That’s not even a tarp, man, it’s a chain link fence.😉

Personally, I dug the clip, and I really dig the melody. Now, you’re probably wondering—which melody?
Steve Vai once pushed back against exactly this kind of elitist attitude—the idea that guitarists who obsess over "technique and speed" somehow have less artistic merit than the "classics." He called that logic total nonsense. Mastering that level of skill takes an incredible amount of grind, and that effort deserves respect. At the end of the day, you either feel it or you don't. As for judging the "artistic impact," I don't think any of us are qualified to play critic. It’s subjective. You either like it or you don't. It’s really that simple.

Think about how much Hendrix just noodled around on his guitar... how many distinct notes can you even pull out of his playing?

Hey, leave him out of this!😉

I honestly think—and I really do—that trying to debate who’s the superior guitarist among the names mentioned above is kind of a fool's errand. They’re all essentially "mountain climbers who have already reached the summit of the guitar version of Mt. Everest." In my eyes, they’ve pushed the instrument to its absolute physical limit; there's just a point where a human being physically cannot go any further, and that's just a cold, hard fact. This whole journey was kicked off a long time ago by Jimi Hendrix, if you ask me. To put it in perspective: Hendrix took a rough dirt path through the woods and turned it into a paved road, then guys like Joe Satriani and his crew took that road and expanded it into a massive, multi-lane superhighway. They’re all legends, plain and simple. Whether you gravitate toward Satriani, Steve Vai, or Yngwie Malmsteen, or if you’d rather stick with Hendrix or Jimmy Page, is purely a matter of personal taste. Everyone has their favorite, but as for who is objectively "better"... I honestly don't know.🤔

James King40 said:Whether you like it or not, I honestly think that at the end of the day—barring a few honorable exceptions—it all boils down to the Black artists. To me, what Clapton did with R. Johnson felt pathetic; it was sterile and lacked any real soul, whereas someone like Buddy Guy still plays blues with enough grit to shake the room, even if he's past his prime. And don't even get me started on R. L. Burnside...

Honestly, I think you're missing the mark here. Those "honorable exceptions" you mentioned are exactly what produced some of the most badass blues ever recorded. Take someone like Stevie Ray Vaughan—that man was a pure blues miracle who could outplay the old guard regardless of whether they were Black or white. In my book, you just can't get any better than that. Once you move past him, you're stepping into Hendrix territory, and those guys are basically aliens from another planet altogether. That's a whole different conversation...
HELL YES!!! It’s right there in my heart, and honestly, it’s in the hearts of so many people all across this great nation, and frankly, that’s more than enough for me.
When did rock 'n' roll die? in Music ·
Rock & Roll died on February 12, 1987, when a bunch of rats working at the Hershey factory in Austria decided they’d had enough and quit to start a band with the wildly descriptive name "The Sviscz." That was basically the beginning of the end.😉

Every single one of those 500,000 people was just high on some crazy trip sold to them by some shady characters at a dive bar... That's the only reason, trust me!
