I have a quick question for you all.
The venue's package includes 10 ounces of cookies and 10 ounces of cake per person.

We went to pay the deposit today, and I decided to pick the owner's brain—you know, asking about his actual experience—to see if that amount is truly enough. Everywhere I look on these forums, people seem to swear by a standard of 15 ounces per person. He, however, argued that when you combine the two, you're looking at 20 ounces of "sweet secret" per guest—plus the wedding cake itself—and he insisted he’s never had a situation where they ran out. He’s quite confident it's plenty. To be fair, everyone seems to rave about this guy; he runs a tight ship and wouldn't dream of letting a single thing fall short, which definitely builds my confidence in his word. 😁

So, I'm wondering—is that 15-ounce figure some sort of industry rule of thumb regardless of extra cakes, or is my current setup of 10 (cookies) plus 10 (cake) actually sufficient?

I don't mind paying extra for more cookies if it's necessary, but I really don't want to overdo it if there isn't a real need. 🙂
