She’s been dealing with constant leaks, which has honestly been pretty discouraging for her, but she’s finally started getting back into swimming. It’s helping her realize things aren't quite as catastrophic as they first seemed.
She ends up changing her supplies way more often than what the standard medical guidelines suggest, mostly just because of those leaks. But she’s come to view it this way: the official recommendations are basically flawed, because if they were accurate, people would need much more supplies provided to them.
I think maybe he's feeling some shame regarding the ostomy. I know my mom went through that exact same thing—that mix of embarrassment and just the general discomfort of having something like that attached to your body constantly. But you'd be surprised by how common this actually is.
Watching other people share their experiences on YouTube really helped my mom get through it, so maybe that could help him too.
It isn't the ostomy itself or even the leaking that's the worst part; I think it’s more that people don't want to feel like they've "failed," and now they have to deal with this cumbersome accessory that, let's face it, can be pretty unpleasant.
If he heads down to the coast and stays in one of those high-waisted swimsuits, it might help hide everything when he steps out of the water.
He should definitely try to get to the beach. It really helps; I see how much being near the ocean lifts my mom's spirits and gives her a bit of strength.
Cancer is such a cruel disease.
Yeah... I totally agree with everything said here.
My brother-in-law has been living with an ostomy for almost a year now after his colon cancer diagnosis, and he absolutely loves being out on the water. But because of the bag, he’s hesitant to go to the beach because he's worried about how it'll hold up while swimming.
I was wondering if there's anything specific we can buy or order online to make sure ocean swimming is safe and worry-free?
Everywhere I look online, people say you can totally swim normally with an ostomy, but for him, even the shower pressure makes the adhesive start peeling off.
My husband and I really want to get him to the coast, but we need to figure out a way to stop that lifting issue first.
Has anyone else dealt with this kind of thing?
Hey there! We just got a recommendation for some Graviola juice... but when I search online, I see a bunch of different kinds out there. Is there one specific brand or type that's actually better than the others? Or maybe some to stay away from?
Has anyone here tried using these medications for liver metastases?

I reset my MOBA settings back to my custom defaults and blocked Meta from sending me notifications in my app settings, and honestly, I haven't seen a single ad in two days now!
I just went ahead and turned off all those Meta notifications in my apps... hopefully that does the trick! 😢
Larry Ortiz5 said:I think you picked up some malware on your S9. You should probably just factory reset it, or go into your phone settings under device maintenance, then hit device security and run a scan...
I'm going to give that a shot, but every single ad has this little "AdChoices" icon in the corner that just opens up something from Meta...
P.S. It keeps telling me everything is secure even after I run the scan...
Here's an example of the ad:

Help!
I've got an Apple S9. For the last few days, Meta has been literally HARASSING ME with ads. How is this even happening?
Basically, these ads are just popping up full-screen out of nowhere—and it’s not just inside the Meta app. It’s happening in Viber, Messenger, Instagram, Candy Crush, you name it. The absolute worst part is that it’s started happening while I’m sleeping; my phone is on silent, then suddenly a full-screen ad jumps out at me and music starts blasting...
How do I make this stop?
There are some options in the corner of the ads, but they don't really help much; they just keep redirecting me back to the Meta Ad Center (Ad Choices).
Bringing this thread back to life! I have a Chase Sapphire Reserve card (student version), and it automatically approved me for installment payments up to $333.
I'm curious about how the mechanics actually work here. If I go out and buy some item from $167 using a 5-month payment plan, when exactly does that money get pulled from my account? Like, what's the specific date?
I know my Amex pulls the payment automatically on the 9th of every month, but I haven't used my Visa for installments yet, so I'm totally in the dark—and I can't find any clear info online 😢
Also, I was wondering... if I take out an installment plan, does that reduce my available credit limit of $333...?
rowdypilot86 said:Exactly. You just need a network card like the one in that first link—doesn't matter the brand, as long as it has an antenna to pick up the Wi-Fi signal. Usually, the drivers come on a CD included with the device. Once you've got the card installed, just turn on the hotspot on your phone and look for your iOS network on the computer. Pro tip: definitely make sure to set a password for your hotspot 😉

I've got a password set, thanks for the help! 🙂
View on imgurSo, this is what happens when I try to find a network using this stick... I can't even click on it!
Not sure if this title works.
Anyway, I’ve got unlimited data on my Verizon plan (using an iPhone 6s). I really want to be able to share that connection with my computer. I have this old VIP Huawei USB stick lying around from about 9 years ago, but I'm pretty sure it won't work for this...
What should I pick up so I can actually tether to my phone? (I know I need to turn on the hotspot feature first).
Could it be this one?
