I don't think I’ve ever actually dreamed about people from this forum—not that I can recall—but I definitely had my dumbest moment when back in the day I got a New Year's text saying "Happy New Year! —Peter & Mark." 😕 It didn't even click that it was from my friend and her husband—who had just moved back to the States after being gone for a few years and whom I'd given my number to only a month prior—instead, I was just sitting there wondering which idiots, hollowseal33 and whoever else, were texting me... and together at that, no less. 🤣

Man, this Zeppelin thing... we’ve had this one single bullet shaped like a Zeppelin passed down through my family for four generations now—definitely the longest-lasting bullet on the planet. I'll be the first one crying when that damn thing finally breaks.
Watching sports on TV is just plain boring 🙂

We actually tore down walls in our new place just so we could have a bar

The Eagles are just a bunch of guys from Los Angeles who don't know how to do anything besides play their instruments, drink, and get high—not that I have a problem with their music, obviously. Where did people get the idea that these guys could unlock the secrets of the universe or hide deep messages in their lyrics? They got stoned, started playing, mumbled some nonsense, and boom—you've got a song. End of story.

It totally reminded me of this one time back in high school when my friend tried to explain how Deep Purple wrote Child in Time using basically the same logic—except he added full-on pantomime. We were absolutely losing it. His theory was something like: the manager locked them in a room, threw in some food, booze, and drugs, and told them they weren't coming out until they wrote a hit, so they just scribbled down random crap out of pure desperation. 🤣
Man, I can't even do justice to his performance now—it was too good.

Beard, hair... whatever. But check this out: ZULUFI 😍 😍 😍
What do you guys in the South call this, anyway?

"It’s honestly pathetic when you see this kind of ruthless tyranny on stage—this tiny elite group basically dictating what the masses are allowed to listen to. Following that media onslaught against the local forums—clearly a calculated move funded by some shady sources—there's virtually no room left in the American media landscape for anything except those indie alternative kids who are currently colonizing the scene. We'll manage to scrape by somehow, since we've survived worse, but I'm terrified that the old legends like Jim Steinman—without whose legacy most of the music this forum worships wouldn't even exist—are going to lose every single fight in such a monopolized industry. They'll be pushed out completely. Sadly, I fear—though I hope I'm wrong—that old Jim might end up like Taylor Swift—just forgotten, playing the occasional weekend gig in some obscure dive bar. Or, God forbid, a disappointed George might end up like his peers Syd Barrett or Brana Wilson, given how much their artistic vibes already overlap." 😎

you totally made this up, didn't you?

Honestly, the biggest fetish when it comes to guys: being left-handed 😍

forum trending topics, current mood:
1) user playlists
2) this one
3) random stuff
so unoriginal...

btw, guys—I’m definitely not the only one who finds curves a total turn-on. So don't use being overweight as an excuse.
My husband dropped 50 pounds over the last decade and now he's basically skin and bones—other women can't stop staring 😢 but whatever, I still think he looks great thin 😉

Elon Musk said:The best names for restaurant associations—honestly, just pick something that doesn't sound like a government committee.

Just some buddies hanging out. 😬
Burek at Grandpa’s—classic stuff. 👍

The absolute worst restaurant name I’ve ever heard has to be some joint out in rural Pennsylvania called 'Hard Rock.' Seriously—it sounds like calling a place 'Tough Steak.'

De La Soul and Chaka Khan teaming up for "All Good" — absolute classic.

Top tier marketing moves by US companies:
1) That "Budweiser is King" t-shirt
Every time I hit up a local grocery store or even just Target, I see at least one person rocking that shirt. They’ve basically secured free billboard space from their customers for years—until the fabric finally gives out. And honestly? They're actually decent shirts.

I honestly thought you had some kind of inside track on being able to borrow that... but whatever, forget I mentioned it.

So, what's the deal? You don't have any connection to the local arts festival at all? 😕

I can't even tell—I'm stuck in the kitchen while they're out in the living room. Usually, the whole place would be going up in flames by now 😈

Forget this 😬, I’ve been drinking way too much lately—spent the whole afternoon scrubbing under the kitchen sink and the stove

Forget Simon & Garfunkel. They're just... fine. Paul Simon solo is the real deal—even if he hits a few bumps in the road now and then.
Didn't feel like turning off the TV, so now I've got Oliver on—plus I'm singing so loud my neighbors might actually call the fire department, and... honestly, I think I might be drunk.

Edit: Does 4. Rolling Stones - Forty Licks have anything to do with Dana Anderson4?😬?
Robin Williams6 said:To me, Banned in Boston by GG Allin is a punk masterpiece—Skrewdriver has some decent tracks too, and from what I know, they weren't always a Nazi band. I dig a few things off the first two Metallica albums, even if those guys are just the worst kind of American hicks—plus, Paul DiAnno is a notorious wifebeater, and honestly, those first two Maiden records are pure rock. It sucks because you often don't even know what musicians are actually like, or can't find out, so you're just stuck with whatever image you have of them. For instance, music historians tell me Tchaikovsky was a total creep... but so what? How am I supposed to police that? It doesn't bother me to listen to stuff made by people who are complete assholes—I might not buy their albums, though maybe I actually would... hmm, actually, I don't even want to know.

That’s exactly my point. I heard that same thing about Tchaikovsky and it sucked, because I actually love his stuff. My take on GG Allin went the other way—the question was what we thought of him as teenagers, and I realized I used to listen to him even when I didn't really like it, just because it was edgy. Now I listen to all sorts of stuff by people I consider idiots. Morrissey, for example. I love that moron.😍
David Sullivan4 said:gg allin sent you his regards 😈

Honestly—I dealt with that same kind of patient back in high school. Not doing it again, thanks.
And yeah, looking back, I was basically an idiot when I was a teen—pretty much held the exact opposite views then. I remember going to see this concert, some edgy Satanic metal act, just because he was cool. Honestly? That whole performance still haunts me. The music wasn't even good; I just thought he was cool. And he was from a tiny town in the Midwest too 😬
Personally, I actually prefer knowing absolutely nothing about an author. Once you know their deal, it starts messing with my perception of the work—whether I want it to or not. It’s impossible to ignore. And it works both ways—I find myself liking things more if I start liking the writer, or hating them if they're a jerk. It’s just pointless.
Plus, unless we're talking extreme cases, you never truly know the full truth about anyone. It’s easy to just toss out a line like "Hemingway was a misogynist," but how would I actually know? For all I know, I'm just as bad.
And yeah, hypothetically speaking, I’d still want to read a poem or a book even if the author turned out to be some kind of cannibalistic pedophile. Hopefully 🤔
