Hi, I need some help here. My husband is in the final stages of metastatic carcinoma. Things have taken a massive turn for the worse over the last ten days. He’s completely incapacitated—just bedridden. He’s in diapers now, eating almost nothing, and sleeping terribly. A palliative care doctor visited us and prescribed some pills for his pain and sleep. The issue is, I have to work, my daughter has college, and that leaves me alone with him most of the time. He’s already fallen several times trying to get up. He’s covered in bruises from those falls. Now he won't try to get up without me, but I still have to haul him just to get him sitting. My whole body aches from the strain. Between that and constantly getting up to check on him, I’m barely sleeping. Putting him in a nursing home isn't an option—I refuse to let him die in some hole where he's just tied down and drugged up. He stays at home, and if he dies, he dies in his own bed. My question is: is there an association or any kind of organization that provides palliative nurses or caregivers? I am more than willing to pay for this. I’m not looking for a handout. I just need to know if something like this actually exists.
I checked out Marks & Spencer—they unfortunately carry sizes up to a 20 and have large bras. There's some stuff at the H&M over at Westgate and at C&A too, but mostly just tops and a few pairs of jeans.
H&M, Marks & Spencer, C&A—basically every clothing store out there, except maybe Zara with their tiny little models or those cheap Chinese brands like Sinsay. My daughter can't even fit into a Large in their stuff—and she’s 175 cm and 60 kg.
Yeah, finding the right fit is a total nightmare. From what I’ve gathered, H&M is basically built for tall girls. I’m about 5'4" and everything there is way too long for me. Their tees hang down past my ass like tunics—and don't even get me started on the pants; I have to hack off at least 8 inches just to make them wearable. I don't mind fixing a shirt, but hunting down a tailor just for some jeans? Too much work. C&A and Marks & Spencer have better length options, which is huge for me. Their pants actually fit—especially the ones from M&S; they feel almost custom-made. I once picked up some jeans from KiK that looked great initially, but even though I barely wore them, they ripped at the thighs in no time. They weren't pricey, but hey—you get what you pay for.
So, I picked up this gorgeous down jacket from C&A last year—slightly cinched at the waist, really lovely. The only issue is it’s a size 12, and since I dropped 10 pounds due to some health stuff, it’s hanging off me now. Honestly, an 8 would be perfect. I'm not sure if they even carry smaller sizes anymore. On the flip side, their coats are top-tier. Everything else feels like cheap synthetic junk that just doesn't sit right. I saw H&M carries up to a size 24 or even 28, but nothing there catches my eye. It's all baggy blouses that look like nightgowns, leggings I wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole, and just this overall shapeless, raggy, depressing vibe. They don't have any decent, classic trousers. Everything is just way too casual. Marks & Spencer has some stunning pieces, but they only go up to a size 20, and the prices? Way too steep. Guess I'll just have to wait for the clearance sales.
C&A and M&S They’ve got great underwear for pretty much any budget—and they actually carry up to size 52-54, too. Specifically at M&S, you can grab 5-packs of thongs for $6.75. Cotton, soft, and they actually hold up—perfect. Bras are just as good, though—they're pricier, obviously.

Doesn't surprise me one bit. Managed to snag a thin sweater and some drawstring pants. Sweater’s fine—pants are two sizes too big, though. But they have a drawstring, so whatever. Meanwhile, a dress, a pleated skirt, and some white lace shorts slipped right past me—items I’ve been eyeing since the sales started. They kept dropping the prices on everything else, but not these. They hit $33 and just stayed there. Someone finally grabbed them for $3.25, and I missed out—even though I practically live at H&M. I swing by on my way home from work, so I usually catch things, but this time I was late. You can still find decent stuff at Marks & Spencer near the West Gate, too. On Sunday, I picked up a coat for $77—it was marked down from over 600. It’s great, fits like it was custom-made for me. Already own one of their coats and it’s solid. Definitely recommend.

No clue. Best bet is just to call them up and ask.

I finally just gave in and grabbed something from Marks & Spencer, but honestly, even the "plus size" stuff at Target was a bust. And don't even get me started on Kohl's... they have absolutely nothing left.
I actually managed to find a decent large bra at C&A. Target was a bust for me, and honestly, even the biggest one at M&S didn't fit right.
U WG was absolutely everything. T-shirts from $3.25 (was $69) Pants from $6.75 (used to be $100-$150) Dresses from $12 (was $100) Found this genius jumpsuit—honestly haven't stopped looking at it since I got it—bought it for $33, when it was originally $100 Sizes go up to 4XL, which I think is our 22-24. Marks & Spencer is having a massive clearance sale right now, too. Pants from $6.75 (was $350) Coat $50 (was $1200) Dress $33 (was $680) Etc. Sizes up to 14-16.

I’m asking for my sister who is having a nightmare trying to find a decent bikini here in the States because of her bust size. In her local department store, she’s looking at the largest cup size available paired with the smallest band (like a 32 band), which basically means she’s stuck with those basic, single-color bras sitting in boxes on the bottom shelf of the clearance section. She can’t find a single actual bikini top in any regular shop that actually fits her proportions.
Does anyone have recommendations for online shops—ideally a few different ones—that actually carry a massive selection of bikini tops? Specifically, she needs underwire, something sturdy, and non-padded. Also, if you’ve ordered from them before, were you happy with the quality? And more importantly, are the sizes actually true to size and do they actually match the measurement charts?
I was at the H&M near downtown today and saw bras and swimsuits up to an 80F—they might have even larger cups, so she should check there; she can try them on too. A D cup is just right for me, and I’ve got a pretty decent shape, so I figure something there might work for her. Marks & Spencer also carries large cups, but yeah—they’re way more expensive than H&M.
H&M is still running that BOGO deal on clearance items right now. I was over at Westgate yesterday and finally snagged a dress from the plus-size section that I've had my eye on for ages—it was marked down to $23 from $249. It was the last one left in a size 14, and honestly, the bust fit me perfectly without any issues. It looks great on me. Better than expected, actually. I also grabbed some trousers for $17, down from $199. Even the pants fit well—which is rare because H&M cuts usually don't work for me. I don't have much of a curve in the hips or backside, so their pants always tend to sag there, but these actually stay put. Picked up a blouse and a tee as well. Total came to $40. I'm seriously happy with the haul. They've got tees on sale from $69 down to $12, and if you grab two, they're basically $35 each—definitely a steal. I actually think their tees are solid; they hold up well in the wash and last a while. There were even those thin cotton sweaters for $17, and if you get two, they're $25 a piece... They're decent too. I already own a few in different colors and I'm satisfied.
