Anyone else thinking about how Atlanta might just start tanking to leapfrog Orlando and snag that Indiana pick instead of Boston? They looked totally checked out on the court against Toronto last night, so I wouldn't be shocked if they drop another one tonight against the same squad. The home team at 2.6 odds... honestly, tempting.
What does that even have to do with my post? That kind of thing happens once in a blue moon, but we’re seeing three-pointers at the buzzer almost every single week. It’s such a shame we couldn't close it out last night. But hey, they finally got a new owner, and I guess the guys decided to show exactly what the man paid for.
I gotta vent about these absolute jokes of coaches in the NBA. I seriously don't get why they can't just call a timeout when they're up by three on the final possession. It started last night with the Detroit coach, and then you've got that clown on the Heat bench—I just can't wrap my head around it. Honestly, they need to go back to coaching school over in Europe or something. And of course, both teams that gave up those threes ended up blowing it in OT.
Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce didn't make the trip with us to Charlotte. And since Ray Allen is sidelined tonight too, welcome to The no Big Three era.
think the home team can actually hold their own against the rest of the Boston Celtics?
Nothing's official yet, so I'm gonna wait until right before tip-off and then just hammer the Bobcats at 8.5. I don't see it happening in my American betting app right now.
Nothing's been officially confirmed yet, but keep an eye on the #Celtics—looks like they might be playing without Ray Allen (ankle issues), Paul Pierce (toe), and probably Kevin Garnett (resting) tonight.
Wall, Crawford, C. Singleton, Vesely, Seraphin for #Wizards - Sloan, Parker, Gea, Harangody, Thompson #CavaliersRead more: http://hoopshype.com/twitter/media.html#ixzz1s3aaVdip If this doesn't pay out, I honestly have no clue what else this guy is supposed to be doing.
Man, tough break for the Celtics. And honestly, I’m speechless about Griffin—he goes 2 for 8 and once again, this guy ruins the under because of his shooting. Now, there's some interesting news hitting the wire. Even though Washington is playing absolute garbage ball and the game itself doesn't really matter, Antawn Jamison is sitting tonight. Harangody is gonna start in his place instead. I'm going all in, 10/10 on Wizards over 3.5, so whatever happens, happens. Also, pairing Cleveland under 97.5 at 7/10 with OKC. Good luck!!
Honestly, I'm not sure what to grab from this game. Maybe Blake Griffin over? I have a feeling he's gonna cook today—expecting him at 25+. I can't even remember the last time he dropped 30. The line is 11.5 elsewhere, but this morning SS had it at 10.5 before they bumped it up to 12.5.
With all the issues the Warriors are dealing with tonight against the LA Clippers, plus being without David Lee and Richard Jefferson, it's looking rough.
Lawrence Castillo76 said:Ty Lawson at 17.5 under (odds 1.85) should probably clear the line since it feels inflated by 2 points—realistically he's looking at 15.5 based on what other books are showing. Even though he played great last game, the roster is set and there's a chance DeAndre Jordan returns. I'm not expecting a track meet with 200+ points here, especially since the Lakers defend the paint pretty well. If he doesn't hit 3 or 4 triples, there's no way he hits this. Also, I don't get this 17.5 line on Nelson??? The odds are 1.6 right now, but his average is just barely over 11. Sure, he plays well when the superstar is out, and he cleared this against Washington and Detroit, but facing Atlanta today is going to be a much tougher grind.
Ty Lawson at 17.5 under with odds of 1.85 feels way too high—it’s inflated by at least 2 points. Honestly, 15.5 is more realistic based on what other betting companies are showing. Even though he played great last time, the roster is set, there's a chance DeAndre Chandler returns to the rotation, and I don't see this turning into a track meet with 200+ points. Plus, the LA Lakers defense is solid inside the paint; if he doesn't nail three or four triples, there's no way he clears this line. Also, what's up with Nelson's line being set at 17.5??? The odds are sitting at 1.6 right now, but his average is barely over 11. Sure, he steps up when the superstar is out, and he cleared this against the Washington Wizards and Detroit Pistons, but facing Atlanta today is going to be a much tougher grind.
I’ve gotta take Portland at +1.7 against this broken Warriors squad. Even though the home team is feeling it without LaMarcus Aldridge in the lineup tonight, I still think they pull this one out. Their roster is just deeper than Golden State's regardless. Also, looking at Lee over 20.5—with that absence, it's actually a solid play, even if I usually hate betting player overs. He hasn't been playing great against Portland lately anyway.
