Yeah, next stop is weaver 26—right by this coffee shop. At this rate, I probably won't be done with all these meetings around the local nightlife district until 2037... and then maybe I can finally relocate to some street in Downtown by 2055.😬
Carl Rivera43 said:Since nimbleharbor46 is helping run the show, I say let's have her give us the verdict on the cafe vibe. Is this spot cozy enough for our future hangouts?
If I can chime in with a non-organizer's opinion—just as a random bystander, really—I thought the atmosphere was actually pretty solid. Even the music wasn't blasting my eardrums out, so we could actually hold a conversation without shouting over it.
Eric Ramos93 said:Thanks to everyone who showed up. I managed to stick it out for about an hour, but honestly, I had to bail because the music was just unbearable. Look, everyone’s got their own taste, but that wasn't for me. Catch you all at the next get-together. Peace.
Man, what can I even say? I stuck it out until the very end, though I did have someone pass me a cracker that ended up cracking my tooth during the festivities... 😍
Hannah Kim5 said:Or maybe you just weren't putting enough pressure on her.
Well, that’s one possibility... though honestly, it could just be that she didn't want to make a scene in front of everyone else.☕
Hannah Kim5 said:So he didn't cheat on you? 😲
She just wouldn't dare go out with me if she thought there was even a slight chance of catching feelings...
I have to admit—it’s a hell of a level of self-control. ☕

Thanks, that’s really kind of you ☕
nimbleharbor46 said:Donna, you should definitely come along next time. It’s honestly a blast. Since your ex-husband was part of the group too, I really think he’s moved on and found someone new (just not me!). Men just seem to bounce back so much faster than we do sometimes.

Tuzibaba... And the jealousy... ☕

The man earned it—honestly. He got ripped off in JAR, he got robbed in Poland... the guy deserved to have some justice from God to make up for the losses from all those trips they sent him on just to entertain this crazy nation... ☕
Ashley Ramirez4 said:You gotta admit though, those long-range shots happen way more often—I mean, we used to blast them in like that against the Danes all the time—but I haven't really seen anything quite like this before.
What’s the big deal? Honestly, it didn't even do anything for me... It's missing that certain *something* to make it truly bizarre—like if a ball that crazy actually fooled the keeper or something, just for the sake of pure artistic flair.🙂
Ashley Ramirez4 said:anyone ever seen a goal like this before? 😬
Nothing special really—it looked flashy, sure, but there was absolutely zero skill involved...
I mean, basically, the goalkeeper just blasts the ball straight into a player's head and it ricochets into the net. That's it.
Based on the headlines, I was actually expecting some woman to somehow maneuver the ball in with her backside—now *that* would have been bizarrely impressive, at least.

If a player passes the ball back to the keeper by hitting it with their shin, and the keeper picks it up with their hands, does that count as an indirect free kick? I don't recall ever seeing that happen during a game; usually, they just pass it back with their chest or their head.
My logic—without even digging through the official rulebook here—is that it shouldn't be allowed, simply because the ball was returned by the leg, and the shin is part of that leg.
The chest, the head, the butt, the shoulder—those aren't the leg. But the thigh, the shin, and the foot? Yeah, those definitely are...
Well, here I am—finally settled into life in Chicago after spending five years bouncing around Europe for the party scene. Honestly, I’m down for pretty much any kind of company if there's decent conversation involved 🙂 Whether we're talking rock music, getting deep into some philosophical debate, grabbing coffee, or hitting the town—men, women, ages 18 to 108 (I’m pushing 39 myself)—I’m game. And honestly? I could talk about just about anything all day long 🙂 I also love a good walk or a spontaneous little road trip now and then just for the hell of it. By the way, if anyone feels like heading out this Saturday to catch a Led Zeppelin Tribute concert at the Hells Angels, shoot me a message via PM. I’m trying to round up a group of fellow lonely souls so we can hang out and collectively beat back the solitude 🙂
Charles Fox10 said:You actually laid out all your reasons right here in this post
If you're referring to this specific section from that thread:
Regarding the moderators on the politics and history forum, I can only say you’re just as useless as the tabloid trash found in the American media—I suspect you're even quite aware of your own bias when it comes to scrubbing propaganda and trying to maintain any semblance of a civil debate, yet you're powerless to stop it.
And frankly, you don't seem to realize you're running an incredibly powerful medium—a realization coming from someone with a fairly extensive and unique background in the media industry.
By acting selectively—and usually through an ideological lens—and using suppression tactics, you're largely contributing to the growing intolerance and divisiveness within society, especially among the readers of this forum.
Well, I guess I didn't get my predictions wrong by a year after all.
"Give a man power, and you see who he really is."
Running a media outlet isn't for everyone—certainly not for those who use "objectivity" as mere flowery rhetoric to mask both their own interests and the plain truth.
Michelle Evans said:The moderators over at Politics and History decided she isn't coming back—and honestly, you basically signed off on that possibility yourself when you went asking for a partial refund.
What was the reason? Was she somehow unfit? Not bright enough?
No—you clearly don't get what I'm saying.
Charles Fox10 said:Sorry for the delay—was just digging through the PDFs. No way I'm letting the politics slide.
Are you kidding me?
I literally requested a partial breakdown over a year ago...
So what, am I banned now because of your decision regarding the PDF politics?
I know you all have your hands full, I really do—but look, the entire day has slipped by since I first asked about getting those partial payments cleared out...
I’d like to formally request the removal of my partial ban from the politics and history forums.
I actually went through this process—and had it approved—about a year ago.
Thanks!
For whoever this concerns,
I'm not sure if there's a way to do this, but I’d actually like to request a self-imposed hiatus—essentially, I want to be barred from commenting on the Politics and History forums for either six months or a year. If that specific option doesn't exist, then just give me a general ban for six months. It’ll be easier.
The place is clearly no longer a haven for common sense, so both the logic and I are officially resigning from those boards.
As for the administrators over in Politics, all I can say is you’re about as useful as the bottom-feeding tabloid hacks in the American media—honestly, I suspect you’re even aware of your own lack of objectivity when it comes to purging "agitprop" instead of fostering actual, healthy debate, but you seem unable to fix it.
And frankly, you don't even realize the sheer scale of the influence you wield over an incredibly powerful medium—that's coming from someone with a rather extensive and unique background in the media industry itself.
Through your selective, usually ideologically driven moderation and constant suppression, you’re largely responsible for fueling intolerance and divisiveness within society, especially among the readers of this forum.
That is my accusation against you. I won't be engaging with you anymore; quite simply, you aren't worth the effort of generating even a tiny bit of content for you to consume...
And if you *are* actually aware of what you're doing, the only thing you can do to me now is go jump in a lake, just like Hans Holcijus voj Seselja.
Zborih 🙂

He’s claiming that Mexico is using EMP devices to blast electromagnetic waves to "drive citizens in America and Canada crazy, fueling youth emigration, widespread depression, hatred, and intolerance."
What absolute bullshit. 😂😂😂🙏🙏🙏
Well, I guess the great American mystery has finally been solved. 🙂
