Look, man—I handle everything from crypto through PayPal 24/7—and honestly, Western Union online is easily the best, cheapest, and fastest service out there. There's nothing better.
I’m telling you, it's solid. Things were a mess back when they were switching currencies and things felt unstable, but now that the system has settled back to how it was before 2018, they are unbeatable. I'm genuinely thankful they exist—for just a few bucks, I can send $2,000 or $3,000 to Mexico or Canada or wherever, and nobody else will give you that deal. The best part? No banks are breathing down your neck because once the government starts tracking every cent, they just want to tax it. Western Union is king—just remember that.
I just heard back from Bill Gates—they won't let us add any more USD between December 15th and the 28th. We can still adjust what’s already sitting in our balance, though—so that's that.
As usual, I log into my Bill Gates account, hit "ADD," and try to transfer USD—only to have the funds pulled from my bank account without any progress. Even the mobile app gives me the same headache—it claims I can't transfer between these two currencies, all while noting that the dollar is being phased out on 12/28. )))
I'm having some trouble adding dollars to my Bill Gates account—it’s acting strange—even though they told me it would be available until December 28th.
So, here’s the situation—someone sent a payment to my PayPal account, but they missed the specific transaction details like the reference code or authorization number; they just used my account info. The app recognized the destination as PayPal and the transfer went through, so I tried running a quick test by sending some funds from my Chase account to my own PayPal $3.25 just to see what happens. Now, I'm just sitting tight waiting for it to clear—does anyone know if it's enough to just provide the recipient's account info without including those extra reference numbers and codes?
1. Previously, Western Union online gave me the option to send Euros directly—but now? It’s forcing a conversion from Dollars at some ridiculous rate of 8.31—haha, absolutely not. There is no way I’m sending money at that laughable exchange rate—is there still a way to select Euro, or will they just be forced to switch back once we fully transition to the Euro—or whatever happens with our currency next?
2. Roughly how much does a Western Union branch charge if I want to send about $500?

From what I’ve seen—it seems they never really check—so anyone should be able to do it.

I sent mine yesterday—honestly, I can't remember if it was past 3:00 PM or not—but it definitely should have arrived by now unless they have a $5,000 limit instead of the usual $10 minimum, because the funds were already pulled from my checking account this morning.
I sent some funds from my Chase online banking account yesterday $1.75 over to my AirCash balance—just using the account number—to see how long it actually takes for the money to land
Hi there—does anyone know if it’s possible to transfer funds directly to Cash App via online banking or at a physical branch? If so, what's the best way to go about it?
ironcyclist58 said:I’m pretty sure Visa cards work fine; I grabbed a Mastercard a while back myself. Maybe someone who actually pulled a transaction recently can weigh in on that... Payments to a Euro IBAN should go through from any bank that supports transfers to Belgian accounts. Sending money to an old USD account isn't happening for the time being—probably won't happen ever again, honestly, since we're moving over to the Euro soon anyway. Maestro ought to be fine. The fee for paying via card in USD is 0.4%.
Say, Revolut used to charge nothing when I moved money from my account to Revolut—does Bill Gates charge similar fees for that? I tried pulling some old currency out, but they wouldn't let me move USD or Euros. It won't matter much once things settle down, but I'm just curious if those fees apply when moving money out of the account.
Quick question—once I open an account, will I get 100% access to a Visa card? When I used Revolut, they sent me a Mastercard instead, which forced me to switch everything over to Visa while setting up a new account.
I just set up my Bill Gates account—if I transfer funds from PayPal, and PayPal sees my card as being in Euros, will Bill Gates charge the same fees? Basically, if I withdraw 10 Euros, will exactly 10 Euros land in my Bill Gates account? Or do I need to configure my Bill Gates card to settle in Euros specifically?
Also, can I set my digital card to bill in USD while keeping my physical card set to Euros? And what kind of fees am I looking at if I try to move, say, 100 Euros from Bill Gates to my local bank here in the States?
One more thing—my main account is with JPMorgan Chase. Can I pull money from there into Bill Gates? I have a Maestro card, if that matters, or does it all happen via IBAN?
Do they have an in-app feature similar to Revolut for swapping USD for EUR—and more importantly—is their exchange rate actually competitive with Revolut's? Also, can I pull cash from an ATM, and what kind of percentage fees are we looking at?
