I actually already have it. I ended up picking up components later on, so I ended up stuck with this APU setup... So, can this power supply handle this build without breaking a sweat, or should I just grab something beefier?
Hey guys, can someone tell me if this PSU is gonna cut it ( Rest of the build is an Intel Core i3, 12GB RAM, a 120GB SSD, a 1TB WD Green, and a Sapphire R7 260X 1GB OC. Thanks 🙂
Right now I'm running an MS Platinum 400W... thinking about switching over to either a Corsair CX500 or that Spire Black Eagle 550W ( Probably gonna grab a 7850 2GB for the GPU, was looking at one from VTX—anyone know if their cooling actually holds up? 🙂
So, someone gave me a total junk power supply, but I was thinking about starting a new thread to get some solid recommendations for a PSU that won't choke on my build 🙂 Also, for newer titles, do I actually need those 2 GBs, or can I still game decently on 1 GB?? Thanks.
Hey, I'm thinking about slapping a new GPU in my rig 😁 and was wondering what the absolute beastliest card is that my Ryzen 3 3200G can actually handle without choking... Any ideas?
Thanks 🙂 but I actually already have a buyer lined up offering $1,500. The guy doesn't really know his way around computers or anything... 😁 I just wanted to double-check I wasn't lowballing myself before I closed the deal

why so low though...
anyone want to give me a ballpark on what this rig is worth?
cpu- core 2 duo e8400
mobo- ASUS P5G41T-M LX3
ram- 4gb ddr3 kingston
hdd- 160gb Seagate Barracuda sata2
psu- 400w ms platinum
case- deluxe build with internal temp readout and fan control... thanks ☕
crimsonstag84 said:That PSU is way too expensive—total overkill for your setup... btw, why are you running an APU with a dedicated GPU? 😬 You could have just gone with an AMD Athlon x4 750k + HD 7850 😉

It’s much more cost-effective, and you'll be able to upgrade easily since your current rig barely pulls ~200W at peak load, if even that...
My old lady originally got this PC, but she had to swap it for a laptop because of work.
Right now, there's some MS Platinum power supply inside that I've had bad luck with, so I'm looking for a new one just to be safe and to make sure I have headroom for future upgrades.😁
Hey everyone, I'm curious about what people think of Thermaltake power supplies. I'm looking at picking up one of those 530W TT Smart units for my current setup, which looks like this:
4GB DDR3 RAM
1TB WD Hard Disk
AMD Radeon HD 7750 1GB DDR5
AMD A8 5500 Quad-core APU
ASRock FM2A75 PRO4
Will this PSU cut it, or should I just grab something beefier from a different brand? Thanks for the help...
