, yet it didn't show up on my all-time favorites at all. Now it’s actually working, so here is the real scale of my obsession (and this is just what I play at work—doesn't even count home or car listening): My top 5, with fifth place being a tie: 1 AOL - What Holds the World Together 44 2 Morphine - Buena 24 3 Yo La Tengo - You Can Have It All 22 4 Marshmallow - Small Wind 18 4 Fred Neil - Everybody's Talkin' 18 4 Paul Simon - American Tune 18
edit: seasoning salt ruins everything 🙂 Melon is great, and honestly, with prosciutto, it's killer
Daniel Bailey7 said:Look, I’m getting up there in years ( 😬 ), but if it’s a choice between black or green, I'm picking green every single time. Bitter? No thanks—I'll leave that to everyone else... 🙂
That parallel should really be about your state of mind rather than how old you are—like, you're young and green, while I'm just old and bitter. But honestly, that guy doesn't have a clue anyway 🙂
Black ones—the bitter ones—are the best. I’ve got a buddy who swears you can actually tell how old someone is just by their olive preference. Like, kids hate olives. Then you move on to just eating the green ones. Eventually, you grow to love the black, bitter ones. By the end, you'll eat them all, but those bitter black ones are your favorite. So, Samuel Murphy6, you're still young and I'm clearly getting old. What else is new? 😬
Samuel Murphy6 said:Oh man, those decibels of love—now that’s what I call music. Oh, man—so much noise, yet so little actually being said. Oh man, those decibels of love—now that’s what I call music. Oh man, the sheer volume of love... honestly, it's just one of those things people never bother to say out loud. Decibels of love—now that’s what I call music. 🤔
All I can think about is decibels—and Mekalski. 😈 That association works—I guess. Or maybe not. I mean, where are you actually at, man? I just don't get what that other guy's deal is then. My number one musical re-discovery today—David Bowie and "Ashes to Ashes." That whole era from the late seventies into the early eighties... man. I hadn't touched this stuff in fifteen years, then suddenly I was back in it yesterday and again today. 😬 Looking for some tracks to help with that glute workout—anything that actually hits?

5. That little mole on the bottom of her left palm 4. The way she’d just orbit around you during a conversation 3. How she’d repeat something three times instead of using superlatives 2. That specific look and smirk right before she'd say, "God, you're so stuuuuupid..." 1. Waking up next to her and watching her sleep (even though she absolutely hated that)
Yeah, well—I really shot myself in the foot this time... 😢
My own list of those tiny, intimate, precious moments from my Velika Romas (not my husband, obviously) (hey Daniel Bailey7: this is about that guy I mentioned over beers once): - nothing It all just falls into the black hole in my head.
I think Chris sounds terrible when he sings—honestly—but I still prefer Carla, even if her vocals aren't exactly world-class. They have some killer tracks, though. My absolute favorite has to be "To Hell and Back."
But seriously, they built two separate playgrounds—one for kids and one for teens—it’s just that the photo attached to the article is probably wrong. They're claiming it's the first playground of its kind in the US. Honestly, I can't even picture what that looks like.
Here are my top three go-to lunches that I’ve actually mastered—takes under thirty minutes, everyone at home eats them without complaining, and they’re actually decent for you, if you ask me: 1. Sautéed kale with bacon and sausage bits 2. Stuffed zucchini boats—ground meat inside, topped with melted cheese 3. Green beans with some hot dogs on the side, maybe At this rate, I’ll be a master chef by the time I retire
1. Hands down the most irritating phenomenon in pop music history: Whitney Houston. Seriously, how do you take pure soul and turn it into... I don't even know, some kind of overpriced, soulless corporate sludge? 2. Most extreme sport: badminton. I snapped my ankle a few years back—my buddy broke his leg not too long ago—and my husband nearly died this weekend. Honestly, his face is so swollen right now he looks like a hamster that ate way too much, and he can't even eat. Well, maybe it helps that we play at our cabin on a court that's basically a steep hill. Sheep everywhere. Lots of weeds, too. And we’re drinking 😳 3. Best change to that crap under the nickname: stormyviper11. Cheers to the travelers 🎉

Look, a solid espresso? Sure—honestly, sometimes I prefer it over a standard drip brew—but finding a actually good one is like finding a needle in a haystack.
I remember this one time (brace yourselves for the blasphemy) I had an incredible cup at the Mall of America—just killing time waiting for a movie and my date—and it was so damn good I actually asked the bewildered barista what kind of roast it was and gave him a shout-out. The guy just stared at me like I had two heads; apparently, people around here aren't used to getting compliments. I didn't leave a massive tip, though—it was pricey enough as it was. Anyway, it was Starbucks, so there you go... ☕
Starbucks definitely makes the best espresso, I've noticed that countless times.
Why are you getting so worked up? I actually dig Kacavida. Anyway, heading to lunch now. I made some smashed green beans—you guys just keep on translating 🙂
Douglas Taylor4 said:Anyway—ha ha—people say "badminton" (just like they say "slop," "bathrobe," "pantry," or "screwdriver")... I guess I just adopted this new American slang because I'm basically a traitor.
You're wrong about everything! Seriously! Badminton? Fine. Slop? Sure. Bathrobe? Okay. Pantry? Whatever. But it's a screwdriver—plain and simple.
