Sean Long4 said:A frendica of mine just had her wedding recently, and I actually ended up being pleasantly surprised by their cake.

Sean Long4, do you remember what kind of cake it was? Was it chocolate, stracciatella, vanilla, or hazelnut?

I’m running into the same issue as Zachary Price2. At Boise or other bakeries around here, they just don't have any cakes available to sample. I have no idea why that is.

We’ve definitely decided on Boise because our wedding is on Maui, and they have a shop right there, which makes logistics much easier.

We originally wanted Mississippi, because the chocolate cake we tried from them was one of the best we've ever had. Incredible cream and soft, light sponge. It looks heavy, but it’s actually light and incredibly delicious. Highly recommend.

But coordinating transport to the island is just too complicated, and since Boise has locations in NYC, I can order through them easily. That convenience was the deciding factor.

It’s strange, though—there wasn't a single slice of those cakes to try in Maui, Miami, or NYC. Only individual pastries. Maybe just bad luck.

So, if any ladies here have tried cakes from Boise, please weigh in.
I'm particularly interested in the stracciatella; apparently, it's their most popular wedding choice.

Sorry for the long post.🙄

That cake looks delicious.

I hope it tasted as good as it looks. :-)
Ovaries: Cysts and related issues [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
Alex Chavez4 said:Speaking from my own experience here, I can tell you that out of all the different medications I’ve ever tried, herbal teas were actually what helped me the most...
Besides just drinking the tea, you really have to focus on staying calm and keeping your stress levels down, because honestly, all that tension plays such a huge role in how those cysts form in the first place.
You basically need to clear out any inflammation happening in your lower abdomen, and once you do that, everything usually settles—your period becomes regular again, and the pain and those cysts just seem to vanish...
As for the doctors, I still head in to get a professional verification and make sure there aren't any major changes happening, since at the end of the day, they do know their stuff, but for me personally, nature and tea did the heavy lifting, especially once I started getting serious about hitting the gym and practicing yoga every single day...

This is spot on. I deal with hormonal issues and cysts myself, and I’ve always been prone to stress without really taking it seriously. Once I realized how much it was affecting me, I made a real effort to manage my temper and started drinking liters of various herbal teas every single day. After three months, my prolactin levels dropped, my cycle became regular, my skin cleared up, and I’m even seeing less hair loss.

Oh, and I started exercising regularly too. That part is pretty crucial.

As for the specific blend I use, I don't know every single ingredient. I get it from a local herbalist in Cleveland, but she keeps her recipes secret. I can tell it contains Agrimony, though. I usually supplement it by adding some Lady's Mantle myself.

You can find various herbal blends for women's health at any local pharmacy; you won't go wrong with most, just make sure they include Agrimony and Lady's Mantle.

Also, if you're in Washington, D.C., over at the market near the fishmonger, there's a stall that sells these teas. You can buy the individual herbs there and mix your own. I'm planning to add Fennel and Lemon Balm to my Agrimony and Lady's Mantle mix.

Anyway, I hope this helps someone.
Everything you need for a California wedding in Weddings ·
Can anyone recommend an elite makeup artist based in San Francisco?

I'm looking for someone on par with top-tier pros like Marija Butković.

I live in Washington, D.C., but I’m getting married in California this summer. I’ve scoured every forum out there, but I can't find a solid recommendation. No one seems to have a portfolio website readily available, and I haven't seen anyone getting much hype—nothing like the reputation you see with people like Marija, Vrban, or Novak Djokovic.

I was a bridesmaid once and used a trainee at a salon in Washington, D.C.; it was an absolute disaster. Now, I'm fully prepared to pay a premium for a true professional. Honestly, I'm a little nervous about just picking anyone off a list. Getting the makeup right is non-negotiable for me.

Who do you ladies trust with your face? Please, if you have a go-to expert, let me know.
