He was never really part of the core crew from the Zion area.
He got along fine with me and K., though—used to hang out at the local pub with us all the time.
He actually left right after his near-final game, so honestly, let someone else judge what happened to him after all this.
I know the whole story, but I felt like I had to bring him up. That conversation we had stays with me, even today—it’s hard to wrap my head around how, after everything, he just ended up switching sides...

But there’s one undeniable truth here: absolutely nobody involved in the supporters' club ever fell for those tempting offers. Even though our group isn't exactly known for having the largest presence in the stands, there isn't a single person among us who lost their way.
Everyone except for one guy... though back then, being active was a foreign concept to him anyway.

Watch your step—danger is lurking around every corner here.🙂
FC BASEL - SALZBURG 1 , 3.20 (0:0)
FC Basel has been a steady hand in Europe for quite some time now—sure, they’ve stumbled a bit in their most recent outings, but they still hold a comfortable five-point cushion in the league. Plus, they have an easy matchup against FC Aarau this weekend, so I suspect they'll push themselves to the limit today just to head into the second leg with whatever advantage they can scrape together. This season, their home turf has been pretty much a fortress, aside from that one slip-up against Schalke 04 in the Champions League and a single loss in domestic play...
On the other side, Salzburg has been looking absolutely terrifying this season. Now, I realize the Austrian league isn't exactly the ultimate litmus test for greatness, but pulling off ten straight wins in the Europa League? That says something—even if the roster doesn't exactly scream "superstars." They've been scoring goals left and right, but I have a feeling the streak might finally hit a wall today; perhaps it's simply time for them to take a loss after those ten consecutive victories in the Europa League...
It’s a tough one to call, really. But I think I'll take this shot because Salzburg isn't significantly more dominant than Basel, which makes that 3.20 odds on the Favorite look far too tempting to pass up...
Good luck, everyone.
If you're heading out of town for games played outside the US, there’s no need to check in—you won't be slapped with any new penalties...
I’ve been under some kind of indefinite restraining order over in San Diego... Just about a month ago, I finally got a blue envelope in the mail stating that the restrictions were being lifted and that the fine I received alongside the order—which, let's be honest, I haven't paid yet—was being tossed out.
Out of the 17 people on that list, maybe seven or eight managed to get cleared after putting up a fight; everyone else just took it on the chin...

As for the whole stalling thing, didn't you go through something pretty similar back when you were in Poland?😍
It happened, and honestly... I don't even know what to say.

😁
A few years have passed since then—you can finally admit you were the one calling the shots and taking the blame.🤣 😂
Regardless, that trip was easily one of the best tours we ever did. We had a van that handled more like a fighter jet, a bunch of local kids chasing after us down some dusty road in Romania, hotels with zero hot water, that legendary breathalyzer test that looked like it was made from a popcorn scoop, breaking into dance at a gas station on the way back, and crossing into Transnistria without having any clue if we were actually going to be allowed through...
Anyway, that tour was absolutely wild...

I know it finished 1:1, but I still have a feeling the Sheriff will settle the score in the second game...

Closest, cheapest, most appealing
is the rematch happening next week?
It’s not exactly close—if you hadn't overindulged last time, you'd realize how far away Moldova actually is. 🤣

Angela Newman33 claims it’s impossible we didn't cross paths—arguing that if I walked in just as you were heading out... 🤷... a matter of seconds, really—but honestly, the highlight was walking into the place on my bike. My daughter asks if she can take it for a spin, of course I say yes, being the "cool" parent... then fifteen minutes later, right as I'm heading out, she asks if I'll just give her the bike as a gift. 😎😁
Talk about bad timing—Mazga stepped out just moments before you walked in, and I showed up a few minutes after you left...

I’ve already "booked" a contractor for some tiling work 😉.
It wasn't exactly my best moment when that big guy started sniffing all over me today. Thank God you were actually there 😁
